Went there for a birthday dinner with my partner who ordered his steak medium to well but when it arrived was more rare but still very delicious, when the waiter asked if everything was ok we mentioned that the steak was underdone & when we came to pay they generously deducted the coffees & gave us complimentary chocolates & an added bonus deducted the service charge which I thought was a lovely gesture. Will definitely go again - the views are to die for!
Great place to go. Started off at the bar in Oblix East and then on to our table in Oblix West. Service and food were excellent and we were lucky enough to get a window seat which was a nice touch for my girlfriend's birthday. We'll definitely go there again. Loved it!
Went for my sons birthday. He had a lovely time. The oblix bar is lovely with amazing views. We had then seafood platter to start with and steaks for main both of which were amazing. Will be back!! All with an incredible view !!
Excellent restaurant and bar. Food was amazing and service was really friendly.
The food and service was amazing and the atmosphere calms and intimate. The only thing I would say is that it was a special anniversary and we mentioned this on the booking. Would’ve been nice if they could’ve done a little extra. Nonetheless, everything was great!
Cool view, great food and service
The food was not really as I expected. The lobster was overcooked, the sauce was way to simple (for lobster). Green beans taste and presentation was poor. Fried fries weren’t crispy at all (easiest thing to manage).
Overall there is a lack of creativity and they shouldn’t present themself exclusive, as the expectation get higher before food has been served.
Awful acoustics, bad service and dry disappointing food, the bar area was better.
This was booked for a birthday meal. Unfortunately we arrived slightly late for the booking (however within the 20 minute time frame). Upon arrival the host who took us to our seats reminded us that we were slightly late and that the table needed to be back by a certain time.
It was therefore completely unnecessary for the waiter to continuously reminded us as well throughout the meal. In fact when it came to ordering dessert the waiter handed us the menu and told us that we had 1 minute to order desert otherwise we wouldn’t be able to have any.
It’s a shame that the waiter felt it necessary to continuously remind us throughout the meal and it unfortunately ruined the atmosphere as we felt rushed. Sadly a very disappointing birthday meal.
We really loved it. A tad pricey but I would go back
We ordered a porter house wagyu beef for two and were told it will take 45 minute to cook . So we took out time and ordered some starters after 55 minutes we were told that our order did the reach the kitchen !!! So we had two choice either chose something else or wait another 44 minutes .
It was really a pity we were looking forward to the Wagyu beef and at the end had to chose something else .
The manager was very apologetic I know this things can happen . Appart from that the food was delicious and service good . Not sure I will go back any time soon
We were extremely disappointed with the service and quality of the food. Very pretentious
We ate all the food and got very full. Super attentive staff and amazing views
Fantastic attention to detail attentive but not over bearing, food quality was outstanding as was the service.
It’s kind of like a bucket list thing... it’s worth going to the Shard and eat out at Oblix for the view and the experience, other than that the service level is below average. The food wasn’t a great culinary experience either. When we arrived the “door lady” wasn’t the most polite and welcoming person. Our waiter rushed us to order drinks and food. When the food was served he never once asked or remembered who ordered what meal. We had to swap plates around so everyone got what they ordered. The only good thing about my visit at Oblix that we had a window seat. We tried to make the most out of it but I wouldn’t go back there again. We did not ask for the bill it was put on the table as a hint that our time was up which I totally understand but can we not be told in a polite way?
The service was so poor. The waiter was not attentive and we felt rushed throughout the night. The mains arrived when we were still halfway through the starter AND before we could even order drinks.
Mild improvement on food . Great new decor!
Outstanding service and exquisite food in a fantastic location with a hell of a view. Couldn’t be better in any detail.
Staff super friendly but the table staff need to coordinate wirh the sommelier and know better how to manage the wine. A 2007 Bordeaux was semi-decanted to allow sediment to settle only for the waiter to simply empty the remainder into the decanter. That was just a £70 bottle so be wary if you ask for the Petrus....
The treatment by the staff, right from the front door, was exceptional.
