Overall is was very nice. Would recommend!
Quite noisey because of the type of room. In one way
the ambience was nice, but not for a special dinning.
Brunch with a good friend was a great first visit to this spot. Tables are very close together but once we settled in it was fine. I really enjoyed the eggs Benedict with country ham. My friend enjoyed the big Bloody Mary!!
Came to celebrate a 40th birthday. Food was excellent. Unfortunately it was overshadowed by inappropriately pushy and aggressive service. If a restaurant offers a 9pm booking and then takes 20 minutes before the guests are seated and the server appears so that the diners can ask a few questions, it is totally inappropriate to start berating the customer to order quickly with threats that the kitchen will close. Also a poor show to provide the diner with dirty plates upon seating. When we had finished the meal and the plates were being cleared and we were asked if we wanted desert, our simple request to see the desert menu was greeted with a barked threat that the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes and there was no time to bring the menu. Overall the horrible service cast a pall on what should have been a pleasant evening to celebrate an important life milestone. That we were seated next to a large and unruly group of people who kept knocking over things on our own table did not help.
Annual Birthday celebration for our mother in Heaven
In general a nice brunch with excellent service at the bar, but there were a couple of issues: serving a cold almost fresh blueberry muffin as part of any meal not good, and the coffee tasted like the coffee machine needs to be cleaned... poor quality. The rest was very good but unfortunately we remember what was lacking because it's a $100 brunch for two.
Terrible menu choices. Or lack there if I should say.
Gorgeous spot, you could stay all day .
Thanksgiving. Popped in for a coffee earlier on TG day, mainly to confirm booking, bar staff stuffy at best. Almost an inconvenience to order 3 coffees and a tea. Evening- Initially our table was away from the main room, placed by the lobby next to the lift shaft!! massively disappointed as we had booked weeks in advance as well as confirming booking. Our concern/complaints were resolved pretty quickly, hence the service mark being excellent, waiting staff could not have done any better.
Chosen wine superb. Food - rib eye x2 and TG Turkey x2, ok at best. Mash potatoes served just about warm, Rib eye, tbh I’ve had better. Overall, $500 for a below average meal and a ok experience.
Loved dining here with my family for Thanksgiving! The service was wonderful and we all enjoyed our meals. Festive and stress-free!
Lovely experience but a bit loud as far as the music is concerned.
Holiday dinner presented at a very busy time in a very professional manner. Our server, Vania, did an outstanding job making us feel comfortable and relaxed. Our meal was delivered in a timely fashion and was, in a word, delicious. The menu offered traditional fare, as well as items to satisfy any appetite. Prices up but to be expected for the holiday. Good job overall!
Thanksgiving dinner. Excellent service & drinks. The food was good, as well.
Took relatives there for their first meal in Boston! The food there was so good!
Family gathering . They were wonderful to us and let my family enjoy a long brunch with great food
I’ve been to Oak Long Bar a few times but not recently. My husband got a 29$ Manhattan that was a very small cocktail and made with a top shelf whiskey that you could barley taste, very watered down. My glass of wine was warm, it had clearly been poured in a glass that had just come out of the dishwasher.
Server was fine, not offensive but not good either.
Food was good but overall poor experience
The menu can be more exciting. It does not rise to the level of the venue.
I’m gluten free and the GF pancakes were to die for!!! Incredible. The service, ambiance, drinks, and food were all amazing.
Unfortunately our waitress was very rude which ruined our experience. While serving the table next to us, she banged into my arm several times. She then ignored one person at the table and would leave before taking his order several times. We came to the table with drinks from the bar because we were waiting for a table and she asked us why we already had drinks and was visually upset that we did not order drinks from her.
We had the pleasure of having Alfius as our waiter and we could not have been happier. He was quick, courteous, and a pleasure to talk to. Our food was phenomenal (as usual) and the atmosphere is great for a quiet meal and some good people watching! We will absolutely be coming back and asking hopefully we get Alfius again!!
We ordered the clam chowder, lobster roll, and Benedict with avocado. Everything was very delicious. We also drank the espresso martini and Bloody Mary. Highly recommend all of those items. Ask for the Bloody Mary extra spicy if you want a more classic one.
While the food was delicious, the service left a lot to be desired. The host was not welcoming or warm and while our server sort of warmed up throughout our meal, I wouldn’t say the service was on par with what I would have hoped for given the caliber of restaurant and the location (inside the Fairmont Copley).
I had a first date here. Ambience was nice, food was great, and we had a great time. Was moderately noisy, not enough to significantly impact things, just loud enough so you couldn’t play something from your phone and hear it without putting it next to your head. Still 9.8/10 though.
Such a welcoming environment- always so lovely at the Oak Room. The presentation and portions were delightful.
Service not good, food okay, facility is very tired and needs refreshing,
We had a very nice seat right next to the fireplace, and the service was great!
Great service - fun vibe.
Oak Long Bar was a great place to have a business dinner, beautiful room and great food. Highly suggest.
I always live this place for a fun meet up for drinks and apps. There’s just not enough variety on the menu these days and the halibut was vey posing but the sides were great.
Love the entire experience!
We waited almost an hour to get the food which was not worth the money.
Visiting my son at college we wanted to take him somewhere with good food. Disappointed in the staff. It took us 20 minutes to just get a drink at our table. We waited almost one hour for our food and they still forgot one of our dishes. Don’t plan on going back.
They seem understaffed these days. No issues with service, but very slow.
My sister and I had a wonderful time at Oak Long - From the butler greeting us as the door, to the attentive and doting server, Raul. We didn’t wait more than a few reasonable minutes for anything (beverages, questions, etc.). I suggest you order a lemon drop 😉
The food was good - we got a couple apps & really enjoyed the decor, music and ambiance. You can come here to celebrate, get work done or just spend some quality time with yourself. As you can imagine, parking is challenging however it won’t take more than 2-3 minutes to get an Uber.
I would come back and recommend you try it.
I was disappointed about this restaurant. All the hype most be because it is inside the Fairmont Hotel. The clam chowder was very spicy and they didn’t warn you and the salad had huge pieces of lettuce which I always find unpleasant because you can’t eat those big pieces. I was expecting a better presentation of their salad being so expensive.
The Oak Room lost my husband's credit card.
We had a lovely time for my fiancé’s birthday!
Had cocktails and an early dinner at OAK Long Bar. Beautiful place, lots of action as there was a wedding just outside the door, hotel guests but still not over crowded. We had the beet salad (really delicious), burger (also delicious, done perfectly) and a squash pizza (delicous crust). We also shared the blueberry pizza for dessert, unique and delicious. Wish there was a little more to choose from on the menu but quite good. Cocktails (bourbon manhattans) were mixed served as requested. Service was friendly and we were seated promptly. Table was at face level to a big standing bar that blocked our view of everything but other side was fine. We will return. We took advantage of the valet parking service, they were quick.
Always perfect! Great food and Cloud Candy IPAs…😎
Get the Lobster Roll. The Old Bay French fries are delicious!
