The wait staff was superb - very knowledgeable about the menu and wines, gave us plenty of time to enjoy drinks before ordering then moved us to a fabulous table with an incredible view when it became available. Drinks were very expensive but other than that a perfect way to spend our 7th anniversary
Food and Service was Fantastic!!
Excellent service. Wonderful atmosphere. Food magnificent. Price reasonable. Overall faultless. Easy straight 10 out of ten.
Great place that first impression was just amazing but unfortunately my steak was over done but still well seasoned. Amazing experience definitely coming back very soon.
The views were amazing but we were disappointed with the service.
Food was nice, service at beginning was disappointing as they knew it was a special occasion and felt we dining at All Bar One on high stools! But it was rectified within 10min when I spoke to the manager
Sadly I won’t ever be going here again after this experience even though I’ve been going to Oblix now for several years. It was an awful abusive experience from the start... and yes I mean abusive! It started with me receiving several text messages asking for confirmation which I responded to and then two phone calls asking for my confirmation again. I understand that tables need to be managed however this was almost enough to put me off as it was incompetent administration not utilising the tools they have in place. Then on arrival we were dropped off at the bar as we waited for our table. I understand this process however given you are inviting many people in to drink only at the bar, this can be very upsetting to people coming in as we were constantly asked to move so non table booking visitors could get drinks. People were getting angry! We were sat at our table next to the drinking table and it was another new challenge of people bumping us as we ate... we were moved thankfully to the window but then came the worst part ... people who aren’t eating were allowed to walk up to our table and literally lean over us as we ate... the staff try to ask them not to but with how busy they are this is nearly impossible to manage given the volume. After about 20 or so person to do that to us I asked a lady and gentleman to please not lean over me as I was eating and she then yelled at me and called me the most disgusting swear word you can imagine. I had to ask the staff to please ask her to go away which they did and what looked like gave her a drink to calm her down. They then came to us and tried to reduce the bill which I refused. You can’t buy my view of Integrity. Throwing money at the fact I was assaulted during my dinner is offensive. This place has become a tourist trap and clearly doesn’t care about regular visitors or the safety of the people onsite. It is an accident waiting to happen... sadly although the food was lovely, this turned me off for good...
Very rushed service. Brought mains before starters were finished.
Absolutely stunning and the food was delicious.
Awful service and snobby staff
My pastor’s b’day
Great experience on the whole. The restaurant was busy and service on the drinks was quite slow but food service was fine.
Music through the meal was great ( for us oldies as we were celebrating a 50th) but got a bit more trendy and youthful towards the end when the DJ came on so we decided to move on.
Can’t beat the location though and the quality of food was very good.
I was absolutely shocked at the lack of labelling of the food at the Brunch on a Saturday. How can you have a Caesar Salad that has Ham in it not mentioned anywhere on the sign.
Had a appalling experience where the manager who thinks he's the only 1 who seems to understand about running a restaurant.
I've told all my friends to avoid this place like the plague rubbish value for money and the staff attitude stinks. Not only will I not be returning but nor will any of my friends and associates.
It's such a shame that such a special day was spoilt by suck stinking attitude of the manager.
Came to London for my birthday from the states. Made my reservation for Oblix East. Told them it was my birthday when we got there. Which they said “happy birthday”. Which that was it- no celebratory cake or ice cream. Food was decent. Menu on opentable is different pricing than what is at the restaurant. Had sea bass- had bones in it. You’re paying for the view and to say you’ve eaten at The Shard and to take pictures.
This is a great venue, all round a great place to dine.
Was very hurried from the moment arrived got drinks wrong. Gad sea bass was not very hot. Very dark ambience and bustling had my chair knocked several times
Our party of 4 was visiting London from the states and wanted a special last lunch meal. The views from this restaurant are amazing. The service was also great. The waiter switched us to a window table for dessert when it cleared up toward the end. The food and drinks were excellent but of course expensive- it’s a London high rise so.... The environment is ‘exclusive’ and so my tourist attire and sensible shoes meant I stood out a little from the cool kids. I never feel entirely comfortable in any super hip establishment, but it was a memorable way to end our trip and I’m glad we went.
Birthday treat for my wife, she thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, we went for the brunch which proved good value with the unlimited wine, food across the board was of a very good standard and the service was superb, staff where friendly and attentive without being overbearing, nice realxed atmospher and wont hesitate to return.
Extremely bland and food went out un tasted by their chefs. No salt in pasta water, etc
From the moment you first arrive, you can already feel the special atmosphere in Oblix. You’re greeted by a team of what seems like a very professional catering team with a warming welcome. Initially, when we were walked to our table, me and my fiancé were extremely disappointed that we were sat right by the bar and no where near the windows whatsoever, seeing as it was a special occasion evening dinner for us we weren’t seeking to sit by the bar and having drinks we were after a special romantic dinner. However, after speaking to the manager, to my surprise he listened to us and accommodated us and as soon as a table was free we were moved over to a window seat. The food was amazing, we ordered the lamb chops and the ragyu burger along with hand cut chips and mac and cheese, I could see no fault at all with any of the food except that it was on the pricy side however it was understandable for the location. You can immediately tell that the food is prepared with using the highest quality ingredients along with the utmost care. We also had dessert ordering the cheesecake along with the Crème brule tart both were amazing and we were both extremely happy with everything. To the manager that listened to us and accommodated to us you made our evening special & I would definitely come back to oblix again.
