   I booked this for a fathers day lunch and was amazed at the helpfulness of the staff. They went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and even provided a welcome environment for our dog and provided water bowls etc for him. The service from all the staff were fantastic and it made the whole experience a fantastic afternoon with great quality food.

   We were staying at the hotel & decided to have our dinner there too. It was our 10th wedding anniversary & the hotel was where we had our reception. We were given a complimentary glass of prosecco at the start of our meal. The food was delicious albeit fairly expensive. They also gave us complimentary chocolate brownies on a slate with Happy Anniversary written in white chocolate at the end of the meal. That was a lovely idea. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal & they certainly made us feel special.

   I booked a table at this restaurant, because it had a single five star review on Opentable. That reviewer was spot on: I really can't fault anything about our meal, a Sunday lunch, at the Oaks Restaurant. Christian, our waiter, bent over backwards to make sure our experience was excellent, and was always on hand. The food - I had Scallop starter and Roast beef main; my wife had pork belly starter and Turbot for main - was sublime. So much flavour, cooked to perfection and best of all, we found it to be excellent value. Will definitely be returning when we're next near Oxford. Would very much recommend to everyone.
