Obasan serves authentic Japanese cuisine. The d�cor inside the restaurant is traditional and matches the kind of cuisine it serves. The waiters and owner are friendly, courteous, welcoming and professional. Obasan has a menu that offers different varieties of sushi, seafood, chicken and beef. The food served is fresh, light and beautifully presented. Their specials are the house special ramen; ginger pork and also an array of veggie options are available too. Obasan is open daily for lunch between 11:00 am to 3:00 p.m. then again for dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The restaurant also has a happy hour from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.

We booked Obasan on Opentable prior to them removing that option. We had a concert at Key Arena a couple hours later, so figured it would be a good location to start from. We were seated promptly, but then ignored for 15 minutes while the single, overwhelmed waitress attempted to keep up with tables and new arrivals. Eventually we got up and left, and did a walk-in at Atlas kitchen.

Great little Japanese place in Queen Anne. Our family visited after a show at the Children's Theater and it was enjoyed by all. The sushi was delicious and the service was amazing. The ambience is nothing special, but it is simple and clean.

When I showed up for my reservation which was confirmed 2 times via email they indicated they do not use open table. There was no table available for us. So don't make reservations via open table for this restaurant.

Though Obasan was very busy the night of our meal due to a concert, the two front end staff were very attentive and efficient. The food was quite good too
