Fabulous! Server Barbie was fabulous, very pleasant and on top of everything. Shared the Tomahawk Ribeye with my wife, it was fabulous! Perfect done-ness, perfect searing, perfect seasoning, perfect pairing with King Crab, it was all fabulous. Oysters Rockefeller as a starter were fabulous. Drinks left no disappointment, they were fabulous. Manager Otto took great care in making sure our experience was just right, he was fabulous. Fabulous dinner experience. Did I say fabulous?!?! Check your calendar and go!
Great food and service!!!
Need to beef up service level...back of the house had people standing around, while the front of the house was running around ragged.
Food was pure trash especially dessert
My son flew in from NYC - he said it was the best NY strip of his life. Derrick was an incredible server.
Awesome atmosphere and meal!
Great food and service. Best steak I've had in charlotte so far
The waiter we had was great.
Excellent experience. Great food and service.
Absolutely the best steak in Charlotte and the service was impeccable! After dinner you must try The Golden Ticket.
Oatis (GM) offers hospitality par excellence.
Cujo (waiter) was fantastic too!
Chef Bobby always brings his A game
Go 2 Oak Steak!
This is our 3rd time to Oak Steakhouse. Overall the food and experience was very good. The worst part of the evening was that the sweet tea was not even remotely sweet. If that is the worst thing I can say, that is pretty good.
My wife loved her Caesar Salad and also thought that the Vegetable Risotto was amazing. I had a Ribeye which was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. The Lobster Macaroni and Cheese was also very tasty.
Nothing on the dessert menu seemed appealing so we skipped dessert. But the evening was very nice and we will be back.
Food and service was both very good. Definitely worth a trip. The value is better in other restaurants, but part of the cost is the ambiance.
I really enjoyed my experience, however, there was a service dog in the restaurant and I am allergic to dogs. Everything else was great.
Honestly not at all worth the price. The Mac&chz tasted sour, the streak was not amazing. I didn’t leave feeling like I had a great experience!!
Meghan, our server, is fantastic! She is both knowledgeable and personable. Short ribs were excellent. Whipped potatoes were a little bland.
Service was outstanding!
Let me start by saying the service was 5 Star! The management was spectacular. The Appetizers were excellent...The steak was good.... The side dishes? Think about Birds-eye frozen sides heated up with cheezwhiz (lobster Mac and Brocolini). The manager was on point and we appreciated his concern and honesty about the sides. Hopefully they will get it together soon.
In a word.....excellent !
The food preparation was very well done. Wine selection could use more Bordeaux however.
Love Oak. My go to spot for business dinners. Great ambiance but quiet enough to have a conversation and sales meeting.
Service was poor. Food cooked improperly, no attempt at guest recovery. Server was inexperienced and food all underdone. Would not return. Pricey and not worth it!

This was our first time dining at the restaurant and we were very disappointed. The food quality was fine but wait staff was less than friendly and there was not much character to the restaurant. Overpriced for the dining experience.
Great all around experience as usual.
Not an inexpensive dinner for two, so expectations were a bit high.
The entry/bar area was quite loud for our 7pm reservation (music), thankfully in the dinning area the music was far more muted, and one could easily carry on a conversation.
Service was friendly, and informed.
Entrees took a long time to arrive at the table, we were an appetizer, 2 drinks, and about 1hr40minutes into our reservation before entrees showed up.
My wife opted for the filet, I went for the prime ribeye. Both had good char, and good flavor, but just that, good...a solid performer, but not remarkable. Presentation on the entree plate was nothing, white plate, with a charred steak, done.
The scallop appetizer was flavorful, and the sear spot on, exceptional.
The brussel sprout side was awesome.
The fingerling potatoes were solid.
The Sage cocktail was also well made, stellar.
Dinner ended a bit late for us to indulge in dessert.
We would go back to Oak Steakhouse, but it would not be at the top of our list.
Ultimately, a bit expensive for the quality, and a bit slow in delivery.
Recommendation would be "it's ok"...
Staff seemed very unorganized and didn’t honor reservations.

We’ve eaten there before and enjoyed the experience. However this time it was disappointing. My husband ordered the rib eye and I ordered the steak frites. The rib eye was slapped on the plate with a quarter of a grilled tomato. That had seen better days. The fries were loaded on the plate and fell off as soon as I touched it. For the cost we thought the presentation could have been better. The coffee wasn’t fresh and the chocolate cake and red velvet cake were soggy, like they had been frozen, defrosted, frozen and defrosted again. At least we weren’t charged for the cake.
I don’t know if we will try again, maybe they were having a bad night.
Expect the expectable - your typical steakhouse offerings with a costly but superb cut of beef with all items to accompany the main course upcharged. Nevertheless the expectation of consistently excellent simple fare and superb service does not disappoint!
Very pleasant evening. Food and service were spot on. I thought it was a bit pricey, but had a great time and would recommend this place to my friends.
We enjoyed our experience and the food. The service was great and fast.
My daughter and I walked in with above average expectations and awaited a great experience. While she and I were faced with what appeared to be a disservice from someone on the management team, it was later corrected and flushed out with the amazing service we received from our server Megan. Upon leaving, management addressed the issue and apologized again for his misstep. His apology helped a lot because this review would have been written as a bad review just from that experience alone.
The octopus was to die for! And I normally don’t even like octopus.
Felt like a rushed meal (were told to order everything all at once) but the staff didn't pace our meal and the ambiance wasn't quite what we were expecting for a Valentine's Day Dinner.
Great food and great service!
Very nice and pleasant environment. Definitely recommend this place for a dinner date/Special event!
Nice place, very good service. Food was pretty slow but quality was good. My filet was good but not great. My wife’s was undercooked (honestly mine was also). Sides were very good. A little noisy but not too bad.
Great experience. Had the wagu beef. Was good but not worth the price difference over traditional filet which is absolutely delicious. Service was amazing and food delicious. Best filet in town!
First time here, we just moved into a house within walking distance. We will be back! The food was outstanding (wife had Wagyu Filet Mignon, I had crabcakes, we shared a beet salad which was quite large). Service was A+. We went for Valentines and I was expecting a little more of a "date night" atmosphere; the music was "pumping" as the kids say and there was a pretty loud table near us. It wasn't a bad atmosphere, just not what I was expecting. Beautiful place, and an upbeat, fun vibe. It's not a stuffy place, for sure. Do make reservations well ahead, every table was packed (spaced for social distancing of course). The menu is a little limited if you are not a red meat person (which I am not, my wife is, so that's why I chose the place). Just a seafood or two and a "vegetable plate" were my choices. I don't recall anything chicken, but don't hold me to that. The crabcakes were very good, but I would have preferred a salmon filet or scallops, which seem to always be on the menu most places.