Our waiter, Attila was brilliant. He made us feel very special.
Thoroughly recommend this place even if you only do it once.
Took a long time to attain our food and then it was tepid or cold so not impressed for such a selective venue. Best thing was the view from the venue but otherwise not a restaurant that I would book again, unless invited.
Good: The views are amazing. The tuna tartare was prepared and presented nicely. The dover soul was kind of lacking based on the price.
Reserved a table and was seated at a counter with a bunch of people. I really wanted a table
The meal took over 2.5 hours. While I appreciate the desire to create a dining experience, it was simply frustrating.
Server was non-existent until it was time to pay. He handed me the device because he wanted me to add a gratuity. I asked him if a service charge was already included. He said "Yes, but I have to split that with people that bus the tables etc." It was so very uncomfortable as he stood over my shoulder waiting for me to put a number in. I felt guilted into doing so even though the service was terrible.
Security is a pain but necessary to get into the building (not their fault and certainly a reasonable precaution given the venue)
It was my birthday dinner, We had the worst customer service experience of ever had in a restaurant and I was very disappointed and also I will be cancelling all of the future bookings
It was so nice made me feel so special on my birthday
Had a great time, waiter was excellent. Was not rushed. Drink kept topped up. Only irritating thing: I was phoned three times before appointment regarding special requests
I went with my friend to celebrate her job promotion and the staff were so efficient and attentive, even organising a celebration plate. Food was great and view was stunning
Amazing service and even better food
The food was nice although we all found the cakes too sweet. Tables could have been a little cleaner. Staff were lovely.
Staff were very polite and personal out standing job to your team would highly recommend
Vittorio and Italo are amazing.
Afternoon tea with a friend from Brazil
It was my second visit for a birthday celebration. It is very impressive in all aspects. I look forward to going again for a special treat.
Lovely city views great food and wonderful ambience. Will return!
Extremely nice venue. Our table was closer to the center of the restaurant but we were moved to an excellent window table upon request. That completely changed the setting... Outstanding customer service. Pricey, but food and scenery are well worth the money.
Very enjoyable. The food may be a little overpriced, but you pay for the view which is superb.
Took my Mrs here for her Birthday. Called ahead to let them know it was her birthday and the ushers welcomed her with a Happy Birthday before seating us and for the desert did a happy birthday message on the plate.
We asked at the restaurant to move to a window seat which they were happy to accomodate. Seating by the window is more intimate and romantic. View was amazing we went at 2030hrs and had clear view of St Paul’s Cathedral, and looking towards Big Ben. The atmosphere is intimate and we were able to laugh and enjoy the evening cause the background noise covers it!
We had the tuna tartar and the linguine for starters, the lobster and the sea bass for main and Creme Brûlée and pecan desert. Overall really tasty! Starters were delicious - could do with a bit more on the plate. Lobster was nice - only criticism was that it was small and could of done with something to complement and accompany it on the plate - is just a lobster! Sea bass was full of flavour, well presented and garnished with Veges that we’re flavourful and well cooked. Once again had to pick extra sides to go with it. Mrs had this and I was a bit jealous! Desert was refreshing and portion size was good.
Overall it is a bit expensive, and portions are a bit small, but I would say the price you pay is for the food and the view.
Good service - very proffesional and friendly and relatively quick.
Drinks we had cocktails - could of done with a wider selection, and they were pretty much standard selection but drinks we had were good.
Main thing - my Mrs was very happy!
Unless you get a window table which you can't reserve in advance, you'll just be paying for an expensive meal which you could get at a nice London restaurant for cheaper.
We had for starters crab cakes & soft shell crab, for mains 300g rib eye, lobster, Mac & cheese and chips. 2 glasses of wine and a bottle of water for £167 incl service
We were given a booth at the back so could see the views...over people's heads.
Staff were great though
Food wasn’t great, service was so so, Aqua was a million times better. Not one I will be visiting again especially with clients.
It was a great experience, fantastic view of London and great ambiance, really enjoyed the night. Perfect for a date night or special occasion.
