Wonderful atmosphere, knowledgable friendly and helpful staff. Good service. Great food.
Messed up gluten free meal and also wouldn’t accept open rewards dining dollar gift card. Very disappointing
server smelled like cigarettes, was complaining that we asked for separate checks.
Nice upscale casual drinks and dining in a classic hotel.
Hostess and server were exceptional.
A fantastic evening of food and drinks and the service so attentive and friendly. A Boston gem.
Such a great service (Javier was the best) and the food was great. We will be back. We also felt very comfortable and safe there!
Greasy underdone expensive burger and terrible service
This is a great spot for a holiday dinner with family or friends
We had a great time all around at the Long Bar. The service, food and drinks were all excellent; and the menu has a lot of other good options that we will be eager to try on our next visit. Very congenial atmosphere and ambiance.
This has been our go-to place for years but it is not what it was pre-Covid. While the decor still has an elegance, the menu is now very casual and includes pizza, salads, two steaks, two seafood entrees and a few vegatarian options.Tje burgers were excellent, the rib eyes were very fatty, so almost 1/3 of it was left on the plate. We didn't feel at all like we had dined out on Christmas Eve, more that we grabbed an expensive casual dinner. This was our second disappointing experienceand, sadly, we all decided that it was our last.
Delicious food and good service. What more can one ask for?
Salad did not have the cheese that was supposed to be on it. Long wait for. Isabel’s and the stringy fries were tiny pieces. Basically the food was very mediocre.
The menu was limited- disappointed
Delightful brunch. Perfectly sized portions.
Waiter Raoul was super nice and attentive! Made our trip perfect!
Such a special place. Service was fantastic.
In the age of Covid, my priorities have somewhat changed. First, for me, is my safely and that of those dining with me. Regarding this, the restaurant ranked very high. I requested a table somewhat isolated and got it. All the servers were wearing masks which was important to all of us. The service was excellent--cordial, prompt and attentive, but not overly so. And our food was great. I had the Little Gem salad with radicchio which was perfect. The Green Goddess dressing certainly help! My friends each had a lobster and love it. To drink, I had a Prosecco and my friends each had wine and we were all happy with our choices. I'm going back for the lobster roll! I recommend that and all else.
Lively and fun - service is still good even though they are short staffed.
Beautiful atmosphere. Food was delicious. Highly recommend!
The staff could not have been more delightful.
You have an amazing team.
I think the decor/ ambiance might have been nice, but we were packed in there so tight like sardines that I couldn’t actually see much through the wall of people. The wall behind our table and the ceiling gave the impression this might have been a beautiful place, had we been able to see it.
Outrageously noisy, we ate in silence ( who could have a conversation in that noise?) and left as quickly as possible.
Food was good, not great and certainly not worth the price. Limited menu.
Would not go back or recommend.
We were staying at the Fairmont this weekend and decided to eat at OAK one night. There was a convention in the hotel so that meant things were hopping and very loud. Overall I thought the food and service was mediocre at best. The lobster roll I had was ok, but my wife's salad was not good at all. Our server was nice but knew nothing at all about the wines on the menu. Nothing was great or even notable.
A wonderful pre-show meal. Would do it again, but allow plenty of time to get out and get to the Symphony Hall. We didn't allow enough.
Love OAK Long Bar and Kitchen. So classy and tasteful! A must on your list!
Overall is was very nice. Would recommend!
Quite noisey because of the type of room. In one way
the ambience was nice, but not for a special dinning.
Brunch with a good friend was a great first visit to this spot. Tables are very close together but once we settled in it was fine. I really enjoyed the eggs Benedict with country ham. My friend enjoyed the big Bloody Mary!!
A lovely brunch.
Came to celebrate a 40th birthday. Food was excellent. Unfortunately it was overshadowed by inappropriately pushy and aggressive service. If a restaurant offers a 9pm booking and then takes 20 minutes before the guests are seated and the server appears so that the diners can ask a few questions, it is totally inappropriate to start berating the customer to order quickly with threats that the kitchen will close. Also a poor show to provide the diner with dirty plates upon seating. When we had finished the meal and the plates were being cleared and we were asked if we wanted desert, our simple request to see the desert menu was greeted with a barked threat that the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes and there was no time to bring the menu. Overall the horrible service cast a pall on what should have been a pleasant evening to celebrate an important life milestone. That we were seated next to a large and unruly group of people who kept knocking over things on our own table did not help.
Annual Birthday celebration for our mother in Heaven
In general a nice brunch with excellent service at the bar, but there were a couple of issues: serving a cold almost fresh blueberry muffin as part of any meal not good, and the coffee tasted like the coffee machine needs to be cleaned... poor quality. The rest was very good but unfortunately we remember what was lacking because it's a $100 brunch for two.
Terrible menu choices. Or lack there if I should say.
Gorgeous spot, you could stay all day .
Thanksgiving. Popped in for a coffee earlier on TG day, mainly to confirm booking, bar staff stuffy at best. Almost an inconvenience to order 3 coffees and a tea. Evening- Initially our table was away from the main room, placed by the lobby next to the lift shaft!! massively disappointed as we had booked weeks in advance as well as confirming booking. Our concern/complaints were resolved pretty quickly, hence the service mark being excellent, waiting staff could not have done any better.
Chosen wine superb. Food - rib eye x2 and TG Turkey x2, ok at best. Mash potatoes served just about warm, Rib eye, tbh I’ve had better. Overall, $500 for a below average meal and a ok experience.
Loved dining here with my family for Thanksgiving! The service was wonderful and we all enjoyed our meals. Festive and stress-free!
Lovely experience but a bit loud as far as the music is concerned.
Holiday dinner presented at a very busy time in a very professional manner. Our server, Vania, did an outstanding job making us feel comfortable and relaxed. Our meal was delivered in a timely fashion and was, in a word, delicious. The menu offered traditional fare, as well as items to satisfy any appetite. Prices up but to be expected for the holiday. Good job overall!
