Oak Wood Fired Kitchen - Draper
Food tasted good and was well priced. Alcoholic drinks were relatively weak and ridiculously priced. $10 for a small Bloody Mary for Sunday brunch? To justify that price, the drink needs to be larger, stronger, and fancier (a slice of pickle through a toothpick without even a rim around the glass does not qualify).
When reserving my table it was asked if this was a special occasion and I input my wife’s birthday. Nothing was mentioned about her birthday when we arrived or during the meal so I am not sure what it was even an option for.
Cute place with beautiful decor! Our first order was the goat cheese with marinara sauce and the Oak bread. Good starter, but a little expensive at $13. My husband had the pizza with spicy sausage and he said it was outstanding. My daughter had the crispy chicken burger with tomato soup. The chicken was a bit dry, but the flavor of the sandwich was sooo good! The tomato soup needs some balance to the acid of the tomato . I had the handmade pappardelle bolognese . The flavor was good but it was cold in the middle because of the cold creme fraiche . I loved the chew of the noodles but many of them were stuck together which made it too thick. The bolognese sauce was very good, not too much meat and great seasonings.
Food had a beautiful presentation and it was really tasty ! Service was great and quick! I’d highly recommend it.
Food was good, can't complain. It is a lot of bread, and the menu doesn't always say it is part of the order, but it is good. Pizza crust is doughy, not thin and crispy which is my personal preference. Flavors are unique and I would go back to try more items on the menu. Maybe not the pizza but there were more items that intrigued me.
Great vibes and ambience.
Good attentive service. Unique and tasty food. Low key casual. Worth the drive.
We sat outside on the patio so the noise level inside was not a factor in our visit. Other times where we have been seated inside, we've commented that it is noisy and that perhaps they could hang some sound absorbing panels down from the celling. This would also help make it feel cozzier.
Food was great and the service was great . It was a little loud for me but great experience. I will definitely go back .
An absolutely fantastic meal. The fried cauliflower, which we were looking forward to, did not disappoint. Wonderful appetizer together with the snap peas. We also had wonderful entrees: carbonara, homemade papardelle, hit chicken sandwich and peri peri chicken. The whole meal was delicious. The service was a little light (I needed to request more water early) but then got better. We hung out for a while to chat as well and did not feel rushed. Highly recommended.
Best bread in town. Great value and service too, will go back
We love the food at Oak Wood Fire Kitchen and today was no exception. We only wish it were a little quieter for conversation.
Atmosphere was good but waitress seemed annoyed to be helping us. Disappointing as service is usually gpod
Fast service, restaurant aest
Service was great and food was incredible! Felt comfortable and taken care of.
Loved this place, amazing pizza crust!!!
Awesome pizza snd great local brews on tap.
I love this place! I craved their food the day after our visit
Awesome neighborhood find! The food was delicious, they have a fun unique drink menu and the service was great. A new favorite to visit often 💞
Would definitely recommend their burgers and soup. The best Hamburger I believe I have ever eaten. Pretty pricey at $14 but i t does come with a large bowl of very good soup or a weed salad ,if you like that type of salad vs. romaine or iceberg or butter lettuce, which we do not! But the best Hamburger hands down!
We loved our food.... Great service! We will be going back for sure!!
We have loved this place for a while, so glad to see them open for dine in again. Very clean and professional, tables spaced appropriately, staff in masks AND the Carbonara is back on the menu🙌🏻 Yay!
Loved the salmon! Awesome food!
Really good good. Entertainment was great.
Too loud, server not attentive, but food was good
We have never been before but had seen amazing food pictures and reviews on Instagram. They did not disappoint! We started with the baked goat cheese appetizer. It was amazing. My husband had the gnocchi and I had the steak salad. Presentation was beautiful but the food tasted so delicious! We are so happy we tried this place - we will definitely be back.
I felt like the waitress was way to short with us and didn’t do a very good job! The food was great!
Great food, crazy big portions, different menu from everywhere else! Fried califlower and sauce was to die for!
Amazing barely describes this place! The pizza is incredible!
Excellent food. The best gluten-free pizza I’ve ever had, seriously light fluffy and chewy. I would say 5 stars for the food and price point was maybe just a tad high. I knocked off a star because 1- we tried to order drinks and they said they couldn’t serve alcohol right now because their liquor license was awaiting renewal (someone dropped the ball there!) 2- it is a very loud and echoey space. Practically yelling to talk to each other. I felt like we were in a bar. 3- they were completely sold out of one of only three desserts.
This is our favorite place, even though we have to drive there from almost downtown SLC. I had the short rib gnocchi; I loved it. Anna had the steak salad and it was terrific. It has the feel of a neighbor restaurant and has a fabulous Chef, Brandon Price, who's always creating something fun and delicious.
All I got to say is the Fried Cauliflower a d Nashville Chicken sandwich!!! AMAZING!!!
Been here several times.this visit review: Good food, small portions, loud dining room and we felt quite rushed.
It has great potential- just needs more consistency. Draper needs good options- keep working out the kinks!
As always, my experience at OAK was fabulous. All the food is incredible, but the house-made pasta is unbelievable. We tried the burger for the first time. It. Was. Awesome. Thanks for your quality, creativity, and consistency.
Friendly staff, good vibe, looks like a neighborhood gem.
First, the food was delicious and delivered quite fast. Beverage choices were also nice. Prices for pizza/entrees were good but appetizers are too high, beverage prices are what you'd expect. The noise level was very high so I don't think it's a place for good conversation. Our female server was a little rude acting like it was bizarre to order an appetizer first and order pizza after. She made us feel rushed. I will more than likely dine again but not on a weekend and I wont rush back.
Terrific food and well priced. One of the few restaurants in the area with high quality and interesting dining options that never lets us down. Also has a good wine and cocktail list.
The "singer" was actually great, but it made it WAY to hard to hear or carry on any conversations. Maybe skip the amplifiers, and just go live?
We enjoy going to Oakwood. They were extremely busy and were training several new servers which slowed service. But this is a great restaurant for the neighborhood.
Update the menu. If you no longer serve something don’t leave it on the Menu. Honey does not belong on Pepperoni Pizza. Bring back the Big Chair.
