Oak Steakhouse - Nashville
There was one drunk table of six “old enough to know better” adults, and they were carrying on, whistling aloud, shouting, etc. it was so distracting and annoying. Very disrespectful to other diners. We made the best of our lovely family dinner.
My wife & I went to Oak Steakhouse for Valentines Day this year, and this is the best steakhouse I’ve been to in Nashville. Our server was wonderful, she explained the menu well and recommended an excellent appetizer for us. The food was delicious, and cooked to our exact expectations. The atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable as well. I will definitely recommend Oak for future friends and family, or anyone looking for a great steak in a great spot. My wife & I will definitely be back!
The food is great and staff is very friendly.
Outstanding Brussels sprouts.
We had a wonderful Valentines Day dinner!
Awesome atmosphere and food. Server was great! Could not have asked for a better date night! Will definitely be coming back!
Amazing food and excellent service. Great wine selection.
Just the best steak in Nashville!
Great dining experience!
Oh my goodness, the food is to die for. My husband got the Tomahawk steak, which he described as melt in your mouth. I had the Ricotta Ravioli, very good and more than enough, for a small plate. You must try the Brussel Sprouts, so good. I would also recommend the fries. Everyone was super friendly and professional. We had a wonderful experience.....you should definitely try it.
Food was exceptional, as always. Tight seating makes it tough to have a private conversation but overall it was amazing
Great upscale business dinner! Service and food was excellent! Would highly recommend!
Great service with Michael as out waiter, one of 8 steaks was over cooked and The manager credited us and bought a dessert for the table. The other 7 meals, appetizers and salads along with desserts were fantastic. Highly recommend and will visit again when back in nashville.
We got lucky and had a great server. She had two back up helpers. The food was great -- despite getting behind a larger group ordering ahead of us. The wine list was very expensive.
Great steakhouse close to downtown. Great wine list. Food was excellent
Was seated on time. Everything was very tasty! Service was excellent.
Service a little slow. Food excellent, great drink selection. Food delicious
My husband and I came here for the first time on our weekly date night. I’m a foodie, but be prefers home cooked meals so most of the time dining out isn’t anything overwhelming for him. Even he was blown away with Oak! The octopus was to die for. The crab cakes and filet with mushrooms...also delicious. The best part about all of it was the service. Our server was attentive without being annoying, and accommodated all of our requests. It was also very easy to have conversation as the noise was mild. It was a 5 star dining experience without all the stuffy fluff and overall it was perfect. I’ve been to just about every steakhouse in Nashville and this was definitely my best experience. I cannot wait to come back!
Service, food and drinks were great. Waitress was knowledgeable. Great atmosphere to celebrate our occasion. The mixologist at the bar made exceptional drinks that were creative. Food delicious and all sides complimented the dishes well. Would definitely dine again. Not a cheap night but well worth the splurge
Oyster we really tasty, had the west coast variety. Also had the signature bacon appetizer. The waiter recommended a special a 30oz tomahawk ribeye with a king crab on top. The crab was really flavorful but the steak was on the lukewarm side. Was expecting a sizzling plate of a nice juicy steak. Very disappointing. Dessert was really good we had the key lime tart and the dark chocolate ganache.
Best steak I've had so far in the Nashville area, I will say we tried Kayne Prime and was the most disappointing experience I've had, The Oak is top notch and would highly recommend it to anyone !!!
Outstanding! Oak is fabulous!
From front desk, to every single staff member. My partner and I loved it. Food and service was outstanding. One of the very best in Nashville!!
Highly recommend Oak to everyone!
Everything was just ok. Definitely not the best steak I’ve ever had and our service was mediocre. Not the worst...just ok.
A party of 6 of us went to Oak Steakhouse while visiting Nashville for a nice dinner! Overall the restaurant itself & food were awesome, however, we did have a few problems on our visit. Our waitress was super sweet, but she did mess up on 3 of our drinks & 1 of our salads & added things onto our check we did not even order. We told her about the drinks & she corrected, but the salad we decided to not mess with exchanging. During our salads, she brought out a broccoli salad that was “a gift from the kitchen”. We were appreciative & ate the appetizer. The next day when reviewing our receipt, we noticed that the “gift” was added on our check for $12. We are not worried about getting our $12 back but to tell someone they are getting an appetizer as a gift then find it on your check is NOT right! We did not order an appetizer at all so why was this out on us? I have no idea but definitely was not impressed with the service or appreciative of that.