Food was decent, service was excellent and of course the views are stunning
I went to Oblix East to celebrate my Graduation. It was perfect!
The service was amazing, the music was great and they made me feel like a queen. The food was really good too!
My kids have been wanting to go up the shard for sometime and I booked it for my sons 10th birthday lunch with family. We booked Oblix East as it was more informal than the main restaurant and the kids could walk around and see the views without disturbing anyone. It was a quarter full and some families & kids
Service was incredibly poor and slow. The staff had to be eyed and waved to come and serve. This was a shame as they should be more alert. The wine menu had to asked for and the wines and prices per bottle are not listed for all and I ordered a rose wine not even knowing the price based on waiters choice. I felt ashamed to ask the price but felt they had made the menu unclear and by glass with many wines not listed. This didn’t seem right.
The artisan bread did not come warm and the kitchen forgot two main courses and we had to wait over 20 minutes to get this by which time the rest of the table had finished their food. Food was presentable but not outstanding in taste at the price they charge and a steak at a good steakhouse would be far juicier. The sauces with the steaks were also very oily and one of our guests had to ask for their chimichurra as they had forgotten it. We had to rush our meal as one guest had a train to catch and couldn’t have dessert though we had arrived in plenty of time and the delay in main courses caused this.
The best dish was the starter squid and some went with the set menu and some a la carte. My son had the lobster and it was a reasonable size and he liked it.
The restaurant manager acknowledged the poor service and removed the 4 side dishes but could have done more but we didn’t want to ask with it being a birthday with guests.
The bill was £371 for 5 with two kids and one bottle of wine at £71.
We would have loved some special service at this price and tastier food but you come here for the views. considering it’s a Rainier Becker restaurant, I suggest he does some mystery checks himself as it’s way below his standards.
Fabulous experience the moment you get off the elevator. The ambience was calm yet welcoming. Service was exceptional. Definitely a must while in London.
Excellent service with attentive staff from the start. After being taken back by the ambience and beautiful views I had drinks and nibbles served in a timely manner whilst we waited for mains.
Beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection and presentation was spot on. The cheesecake for dessert was a lovely touch to finish up. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
I took my Mum as a belated birthday present along with her friend and the whole afternoon was fabulous. The waiters were attentive and very helpful with one of my parties food intolerance. I had advised them in advance and they were prepared when the menu's arrived to discuss the options. The wines that we had were lovely, well priced and their recommendation on one of them was well received by us all. We were originally told that we would only have the table for 2hrs but in the end we were there for nearly 4, no one rushed us, it was perfect and my Mum, most importantly thoroughly enjoyed herself. :) I will return for sure!
Lovely place with fantastic views from the Shard. Perfect to meet friends, end enjoy their fantastic food along with their cocktails.
One of my favourite Brunch in London when out for a real treat.
Amazing food and view.
Everything is so delicious, top of the game cuisine.
Only one thing could be better if some tea or coffee would be included with the non alcoholic option, it's a brunch after all :)
Amazing venue and views. Disappointed with the service. Too many waiting staff seemingly covering multiple tables so we had confusion over who was taking our order. Had to wait 40 minutes before we were served our first drink!!
Tables were far too low for dining and furthermore the distance to the other side of the table made holding any conversation virtually impossible- particularly over the sound of the live music.
Food was ok- very small portions for the prices and nothing special to report.
If this is purely a drinks venue then fabulous, but as a dining experience it has a long way to go to parallel the experience of the other side!
Waiters were very charming
World class amazing service , absolutely cannot praise the staff enough , they were simply brilliant . Unfortunately the food was extremely disappointing . Booked Ting for next week instead .
A wonderful & memorable experience. The very friendly and attentive crew matched with fresh and delicious cuisine has made our birthday celebration even more special. We were blessed with lovely weather hence the view was even more spectacular.
I will certainly return to this venue and bring my family and friends.
Awsome service, made my fiancé day even better on her birthday with complimentary mock tails and window seats. Really polite staff
Lovely food but service was not great.
Sides came without the main but then was eventually rectified.
Made it clear it was a special occasion but this did not seem to have been noted.
The restaurant was great for its selection of food and views. The views were lovely and we had enough time to relax on the table
Un restaurante bar muy ameno y acogedor, una vista espectacular de Londres y una muy buena atención, imperdible si uno visita la ciudad.
The best service ever, I had a special occasion and the staff made sure that everything goes as planned and smoothly.
Amazing view and ambience! The Wednesday night band was phenomenal. Food and service were excellent. We enjoyed soft shell crab and octopus appetizers followed by lobster pasta and blackened cod- all absolutely delicious. We were running late for our reservation time but called ahead and it was not a problem. Would return for sure!
