Obica Mozzarella Bar, Pizza e Cucina - Century City Ratings and Reviews
The food was a bit disappointing - the red pepper bruschetta was so spicy we couldn't finish it and the grilled veggie salad didn 't have much flavor.
We had the wait for our dessert for quite a while and when it came we had to wait for it to defrost a bit before we could cut into it.
This was the first time I'd been at the new Century City mall since it reopened, and my first time at Obica and I was totally impressed with both. I enjoyed people watching and drinking a wonderful pinot while waiting for my friend. The ambiance was cozy and not too noisy. My friend and I shared a caprese salad and the duck pappardelle - both were delish and, yes, I would order the same again. All in all, our dining experience was a positive one and I will definitely return .
Was at Century City mall and stayed for dinner. We have never seen the restaurant, assumed it was part of the new redo, but found out it had been there 7 years. Very pleasant atmosphere, attentive service, interesting menu and very reasonably priced for Century City. We will go back.
Even though we've eaten at Obica a hundred times, we always remark at what a good meal it is every time we go. The service is friendly and casual. The food. Is fresh, delicious and have items we crave, like the Bresaola and the lasagna. It is definitely a great restaurant that shouldn't go unnoticed in the Century City Mall!
This restaurant is known for its cheese and charcuterie and thee reason was evident. The focus on small plates, pizza and pasta. We started with the Mozzarella experience, a platter with burata and mozzarella and various charcuterie, accomanied by focaccio and a dish of pesto and a smalls servihg of an yummy eggplant apetizer. We also shared eggplant parmigania whoch was not up to our standard and branzino which was. service was very good exceot getting our check was a bit slow. We will return.
been to Obica number of times. The buratta is outstanding as is the quality of the prosciutto. We always split that and an entrée (this time sliced tagliata) and it was a perfect meal for us. Had the veal Milanese (one of my favorites in general) last time and it was NOT good. It's next to one of our favorite movie theatres and we often go for a light meal afterwards. The pizza at the ta le next to us looked great
Michael is amazing! ... Here's what happened: We had a 7:30 reservation there after seeing a movie. We arrived on time, and there was only one table available, which was in the middle of major service traffic - servers on either side with dishes walking by all the time, etc. It was really disruptive. We decided we'd rather wait for another table than stay where we were. The host, Michael knew we wanted to move. And 10 minutes later he sat us at a corner table for 4 (even there were just 2 of us) so we had room and quiet. AND he surprised us with free champagne, topped with strawberries! The food and service were great. And we wrapped the evening with a dessert drink - also on the house from Michael. I've been to this place once before (without the free drinks), and the service and food were good then too. A great spot for pre/post movie dinner. ...Thanks again, Michael!
I am a repeat customer to Obica. Their pizza is wonderful, and I have enjoyed the other menu options as well. Great tiramisu! The manager is from Italy and personally comes by to ensure all is well. A great place to have lunch/dinner before or after a movie at Century City mall. They have a cute outdoor patio. FYI, there is also an Obica in Santa Monica.
I was looking forward to coming here after a movie at century city, we made a reservation but it seemed to not matter as there as nobody there. The food was cold and it's not your typical Italian restaurant. We basically ordered the same thing and the waiter didn't tell us. Won't be going back :(
