Sauteed Spinach and Mushrooms
We have visited Oak Steakhouse numerous times and the food and service has always been superb. Unfortunately, our latest visit was a little 'off'. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were good, however, the dessert was disappointing. Also, we were celebrating a birthday, and other than the hostess mentioning it when we arrived, no other staff acknowledged it the rest of the evening.
Awesome service and excellent food!
The food quality was well below what I am used to!
I don’t know what has changed , but it is not the same.
We had a very good meal with excellent service from Evan. We'll be back!!!
Overall experience was great and would go back for sure. The entrees (sea bass and ribeye) and dessert were delicious and our waitress was awesome- she was super attentive. The only minor callout were the oysters-super small so wish I would have done the octopus.
Great from start to finish we have never been disappointed at Oak
They know how to take care of guests
We had such a great experience at Oak Steakhouse .... it was surprise dinner for my husband's 40th birthday and I am so happy we choose to dine here. We had a wide variety of dishes for of party of 8 from appetizers and salads to steak, pork and fish ... many of their shareable sides and signature cocktails - everything was fantastic. Everyone said their steaks were cooked perfectly - and I had the Market Catch which was sea bass - divine! The service was so wonderful as well. We will most definitely return and will highly recommend to everyone!
Service was incredible. The staff is very knowledgeable when explaining the menu. Very impressed!!
Such a special experience for my Husband's and I first wedding anniversary.
Service was very good. Giving the current situation they had everyone spaced out. My steak was great and so were the oysters.
This was our 44th anniversary and I specifically asked for a booth. Instead, we were seated in the middle of server traffic path to the “intimate” wine room.
This is the first “steakhouse” I’ve ever visited (and I can list ten that I have) that doesn’t even have a porterhouse on the menu. And it’s the only option my wife and I enjoy sharing (filet for her; NY strip for me).
If you’re paying $16 for a glass of wine, you ought to be able to pair it with something between a $60 strip steak and an $18 burger with raunchy tasting pickles.
A real disappointment for our special day.
Excellent experience! Server was one of the best we have ever had. Kind, knowledgeable and very attentive. Made for a great Anniversary dinner!
The food is always great but the hospitality is awesome.
Everything was great! We celebrated our third year anniversary and did arrive about 30 minutes before closing time, we asked was it okay if we could still eat. They sat us and never rushed us to leave. Our server Stephanie was great we were ready to order right away so we could hurry out their way but Stephanie coursed everything and told us to take our time. We ordered a filet and boneless ribeye with Mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower and mushrooms. At the end of the night they surprised us with an anniversary dessert. Everything was great. Will definitely be back.
Great customer service. Temperatures were taken were taken for everyone’s safety. Good was amazing. Especially the steak.
Fantastic. So good to have some ‘normal’ these days. Jeff Gates and his staff were excellent.
Great place!! Not usually a steak person but decided to have one that evening and loved it! Didn't even need a steak knife. A spoon would've sufficed it was so tender.
Very tough night for the Oak. Food was slow to be served and we returned 2 steaks. Not good for a place of this level. Last two times here was disappointing.
We enjoyed being served by Evan, he’s conscientious and detail oriented. The food was wonderful as expected, and we really had a lovely time.
25th Wedding Anniversary
Wonderful meal! Bobby was a great server. Not too pushy, but very informative. It was a great meal. Can't wait to go back!
First, the food and the service are spectacular. We have been a few times and it has always been good. In the current pandemic, we now choose to eat outdoors. This is where their problem is - the bugs. It is like a swarm. Coronavirus is not going away anytime soon and they need to figure this out. At least put up some ceiling fans to keep the gnats away or spray.
Fantastic place and they go above and beyond to make sure you feel safe.
