I visit Obica Flatiron often. The food is excellent and great value considering the fair / moderate pricing. My guest and I shared the excellent antipasto platter and what I think is the best calimari I've ever eaten. We enjoyed the prosciutto so much we ordered a second plate to share. - The Montefalco Rosso is a great-tasting affordable (by the bottle) wine from Umbria although at $16, it is way over-priced by the glass. We should have bought the bottle for better value.
First time at Obica, and it was delicious. It was very quiet at lunch - a reflection of our current times, I am sure. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Always amazing!!! Amazing food and staff!!!
The menu was not simple to understand, it was worthless. Every item was really over priced.
Service was poor, the noise level was so high you could hear someone seated next to you.
Large wine selection, here to overpriced and worthless.
Place was great but the outside seating was not the best. too much traffic passing by on bike and cars
The cocktails are brilliant. Try the Fume. Steak is wonderful. Great experience!
Always an amazing time and amazing food and service!!!
One of my favorite restaurants!!!
Excellent. Food and service !!!!!!
Food was great as usual
We had a really negative experience here on a Saturday night. First, we got the mozzarella sampler as an appetizer to start and all 3 of the cheeses were so bland. There was no salt/Olive oil on them and they lacked flavor.
For our mains, I ordered gluten free pomodoro because I am allergic to gluten and have celiac disease. The waitress repeated our order and confirmed gluten free pasta. My boyfriend got a pizza. When our meals were served, I could tell my pasta wasn’t gluten free because she said it would be penne pasta and it was a different shape. The server confirmed it was not GF so they had to take it back to the kitchen and remake it (took 20 min). My boyfriends pizza was cold - it seemed like the sauce was lukewarm and the dough was hot but it didn’t make the sauce hot enough. It also said it came with basil on the top and when we asked for basil (since there was none) the waitress said that basil didn’t come on that pizza. We then showed her the menu and that it does and she said “oh ok yeah I’ll get some”.
I had been to this restaurant before and had a good experience but after this I won’t be going back. Our food lacked flavor and there were a lot of mistakes.
The service was amazing
Glad to be back in one of my favorite and local dining establishments...
Good food and service outdoors..
Kudos to them for outdoor lunch during Covid. Usually everything at this restaurant is A+++ but this time the service was sadly lacking. Still, the food was delicious and I’m thankful they were open.
Obica has some of the most delicious and most original pizza in NYC, as well as divine pasta dishes. The crust is outstanding and the mozzarella is genuine bufalo. Their shavings of black truffle are very generous. The interior is very comfortable and soon we can eat indoors again!
Obica restaurants can be found throughout Italy (where we first stumbled upon it) as well as London, etc. In NYC Flatiron, because the block has very little traffic, eating curb-side is much better than at most other places, though the subway does pass underfoot occasionally.
Food was good but waitress were so long each time you were asking for something
Amazing cuisine. Outstanding service. One of my faves.
I enjoyed a green salad and eggplant parmigiana which was excellent. We had excellent service and the outdoor seating in the middle of Covid was as treat. I was disappointed in the wine selections and less than enjoyable Rose which was overpriced at $14 per glass. Overall, I would return and recommend, but request a wine list in advance.
My friend and I had a great dinner and a couple glasses of wine last night. The host and waiter were very nice and helpful, the food was delicious we split the lasagna and the cacio é pepe spaghetti, both were fantastic and good sized portions (not too much food). The wine was great as well. Always loved this place, happy to see it is still open :)
Took my father here for his birthday. Service was excellent, safe, considerate and didn't feel out of step with anything I'd hope for during "normal" times. Food was delicious and our servers were kind, friendly and attentive. Will be back for sure!
The host was rude. The restaurant was practically empty and they sat us next to the bussing station. The bread was stale. The soup tastes like canned. Pizza was just ok.
Beautiful large space. Service was slow but friendly.
Great cheese and charcuterie options and very cool ambiance.
Good food & drinks. We had a very attentive server.
Found this in the promoted section and was decently
surprised. The interior decor is awesome and their booths for larger groups are very cozy and stylish. The prosciutto and buffalo were outstanding! As I would hope so at a mozzarella bar and everything was great. The happy hour bartender seemed less than eager to help us but did not hinder the rest of the experience!
Poor service, average food for vegetarians, did not enjoy the dinner
The food was so very underwhelming. This is my second time going and I was truly hoping that the first time was just an off night, but that seems to not be the case.
They’re a mozzarella bar and their burrata was so unfortunately tasteless. Their ragu sauce was very watery. Overall a very disappointing meal.
The wine was good. The ambiance and decor is lovely, but with the food being what it is I sadly don’t see myself going back for a 3rd disappointing meal
Excellent service, attractive design, and exceptional food make for a very enjoyable experience. The price fixe lunch, salad and entree, is a terrific deal at $19.
It was just a bit too loud when we visited! Food and service are excellent!
The $19 per-fix lunch menu is a real bargain. Plenty to choose from and the food was superb.
Very mediocre food, did not remember/note that it was my birthday.
We were quite disappointed with our food. Our pizza was soggy, they were out of burrata. The service was beyond slow. Took 30 mins to get our drinks out. Even longer for food.
Great great great.... if is possible to have obica in Paris...
Obica is great, the food is delicious and the ambiance is always nice.
For an Italian restaurant the food is just ok.
Was there twice in one week to try different things and was very hopeful, but the best things were the soup and the calamari.
I have had better pizza, the bufala was too runny and the arancini was blah.
The panna cotta was amazing
My husband and I came for Valentines Day. The host was very nice. I have celiac so I have to eat gluten free. Our server recommended which appetizers and entrees I could eat and everything tasted great. We had a variety of mozzarella cheeses and pasta dishes. I was even able to eat dessert. The wine selection is really good too. We had a great time.
The service was excellent, our waiter was very attentive and helpful when it came to us asking questions and ordering. Wine was very good but a bit pricey. We really enjoyed the cold antipasto.
Fresh and lively.
I love this restaurant! Definitely will come back again or take my friend.
The food is so yummy and fresh, especially pizza.
Horrible. Worst meal I’ve had in nyc. Every single thing was off.
Great food, waiters were lovely
