    We arrived late to our reservation but the staff still worked with us even though they were very packed. The level of service was great considering how busy it was, Maddy was our server. I ordered the Papa Juan and it was delicious, some might say a little on the spicy side due to the peppers but that's why I liked it so much. I now see what all the hype is about, definitely recommend it! P.S. They have gluten-free options too.

    An amazing experience. Great interior decor and atmosphere. The service, while a little busy, was still very polite and kind. Our appetizer was the Baked Goat Cheese, which was fantastic, very tasty. Our entrees included the Nashville chicken sandwich, and the Steak and Frites. The chicken sandwich was one of, if not THE most tender and moist chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. While I usually prefer a spicy flavor, the profile they chose was excellent. Felt very classic but unique in its own right. The Steak was seasoned well, and extremely tender, melted in my mouth. The fries we got with both dishes were excellent, very crispy. For dessert we ordered the Bread Pudding, and it’s an understatement to say it was great. Very well put together overall and I will definitely be returning.

    The beehive fried cheese curds were out of this world. The loved the pepperoni pizza with hot honey, wow a def must try! The shaved brussel sprouts were such as treat with the pinyon nuts and lemony vinaigrette. Loved seeing a NM local gruet rose on the menu, a must try if you’ve never had it before

    Took my wife and two kids for an Easter lunch. Hostess was friendly and sat us right away. When the server came to take our order she didn’t seem to know much about gluten-free options (I have an allergy). Figured it out anyway. Ordered some drinks with our meal, which were brought out immediately. After waiting for about 35 minutes she brought out the beignet starters, and 15 seconds later the kids food. Some of the beignets were raw and inedible. She didn’t bring any syrup for my son’s waffles. Didn’t bring my or my wife’s order. And then she disappeared. If the place was slammed I would be understanding, but it wasn’t. After 5-10 minutes she finally came out and I had to waive her over. Only one of the 4 of us was able to eat (my son wasn’t interested in eating a dry waffle) and we had lost confidence that the food was safe to eat after the raw beignets. We asked to cancel the rest of the order and she finally got the syrup. The manager happily comped everything but the kids two orders. I’m sure this was an off day and not normal. It’s too bad because we were really looking forward to trying it. If we get enough positive feedback from other people we might try it again.

    This restaurant has the potential to improve without much effort. Provide more robust server orientation and check the food before it leaves the kitchen and it could easily be a 4-4.5 start restaurant. AMBIANCE - The dining room was attractive and clean; we received a warm welcome. - The music was too loud to converse with people on the other side of our table. - The light in the bathroom was too dim to use without straining FOOD - My salmon, asparagus spears and rice were nicely prepared. - The Wood Oven Asparagus apetizer was also nicely prepared (arugula, pancetta, pecorino, tomato, bacon, vinaigrette, and a poached egg). The poached egg was a little undercooked. - The strawberry shortcake didn't give me a reason to order it again. - The only coffee they offer is the French press, which I enjoy since I can stop the steeping before it becomes too strong. However, the water was not hot enough to sufficiently steep. I'd suggest increasing the water temperature or heating the coffee cups. - The house salad my wife ordered was somewhat plain. I attached a pic FWIW. - My 11-year-old girls ordered the kid's pasta (noodles with Alfredo and parmesan). Neither child cared for it. The noodles were overcooked--the pasta was mushy and mealy. Also, there was so much cheese that it mostly all stuck together. SERVICE Our server was personable and aimed to please but needed more instruction on the nuances of waiting tables. - Our server pre-heated my wife's teacup when she understood she likes her tea hotter than average. - Our server consulted with the chef and suggested a tasty rendition of the Wood Oven Asparagus for someone who doesn't eat pork products. - There were 5 people in our party but 6 settings. The extra setting remained for the duration of our meal. - My second course was dropped off before I had a chance to finish my first course. - I wasn't provided a second fork between the entrée and my dessert so I used my salmon-tasting fork to eat my strawberry shortcake.