Very disappointing. The food was leas than mediocre, let alone for the cost. The lobster and shrimp cocktail is literally 1 small lobster claw and a pile of small shrimp on top of cocktail sauce. I had even asked prior to ordering if they were the colossal/jumbo shrimp and the waitress said yes. The steak was very underwhelming- not nearly the quality you expect from a luxury hotel steakhouse. We got a cesar salad that was quite possibly the worst we ever had- in some unnecessary attempt to get creative with a classic cesar, they serve it with a vinaigrette and red peppers?
Great service! Celebrated our anniversary with complementary dessert and champagne!
Tiffany was an amazing server. We had missed our Anniversary because of the stress of Covid. During our dinner we felt so special that we declared it our Anniversary Dinner. My cocktail was perfect. I took a chance on an entree that I don’t usually order and was not disappointed. I never felt anxious about the precautions for Covid which I thought would have spoiled the romantic evening. What pleasant surprise. Just the little lift that we needed to escape the doldrums of isolation.
The food and service were excellent! We had a great experience!
Bobby our server was great - very attentive, but not over barring - wife requested lamb chops that were not on menu - but the Chief ordered them and they were excellent
Great food and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Always consistent with offering a delicious meal and relaxed setting.
Our server was Sam. He was great! He took the time to go over the menu, although it was not our first time at the Oak. He also made sure our glasses never made it to empty. He also recommended so great cocktails. As always food was great.
Expensive plates that come up a bit unimpressive. They have good cocktails, but overall the value isn’t quite there.
This meal was with my sale people. We all enjoyed the food and the service was excellent.
We look forward to our next meal at the Oak.
Great date night at the oak! John was our server and he went over and beyond to make it a memorable dinner. The food was super fresh as always. I highly recommend oak for a special occasion or A date night!
Father’s Day Dinner with Family. Great Experience and Thank You! We will definitely return again.
Love eating at the Oak Steakhouse @ the Avalon. Valet Parking. Reservations are honored and quick. Bartender is friendly. Staff is helpful. Our usual is to split a salad and entree and that is made very easy. Thanks.
As a former Michelin Chef and owner of two restaurants, I was very happy with the reservations being able to change them since I underestimated the drive from the airport, but a new friend from Russia was excited about your place and it was the first place I dined at since COV-19 began. so I was excited, the young guy Bill the valet was very sociable and just great. I drive an expensive car and was happy with the way he handled himself and my vehicle and I tipped him well. 20.00 I think. The server was great!! Young African-American guy, baldhead, very knowledgable and so am I when it comes to food and service. We had the red snapper, I had iced tea since I don't drink and my lady friend had two glasses of some sort of champagne, crabcakes and two expressos. It was too loud and not very romantic, I inquired about who the chef was and who the sous chef was, I was a sous chef for many years get the guy a nice Chef coat, instead of a short-sleeve shirt because your kitchen is exposed so you need to look good and the price points are high, with the number of places going out of business and I do understand the area but for 156.00 I could have stopped in Buckhead and done better it was not romantic at all too loud, it was quiet when we sat but it got loud and we left. I would not be interested in driving that far again. Plate presentation was ok but needs to be a lot better, I read it was pricey from, other customer's comments and it is. You guys are right on the line as being overpriced. So with the tips for the waiter and the valet and the dinner it was 220.00 not excited about spending that kind of money unless its 5 star.Thank-you
Oak Steakhouse in Avalon is my new fav! The restaurant itself is GORGEOUS! They have both outside and inside seating which is nice. The bar is fully stocked. John the bartender is absolutely awesome. He made the best mojitos and Old Fashioned ever! Seriously knowledgeable.
My guy and I split the 16oz Prime Boneless Ribeye and we ordered it well done. Let me just say, seasoned perfectly and still juicy!! This was probably the best steak I’ve ever had. For sides we ordered the cornbread, potatoes and three cheese Mac. PERFECTION! Especially the potatoes, get them loaded. I left stuffed and happy. I recommend!
Always exceptional. Great team leading, serving and preparing.
As always, one of our favorite dinners!
