I cannot comment on the food as far as this visit goes, because we never got a chance to eat.
This place is not equipped to handle a crowd. They crammed about ten tables in this small location. I had a reservation and all that was available for us was a two person table, but we were a party of three. That table was located directly next to the door on a 40 degree night. We might as well have been seated outside it was so cold. There are only two people working and it took 15 minutes just to come over and take our drink order. A group was leaving during our wait so we asked to move. They were willing to accommodate, but it took them 20 minutes to clear the table. We ended up leaving and went next door to Bistro Di Marino.
Don’t advertise on open table that you have an opening for three people (1,000 point table at that) and then sit them at a two person table where you know they are going to be uncomfortable.
The food was terrible. The guacamole was the worst guacamole I have ever had. The service was just ok. Unfortunately we will not return.
Once again, everything was wonderful at Oasis Mexican Grill. My S/O is locked in on the Crabmeat Enchiladas, while I tried something new - poblano peppers stuffed with ground beef and Oaxaca cheese, apple and pear - and topped with a mild walnut cream sauce. She liked the taste of mine a lot, but thinks it would be difficult to find anything better than her crabmeat Enchiladas.
Oh, and if you like authentic tortilla chips, theirs are as good as they come. Complimentary, they also come with your choice of three sauces - a fiery red one, mild green one and a pico de gallo that is not overloaded with onions, nor is it dripping wet like so many other places.
For Mexican is South Jersey, this has become our go-to restaurant.
PS The servers are always cheerful, pleasant and as attentive as you need them to be.
Service is exceptional. Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Food is fresh and authentic. One of my faves.
Real deal authentic Mexican. Try everything on the menu!
Very attentive and pleasant staff. The food tasted very fresh. Nice dining atmosphere.
Make sure you have a reservation because the restaurant is extremely small but the food is excellent.
Very nice neighborhood meal. Service was outstanding! Very attentive and made great recommendations.
A delicious find we had not tried so close to home. We enjoyed everything we ate including the stuffed poblano pepper from the special menu. A small intimate restaurant with great service and excellent food. We also loved the tamale appetizer it was savory and satisfying. We will be back.
I recently visited Oasis Mexican grill on vday with my BF! And we really enjoyed ourselves. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted by Meghan, who was very pleasant, and seated us immediately. It’s a byob, so we brought our own wine. Which they put in a ice bucket and provided us with wine glasses. Our server Eliana ( I hope I was close to spelling it correctly)was also very pleasant and patient as we took our time reviewing the menu. Complimentary,we were offered fresh chips ,guac, & salsa. To sum it all the food was AMAZING, very fresh, and we will be back. This was our first time trying a restaurant in Collingswood and we were very pleased. #Willbereturning#SupportSmallBusinesses!
Always amazing. Never misses. Service is awesome and you can't beat the prices. Veggie tacos and chicken tacos are our faves
The food at oasis is always high quality. Service is prompt and the food is fresh. The inside is a little small but it is a very intimate vibe and you still have privacy at your table. The price for 2 for dinner was only $24...it is great!
I went on a spur of the moment dinner and it was delicious. My boyfriend loves Mexican food and I’m not a fan but, the chicken tamale and the lobster enchiladas were AMAZING!!! The service was great. The staff was very friendly and outgoing. I will definitely be going back.
The food was absolutely fabulous. Service was also fabulous. The venue is small, only about 10 tables. The door is wide and every time the door opened, you could feel a draft. There wasn't anything to be done about it because the venue is small.
We’ve now had many great meals here but this was the best yet!!
First let me start by saying Megan our server was amazing, very friendly and cheery! She saw we had a bottle of margarita mix in hand and brought us iced salt rimmed margarita glasses without saying a word! We started with Nachos Festival, delicious & more than the three of us could eat! Between the three of us (& a take-out order) we had Tacos de Carnitas, Tacos de Bistec, Tacos de Pescado (Mahi-Mahi) and Crab Meat Enchiladas! Everything was mouthwatering and the portions were perfectly sized (we all have a little leftover for lunch today). Great spot for any occasion!
The food was of authentic nature which I like but my wife prefers a mexican/american flavor. In general the food was good but could have been spicier for our taste. For example, the guacamole appetizer had no spices or anything added, was pure straight mashed quac.
The approach to the "basic" Mexican food one finds at other restaurants is fresh and inventive. A burrito or chicken taco here is more flavorful than experienced at comparable places. And the menu provides a nice diversity of more varied dishes as well.
Great food. Wonderful service. Would recommend to my friends and family.
Food was delicious and well prepared. The best Chimichanga I have had and the guacamole dip was excellent. It is a byob. Menu was varied that each of us could find something we liked. All the meals were excellent. Would highly recommend.
Quiet late Sunday night dinner. Food was delicious and tasefully seasoned. Everything was fresh and appeared homemade. Loved that you were able to taste all the ingredients. Unlike some Mexican food whete you only taste garlic onions and spice.
This is a cute little place that servers amazing dishes!a
Well this is a hidden restaurant so good
Exceptional good food for a small place. This was just a lucky find.
Wonderful gourmet Mexican food! Very different and very tasty. Will definitely be back again for dinner and lunch. I had for dinner the Chile en nogada. Two roasted poblano pepper filled Oaxaca cheese, sautéed ground beef, pears, apples, peaches and raisins topped with walnut cream sauce covered in pomegranate seeds. It was absolutely delicious!
Authentic and Delicious Mexican restaurant! Bring a bottle of wine and enjoy! We'll be back very soon! Great value!
Food was great
What a find! Delicious and creative cuisine. Thank you open table reviewers!
The Oasis was very small but the food was very good. Our waiter was very good and took our order promptly and efficiently. Would go back and recommend to a friend
We had a great experience. Food was delicious. Thx!
The food is very fresh and delicious. It was not heavily salted which was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely be making another trip back.
Went for restaurant week every course was great. Nice and quaint environment
My husband and I went to Oasis Mexican grill for dinner in a Friday night. The sevice was prompt and our food was delicious. We enjoyed it more than our usual Mexican restaurant. It is a litle small, but othwise a great place to eat delicious Mexican food.
As usual, fabulous food!!
As authentic as I've had north of the border. Small place but great food! This isn't your place if you think taco bell is Mexican....definitely will be visiting again.
Our appetizers never came out. Service was awkward. The atmosphere leaves little to be desired. Our meals came out with no mention of our apps. The meals were delicious though. The fish enchiladas were fantastic. Dessert was ok.
Everyone so nice and food was delicious. Great service.
The food was average. Lacked flavor but came with a hair in my food. Kitchen staff should wear hair nets or pull the hair up in a manner that does not fall in the food. I will not return and will not recommend to others. I am very surprised with the previous reviews.
The food was delicious and the special was creative. My dish was two large roasted poblano peppers, stuffed wit Oaxaca cheese and served in a walnut cream sauce. The homemade tortilla chips were excellent though due to dietary restrictions, both of us had to request no beans on them - or any other dish. Instead of rice and beans, they happily gave us each double rice. The selection of sauces for the tortilla chips were a fire-hot green, a spicy red and a pico do gallo that was better and different than any I've ever had elsewhere. My S/o had four crab stuffed enchiladas in a cream sauce. We brought our own wine (Collingswood is a dry town) and were too stuffed to order dessert. We were also quite happy that we did not order an appetizer.
The server was very energetic and friendly, though was clearly new at the job, in that she seemed in a hurry to fill our orders. On the whole, however, we were satisfied both with her efforts and any assistance she got.
I definitely would recommend this place. Just don't fill it up make it too hard to get a reservation. LOL