    Old Juan pizza was outstanding. So many different flavors coming together to make an amazing pizza. Service was a little slow, but other than that, great place and will be back!

    Everything we ordered was fantastic. The menu was small but everything was so good and wished we had could have tried more. We will for sure be back. The restaurant is a little noisy but once we adjusted we just added to it. Highly recommend.

    I have never done this type of review but I’d hate for anyone to eat here with any good expectations. The experience was horrible. The server was the closest to a bright spot. I booked based on the menu on Open Table. The menu was similar to any Italian place. When we arrived I thought the establishment allowed smoking but learned it was the smell of burning bread. When we looked at their menu it had a small selection of pizzas and a couple dishes. I asked our server about what I saw on the app and she said that the online menu wasn’t correct at all. She later told me that her manager didn’t think I was looking at their menu or their page on open table so I showed her everything. We stayed because we were hungry. The tap beer was terrible, the amount of wine served was about two shots. We had a view of their oven. Everything that came out was burned. Our meatball appetizer was three meatballs with a huge piece of burned bread. Not toasty, burned black. The crust on each pizza was burned black as well. I let the server know of our experience but I fear it won’t be shared. Yes, I still tipped her well. I didn’t ask for compensation or to speak to the manager. He/she had to know what was going on and didn’t care. I’m not looking for any compensation now. We won’t be returning. I just want others to be aware.

    The chicken pot pie was too salty - I would have sent it back but service was so frighteningly slow that I didn't want my party to be done before I ate. WHY was servive so slow? Because as in-house customers waited, phone-in orders were busy being filled. DO NOT IGNORE THOSE SITTING DOWN AND HAVING ALREADY PLACED AN ORDER TO WAIT WHILE A CALL COMES IN AFTERWARDS.

    Burned pizza, the server tried to justified that the pizza was burned because it was baked in an oven but the crust on the bottom and on the top was charcoal black throughout the entire pizza and had bitter taste.

    Overall very solid food and excellent service. Appetizers were outstanding and bolognese dish out of this world. Burger was pretty average. Only disappointment was the dessert—“donut holes” that basically tasted like overcooked pizza dough balls covered in cinnamon sugar. Would recommend for dinner/drinks, but probably skip dessert.

    Love this place! The food is always so delicious. The oak burger is one of our favorites, crisp on the out side but so juicy and flavorful on the inside served with those awesome fries. Love the pizzas as well and many other items on their menu have never had an average meal here. I am glad to see that you can make reservations again. We will come more often now that reservations are accepted.

    Not sure what happened here but the quality has plummeted. Two burnt chicken sandwiches (so burnt they were black, the redo was the same and I ate it because I was so hungry) two gooey pizzas, cracked glass on a beverage and rock hard donuts. The waitress really tried hard to make things right, but the kitchen gave her nothing to work with. Won't go back, which is sad because I love the chicken sandwich when it isn't burnt. One burger was the only thing right in our table of four.

    Had a great experience overall, we made a reservation and they called us 15 minutes before our reservation time to make sure we were going to make it to our reservation. We got there and were seated fast. Put in our order but what was strange is ordered from the brunch menu and ordered an appetizer from the regular menu and they said we could not do that so we weren’t able to get one of our appetizers we wanted. We ordered the fried cauliflower, it was really good and great in flavor. I got my biscuit and gravy, that was flavorful as well, my eggs were a little over done but it wasn’t an issue. My husband got his fried chicken and waffles, the fried chicken had no flavor at all which we were surprised because everything else was great in flavor. His waffles were cold and he really liked the potatoes. Overall it wasn’t bad but wish the food was warmer and the chicken and waffles had better flavor. We would go back to try other items in the menu.

