I have a food blog so I critique the actual cuisine more than most but this was an all around great experience! I would absolutely recommend this to a friend! I went in for my anniversary and was treated like a VIP. We had what seemed like the best table in the entire house up on the third floor looking over Broad and State street. It was very quiet and the ambiance was perfect for a date. Our server was attentive and very helpful and helped make the night much more of a celebration than we ever intended. We LOVED our experience. I would go as far to say as this is the perfect amount of service. Not in your face like Halls can be sometime, but easily enough to be considered above and beyond! We will be returning soon, but with friends and family! Will be leaving a similar review on my food blog but it'll be more focused on the food. Thanks again!

This is actually the second time I have eaten at Oak and it was again, fantastic.
I booked a reservation at Oak as a farewell dinner for my fiancé. He was deploying and I wanted to give him a fantastic dinner, the night before he left, which Oak did flawlessly. I booked through open table and in the notes section I mentioned his departure etc.. The entire team was just phenomenal. They went above and beyond for us and truly made our last dinner together for almost a year absolutely incredible. I have only eaten at one other steak restaurant in downtown Charleston but Oak has my vote for sure. They are just magnificent all around.

Had the best filet I’ve ever eaten in my 36.5 years on this planet. Great, friendly service and a wonderful upscale steakhouse atmosphere without any sense of snobbery.

The food was overall salty. The scallops were of good quality but were too salty. The roasted mushrooms had a good flavor but were also too salty. The lobster mac had a good flavor, but we didn't really taste the lobster in it, only the pasta and cheese. We were wanting a glass of Moscato di' Asti, but the bottle had been sitting for a while and it was flat. I wanted taste of it before I ordered a glass. I was offered other kinds of wine by the server who mentioned he was also a Sommelier, but we would have been more pleased if a new bottle was open. We would think that a Sommelier would realize that a new Moscato should've been offered in place of the flat one that I didn't care for. We couldn't get a second glass of Dalmore Scotch, so we continued to another location for more Dalmore Scotch and desserts.
