   The chairs outdoors are super uncomfortable...it's noisy and it feels like "less than" attentive service in that seating area. The food was okay--not great. It used to be unusual offerings and excellent. I find it to be predictable and like all other sushi restaurants now.

   Our first visit to OBON was for Mother's Day. There were three of us and we had the Poke Bowl, Street Noodles and the OBON Ramen. All dishes were delicious and we could not have been happier. Price were a bit on the high side, but for the food it felt worth every penny. The ladies had margaritas and I had a beer. The margaritas were tasty and strong, but a bit over-priced at $15 each, especially considering the size. We will likely visit again, but probably avoid the cocktails to keep the check manageable. With one drink each and three meals, we spent $150 (including 20% tip).

   Love Obon Great food! Had a wonderful server, Nadia, who was attentive, kind, efficient, friendly, fast and connected with all of us. She’s a keeper. Lately the service has been slow and cumbersome, with ridiculous wait times for food. I’m assuming they’re short staffed. However Nadia went above and beyond with us. I suggest avoiding Obon on Sunday’s when there’s super loud music across the street. Makes for no-talk dining because no one can hear each other over the ruckus. I do hope Obon brings back the mackerel. See you all soon. Thanks. 😊☀️

   I was blasted with a giant ceiling fan the entire meal that they couldn’t turn off/down so that was unpleasant. Certain items we ordered were forgotten and we had to remind the staff multiple times. One of my drinks came out finally with the check.

   Prolly one of the best Asian restaurants I have ever eaten at in the US. No joke. Poke bowl was fresh and bursting w flavor. Cucumber salad was enough to share w 3 of us. The specialty rolls were also delicious and the service was great. We’ll be back whenever we are in town.

   The restaurant was almost empty while we were there and the service was inattentive and terse. My ramen came out at least 5 minutes before my partners meal, the appetizer we ordered never got put in, and the staff never refilled our water. The ramen was salty and had an off flavor. The sushi tasted like it hadn't been properly refrigerated.

   Went for an anniversary dinner after the theater. Tables are really small for four people. Food was stellar though. Had the OBON edamame which was so tasty and not too spicy. I had the Kanto Beef, which was cooked perfectly and o couldn’t stop eating it fir the flavor! My husband had the Salmon Teriyaki, which was cooked perfectly and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Son had the Ramen and he loved it. My DIL had the California Roll, spicy Tuna and Cucumber Salad. Wine and beer were good as well. I would give it a higher rating for food and service alone, but the atmosphere is not very warm and the tables seem sooo small for multiple plates/people. Recommend highly if you’re ok with the atmosphere.

   Most of the food was decent, but vegan options were very weak. All entrees came out at completely different times, about 5-10 minutes apart each for a table of 4. Server said she couldn’t give us soy sauce bowls for our sushi because they were “out,” even though both empty tables around us had them on the table as part of the standard dinnerware. Overall it felt heavily overpriced with not great service - you’re paying to eat off Congress Street.

    Amazing sushi, our chef was personable and fun, lots of creative dishes with all of the standard rolls done very well. The spice was spot on and I cannot recommend OBON enough.

    Family of four on vacation, stopped by OBON for dinner. Ordered tonkatsu ramen, two cut sushi rolls, one nigiri, katsu sandwich, kanto beef, miso soup, egg rolls, and two drinks. Service was very slow. Sushi rolls arrived well after we finished dinner, and nigiri arrived 15 minutes after that. We had to remind the waitress to bring soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger with sushi rolls. We were seated promptly and greeted nicely upon arrival. Food was OK, not outstanding. Price was fair. Hard to find at night as the sign isn't illuminated. This place is fairly big with nice outdoor seating. Modern interior, clean, and looks very nice.

    Very poor service. Lost our sushi order and had to wait 1 hour fir dinner. No discount. Some items were cold. Soda was flat. Some of our group were done eating before others were even served. Overall a very bad experience.

    I found the food overpriced and not as tasty as I was hoping for the inflated price. The bao bun wasn’t a bun, the dough was more like a taco folded over some meat. It wasn’t awful, but I probably won’t come back.

    The food is never an issue there. Doesn't matter if Ramen is what you're after or some nice sashimi. This location has you. They are notoriously slow though so plan on a 2 hr meal if you aren't dining alone. I'm not sure why that is, but while I enjoy the space I do need to be able to make eye contact with my server so they know I need something. This is a miss, but totally an opportunity for growth if their goal is to give you space to enjoy and talk. The only real issue I have is with their welcoming team. They're well, unwelcoming! And it's not just this last visit. It's literally EVERY SINGLE TIME. Perhaps this girl needs to find something that isn't public-facing because she sets the tone for that place and the tone she sets is incredibly bad. I'd like to add that I don't live in Tucson, but I visit here and there because my parents live there. It's such a shame that the face of Obon is such a let down with her rudeness and lack of manners and cuth.

    Had dinner at Obon last night. Spicy tuna roll and California roll were excellent. Also, seaweed salad was superb as was Nigiri shushi. However, we did not care for the menu offerings. There is no tempura outside of rolls, for my wife. Further, Obon does not offer a sashimi assortment and there is no chirashi offered. If you want sashimi, my favorite, you have to order 4 of a kind, each fish. The waiter had not heard of chirashi. Obon may be nice for a large group where 4 shashimi of a kind or 10 of a kind (the $22 special last night) might work, but for a couple where only one likes sashimi, go someplace else, not Obon. All Sake offerings on menu appear to be draft, not in the usual 180ml or 300ml bottle.

    Horrible first time on a Tuesday night with a reservation. It took 20 minutes for our waitress to figure out we were seated. Food arrived before our drink order without a utensil to eat it (fried rice with chopsticks do not work well). My wife's drink never came even after enquiring about it 3 times. We had to flag down our waitress as she never stopped in to check on things. We finally called it, paid our tab after having my wife's drink order removed from the bill and left.     Overall our experience was good. Service was better than I was expecting based on some reviews I've read. Menu has changed since last time we visited 3 years back but overall pretty good. Ginza is still our favorite place for Japanese but we would come back to Obon.

    We sat outside in a nice spot but service was terrible. My husband waited 1 hour for his cocktail. The server was unfamiliar with bar items and they were out of many items. We felt completely ignored while other guests who were seated after us were finished with there meals before we were even served. The food was extremely salty, ramen soup was lukewarm at best. Our bill was 353.00 for 4 people. We have been to Obon consistently a couple times a year, but last night was our last visit.

    We waited 1 hour for our food to arrive while watching other diners who were seated after us receive their orders. Our server was hard to find, and when we were able to catch her attention and ask where our food was, she immediately sent over the manager. His attention and explanation was weak at best. It was obvious our order had either been lost or forgotten but there was no acknowlegement or offer to make things right. We were simply told with a shrug, "Sorry". If there had been some attempt by management to work with us and, at the least, explain what had happened, I could recommend this restaurant. However, they did nothing so I absolutely would not recommend anyone eating at Obon.

    The food was below average. My yakisoba dish was so soy heavy it was hard to eat! Other friends at dinner said theirs was below expectations. We won’t return. And very expensive