Service was unacceptably slow - especially for a higher end spot. Because the service was woefully inadequate, they attempted to ameliorate the situation by giving us a free order of fries, which they then inadvertently added to our bill. 🤦🏻♂️Such a mistake might ordinarily spark a bit of shared humor, but not this time. The dismal service destroyed any notions of a smile, chuckle, or laugh.
One steak was under cooked, and the other slightly over. Good over all, but that was slightly disappointing. But the brussel spouts were great. Drinks were delicious
This place is fantastic! I can't recommend it enough. My steak was done exactly as I like it. They even gave me an extra side of the brussel sprouts for free. By the way, if you go, you have to have the brussel sprouts. Best I've ever had.
Great steaks cooked perfectly. We really enjoyed the brussels sprouts, who would’ve thought. Good restaurant in a convenient location, especially if you are the the Westin.
One of the best steaks I have ever had. Service is impeccable.
Well, to start I ordered the shrimp cocktail. I was told they were out but then the said they did have it. What I was brought looked like day old shriveled shrimp. Definitely not worth the price. I ordered a rib eye steak and French mashed potatoes. The steak came and I asked for pepper. The waiter brought me the salt and pepper. The restaurant is very dark so I kept using the pepper mill but it looked as if nothing was coming out. I tried the other milk and the same thing happened. I figured they were empty. At this point, my waiter was checked out and I had to ask a bus boy for another pepper mill. It worked!! I took a bite and almost spit it out. I guess the first two pepper mills were actually salt. Ugh! But it was so dark at the booth under the stairs in the bar area that I didn’t realize I had put so much darn salt on it because they kept giving me
Salt mills instead of pepper. Still no Waite and I was starving so I wiped it all off. The steak was not cooked to medium rare but more on the very rare side and very sinewy. I left half the steak. The highlight was the potatoes. Hands down the best potatoes I have had in a long time. I was so hungry after a long day I eat the whole bowl of them especially when the shrimp and steak missed the mark. Still no waiter until he brought the 130 bill lol. Won’t eat here again but I regret that because the darn potatoes!! I would have complained when I left but no one even said goodbye to me. I was staying next door at the Westin and told the concierge not to recommend that restaurant. He said he’s heard mixed reviews. If you’re going to charge those prices you need to be on the mark!!
Great food and great service.. Jesse was awesome with her food recommendations. Perfect date night!
Our waitperson was exceptional. She made the evening a wonderful dining experience.
outstanding 12oz filet, great recommendations from our server Sarah
Honestly, we were underwhelmed. Same ol’ oysters, same ol’ mac and cheese, same ol’ fried Brussels sprouts that are on every menu in Nashville. Truffle fries...more like room service fries. The Old Fashioned cocktails we had...I’ve had better. Everything was fine. But only fine. Gotta step it up Oak! Nashville is way too competitive these days to just get by with ok.
The waiter was completely inattentive and only caring about tables to what I saw was the “high paying” tables. I will never recommend this restaurant.
Service and setting were excellent. Food was very good but seemed a little pricey for Nashville.
Steaks were surprisingly dry. Oysters pretty small. However Fantastic service. Beautiful venue. Creative drinks.
The staff was incredible and friendly and set the tone for a great meal. Appetizers, dinner, and drinks were all exceptional!!!
This was my second time to Oak. I travel for business and found it on my last trip. I made sure I went this trip and I was not disappointed. The food, wine, service and ambiance were excellent. Next time i'm in town, i will be sure to go back again.
Jesse was awesome
We have been 3 times now and everything has been great. Staff is so nice and service is great. The food has been slightly inconsistent with differences like more salty one night over another, steak not done as well as another. Overall it’s a great place and we will go back.
