Oak Steakhouse - Raleigh
Not my first time here. They are consistently top notch! Connor was great!
Our first time going for dinner. Was very good. My husband and I enjoyed The Old Fashioned drink. We are watching our sugar, and asked for no simple syrup and it was no problem and so yummy!! The rolls are fabulous! Everything was great. The french frites are so good. And we got the Chocolate layer cake with passion fruit ice cream. Out of this world! Ask for Danny, he was our server and the BEST in my opinion. Very thorough, friendly and perfection. KUDOS Danny, you ROCK!!!! We enjoyed ourselves and will be back!!
Great food and service, expensive, but thoroughly enjoyable experience, splurge!
Great food, wine and service and very comfy chairs! We will be back!
No service, and management is very superficial. Don’t expect attention unless you’re wearing a sports coat or flashy clothes.
Good afternoon, Thank you for reaching out. We love feedback, without feedback like yours we cannot make corrective changes We will be reaching out to discuss your experience. Have a great day.
The food and atmosphere were outstanding!
The food was fantastic! We shared a large ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. They offer several steak sauces, but you really don't need them as the meat was perfect. We also tried the roasted beet salad and loved it. The broccolini and the mashed potatoes were great side pairings with the steak. We're definitely looking forward to going back sometime.
Food was good, food wasn’t worth the cost, but amazing atmosphere.
We celebrated my birthday at Oak Steakhouse on a Tuesday evening. This was also our first visit to the restaurant. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with great ambiance. The hostess was very welcoming and we were immediately seated at a nice table by the windows. The chairs were plush and comfortable. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and we never wanted for anything all night. We got the Parker House rolls and OMG were they delicious! I ordered one of the specials of the night - the dry aged bone-in ribeye. It was spectacular! I love steak and this one in particular was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. It was a perfect evening all around. The attention to detail - everyone wishing me a happy birthday to the timing of the meal to the attire of the waitstaff (they even wear the same shoes) was spot on. We will definitely return ASAP!
The Oak is our favorite steak house in Raleigh by far. We have eaten here on several occasions and everything has been consistent on every visit.
Brian took excellent care of our party. The food was fantastic. The wine was beautiful. Overall a terrific night and business dinner.
Excellent service and incredible food.
Appetizers came out immediately and were cold. We ordered a medium rare steak and it was well done. Sides were cold and steak was tough. All this for $125 per person.
I made a reservation here to celebrate my wife's birthday. We loved the quiet, romantic ambiance. We had a little table for two by the window and the comfy chairs immediately made us feel right at home. The server, whose name I do not recall, was wonderful. We shared the cobb salad, which was delicious, as an appetizer. We then ordered the dry aged ribeye -- it was a special they were featuring. For sides, we ordered the mac and cheese and roasted broccolini. The mac and cheese was especially good, but I wasn't a huge fan of the broccolini. The steak was cooked to perfection (midrare) and tasted amazing. We were too full for dessert but the options sounded delicious. Our overall experience at this restaurant was excellent. We don't get to enjoy establishments like this one often because they are not within our budget, but for a celebration it's the perfect spot for us. A special thank you to the attentive staff and our server for a night well done!
Top notch dining experience - fairly pricey but perfect for the special occasion
The food and service were excellent. One thing to watch for, and the server was very clear, the meats come out redder. I did send mine back for a little warm up and should have ordered med-well.
Absolutely my favorite place to go for date night, perfect food,
What a great downtown restaurant! We loved the ambiance and it was a great place to spend our anniversary. Food was a excellent, though a bit on the salty side. Everything we ordered was delicious. Service was absolutely outstanding! Our waiter couldn't have been better.
Mary took great care of us and the food was outstanding.
We loved the food, service, ambience, and the piped in music, outstanding rock, rhythm, and jazz. All in a part of the city that is on the rise.
Food preparation is hit or miss. The steak, which was a good cut of meat, was carelessly oversalted. Steak tartare was prepared with an overpowering kind of mayo. On the other hand, sides of mushrooms and fries were perfectly done. For these prices, the kitchen should be more spot on and meticulous.
This was our second time at Oak steakhouse. The Parker rolls are amazing as well as the hanger steak! Both times we have excellent service! I wish I could remember our waiters name. He was efficient and anticipated all our needs before we even asked. We will definitely visit again.
The experience and the food was certainly one of our most enjoyable dining experiences ever.
Oak served one of the best meals I’ve had in Raleigh! The price tag was high, but worth every penny. The rolls were amazing and steak almost melted in your mouth. The attention to detail, even down to servers shoes matching, was impressive.
We were celebrating my husband's and our adult daughter's birthday on Sunday evening. We had an amazing dining experience. The food was so delicious. Our server was great and the whole ambiance was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Service was outstanding. Sam was a great server. Good wine selection and passion fruit sorbet is worth trying.
Great dining experience in downtown Raleigh. The valet parking is a huge bonus if you aren’t near enough to walk over. Also, I’m not usually a bread proponent, but their fresh Parkerhouse rolls are a must.
Worth every penny. So far the best steak house in Raleigh. Can’t wait to go back.
Loved this Resturant!! Food, service and ambiance were all amazing!! Can’t wait to go back to try more of the menu!!
Everything was amazing - the food, the service, and the atmosphere. The bread service was absolutely worth it and hands down the best bread I’ve maybe ever had. Our waiter was very helpful with suggestions of what to get and overall was very friendly also
This is my new favorite steak house in Raleigh. It's very nice without being too stuffy. The food is fantastic and the staff has a great understanding of the menu and food prep. Highly recommended.
Beautiful restaurant, great service and the food was incredible. Highly recommend getting their deviled eggs, porterhouse rolls, and coq au vin. Will be back for sure!
It was awesome.
We had a great experience at Oak Steakhouse! The food was fabulous and our server, John, suggested some delicious things we may not have tried otherwise. We loved the atmosphere and enjoyed sitting at the bar for drinks. Our bartender Lucy was amazing! We will return again!
It’s a lovely restaurant, attentive staff but fairly expensive steaks for not a sizable meal.
3rd time this summer, and excellent once again! Perfectly cooked filet each time!
My birthday dinner. Table of 6. Was so excited for this place. Service excellent. Ambiance fantastic. Appetizers delicious. Bar exceptional. Drinks amazing. And now the ugly. They need schooled in over salting. and how to prepare a steak. Our steaks were cold and not prepared to order. The french fries were so incredibly salty really horrible. I wasn’t sending back or complaining because It was my birthday. And we were in a group. Will I be back? Not for awhile. Please make this work because Raleigh needs great restaurants. Not mediocre ones.
This is the second time eating at The Oak. The first was a few weeks after they opened and was honestly one of the best steaks, best meals, best evenings ever. Unfortunately, the second go-around was not the same. Everything - including the apps and sides - were way over seasoned. Much too salty. The restaurant was much more crowded, too, which significantly increased the noise.
The service was great, as usual, but unfortunately could not make up for the unsatisfactory food.
Staff for the most part was good until they tried,to take a friends plate 3 times from her. Was quite irritating. They offset it by bringing 3 oysters.
Mouth watering steaks. The deviled eggs are a great started. Not a $$ restaurant like they advertise but hard to complain when the servers were attentive and everything they brought out was delicious.