    Our reservation was at 8:30 (we were early, we arrived and checked in at 8:15) and we weren’t seated until 8:50 - another couple walked in at 8:34 and was seated before us. I believe the couple was friends with the host since they were calling each other by name. After we were sat, a server didn’t come to our table until 9:03. There were only 9 tables in the place and I believe I saw 4 servers. Very poorly ran restaurant. I don’t believe a manager was even notified that we were seated 20 minutes after our reservation. In fact, the man who I assumed was the manager spent most of his time chatting with the host at the host stand. Also, the old fashioned was incredibly watered down; I don’t recommend ordering it! The ONLY thing that made this experience relatively tolerable was the food. The wings were incredible. I definitely recommend ordering takeout from this place, but if you’re looking for an enjoyable dining experience, you should probably go elsewhere.

    Great food, but the service was slow and disorderly. We got drinks after our food, and a reminder to our server, who then explained they have no hot tea. So, we waited 30 minutes for beverages, only to find out there was none to be had! Who does brunch without hot tea?! They also did not have chicken for either their Nashville or chicken & waffle sandwich. A bit disappointing. Beignets were great, but again, we had to remind the server we had ordered them. Salmon hash was great, but did not need eggs. Overall, the food is good, but the service brings the overall experience down. I was reassured by my dining partner that this slow, distracted service was not the norm. We will definitely try again.

    We have eaten here about a dozen times and we’ve been consistently happy with the food and service. I had the steak and frites and it was probably one of my favs here. My 2 girls had the cheese pizza and they both liked their pizzas. I think they could add a touch more cheese on there, some pieces were lacking cheese, I get it’s not like American pizza. My husband had the short rib ragu and he really enjoyed his meal. The desserts were where I have to say we didn’t enjoy either. We had the cookie and it was missing carmel, it wouldn’t have mattered because no one liked it. We also had the tiramisu donuts, the donuts were on the dense side and the mascarpone cheese didn’t taste right. Our server was very nice and we’ll be back to eat here again. It’s almost a 40 min drive but we like this place!

    I frequent this place often, and how I felt after my very first visit is how I feel after every subsequent visit. The staff and the food are always, always on point. And it feels like being home.

    First time at Oak Wood Fired Kitchen and we had a great experience. We visited on the weekend for brunch and enjoyed a nice selection of entrees and craft cocktails. The service was also attentive and helpful.

    It's a fun place. My true feeling is that if I am paying $14 for a personal pizza that it should be piled with stuff and come with a salad. Perhaps I am cheap. The food was very good. We got the Oak Bread as an appetizer and for $7 I expected a lovely loaf of bread, not a fluffy tortilla with parmesan cheese on top. Once again, I must be cheap. One note, there is a fun atmosphere in here, but the music is too loud, especially when we are allowed to not wear masks at the tables, but then have to amplify our voices to a yell and push a lot of air across the table to be heard. Overall, this was a good experience.

    Great Food. Great Service. A little hard to talk to each other while dining because there is a musician playing. But he was very good and I appreciate his talent. It may be a little small to have someone singing with a guitar if you want to talk to each other too.

    Disappointed in a group of 12 that came in not wearing masks when it’s clearly stated on the door. The menu has changed quite a bit too. Sad old favorites weren’t able to be ordered.

    Went for Sunday Brunch. Kids had chicken and waffels, they approved! The chef also sent over the most sticky sweet amazing cinnamon roll the entire table enjoyed.

    We’ve been here multiple times for dinner but this time we decided to try the brunch. The food was incredible! The beignets are a must, my kids devoured two orders. The Brussels sprout dish was my favorite, but I wouldn’t order it as a main- it works much better as a side. The avocado toast with banana was unique but very tasty. My Mom ordered the biscuits and gravy and said they were meh, but she’s picky so take that with a grain of salt. It was super cold inside so consider a jacket when going. The service was pretty bad, but every other time we’ve been there it’s been great so I’ll give them a break that maybe it was just a tough day or they were understaffed. Lastly, I wish they had dairy alternatives for coffee, That was a big deal for my vegan husband.
