OAK Long Bar + Kitchen
Nice ambiance, bizarrely slow and inattentive service for the price point. Most of the food was good, with the exception of the croque madame, which was dry.
Beautiful hotel and restaurant. Large assortment of great options on the breakfast menu. Food, lattes and service wonderful.
We do have to give a shout out to manager Chris who helped us with our issues. Our party must have been caught between changing shifts as our original waiter never came back to take our order. When a server finally approach us, she was incredibly rude. We were told we could no longer order from the brunch menus we were given because it was 3:09 and brunch stopped at 3. When we explained we would have ordered if someone had come back to out table; she rudely told us to pick from the other menu because there was lots of good thing on it! And she added you people were eating food so what is the problem; it was a fruit try we ordered earlier. The bar tenders & atmosphere is amazing but Oak Room could use some work on their servers.
We are never disappointed at this beautiful venue. The atmosphere, food and staff have been wonderful. Always a treat to come for breakfast or brunch.
First time going to the Oak Long Bar. The breakfast food was very underwhelming. It is expensive, but you are basically paying for the ambiance.
Love the Oak Room -- great meal, great ambience -- no better place for a professional meeting.
Great food, great service, lovely atmosphere
Best service I’ve ever had!! Great food!
We went for brunch on New Year's Day and it was FANTASTIC! Everything we ordered from the cinnamon roll to the pancakes to the eggs benedict were top notch. This was easily one of the best brunch/breakfast meals I've ever had and I look forward to going back. I will say service was slow and we did have to remind our server to bring us a few things, but he was pleasant and the food out weighs any service issue.
Was disappointed, as last year we went had such a great experience at this restaurant. Last year the oak-bar staff gave out hats and horns and complementary sparkling wine , this year nothing. Also food came out cold and sides did not match the menu online . It appeared that some items ran out , but nothing was said.
Great food and wonderful service. Was wedged in between two tight tables however, even though there was plenty of room in the restaurant. That was dissatisfying for the price you pay to eat there.
Hostess was awesome! I really appreciate her manners and she was really welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We were dining with a couple of teenagers and that’s what I would like for the teenagers to learn from, to treat others well and to be respectful. Our waitress however was a shame. She was rude from the beginning to end, came to take our orders in a haste, didn’t even bother to allow me to order a drink, didn’t even bother checking on us in between. When she came to give us our check, didn’t even bother asking if everything was alright and if we needed to box anything. I had to literally hastily asked her to box my half leftover pizza, which was quite good, as she was hastily turning away. Such a shame for such a nice establishment.
Your hostess was really amazing. I wish the tips would go to her.
Oak Bar is always a great time! We went for brunch and everything was phenomenal. Highly recommend
I love the atmosphere and the food was terrific. We were there for breakfast/brunch and the coffee was lukewarm but tasty. Cocktails were excellent. Our server was good but a bit disinterested. I love the experience overall and would go back again as I've had several other wonderful experiences with excellent service.
The Oak Long Bar never disappoints. We shared a number of small plates and the food was delicious and the service superb. My only very small complaint was that it was a bit noisy, but it was busy and I think that is to be expected.
The monkey bread is AMAZING the staff is very accommodating and nice. The Fairmont Copley is a nice hotel, so naturally the food and drinks are pricey, but on an occasion this place is worth the try. Try it once and you will go back. It’s a very popular place for drinks and dinner.
My fiancée and I like to go for brunch (monkey bread ;)) we’ve been 2 times and it’s been great each time. We will be back!
It was terrible. Waited almost 45 minutes for our appetizers (bread took longer) and then they brought the wrong app. Waiter came over and was indignant that we sent the app back. Had to let him know it was not what we ordered. Service was so bad we skipped dinner and went somewhere else. Never going back for dinner. Really disappointing.
I don’t even care about the
food because we were
treated so nicely
Everything was great - love this place!
Very noisy and very busy. Not a good place for hotel guests to ear.
The food and service here are always excellent! This time, we loved being seated in the little area off to the side as it was a bit quieter than the main seating area. It was very relaxing both to be over there and to have well-timed service from our server who was attentive but did not rush us. I will request this seating area in the future. (I also love the cozy little tables by the fireplace, but when I am with my mom it is better for her to have a regular height table.) Anyway thank you for making this a great experience again!
Ahhhhmazing. Hot boppin, quick service, excellent food, incredible vibe. People of all ages just out enjoying their night. This is my new favorite place to be in Boston!
Over priced poor quality cooked by people who can’t use a flame oven if you are going to do it then do it right
Love the ambiance, the food, and the drinks at this special venue. Service is excellent. It's become a favorite venue for special occasions with great friends.
Great food, great presentation, and great service. Very special place for a holiday meal.
Not The Oak Room, it is just another bar in a hotel now.
Enjoyed the food - some different menu choices such as avocado and crab toast. The mussels were excellent as well as the lamb meatballs. Only complaint is that the noise level is very high.
VERY high noise level. Way beyond energetic. HIGH Noise!!!!!!!! Couldn't carry on a conversation.
My husband jack daniels drink did not even have one finger of liquor for 15$.
I asked for no sauce on my hamburger. Served with the sause on it.
The waiter basically said nothing when I told him.
Therefore, I did not eat.
I had the temerity to ask for a piece of bread with my salad. They don't have any, can't find any and won't give you any. But they serve hamburgers on bread, no? This is just being cheap. Avoid.
Very nice place, great food. Service was so-so but perhaps a product of the busy time we went. It would be interesting to hear what others thought as we had not been here before.
Too loud due to the bar area to eat Thanksgiving dinner
I know that prices are raised for holidays, and I understand why, but $65 for a plate of turkey with stuffing just seemed so high! But, it was delicious, and I didn’t have to cook it, so would definitely go back. Lovely space in a beautiful area of Boston. Great service.
Excellent food and service. Our favorite place to have brunch.
Absolutely amazing. Service and food were both amazing, but the real star is the setting. Must visit if in Boston
Great late night spot and service is always fantastic!!
Great room! High top table was comfortable and the perfect size for the 4 of us. Cheese plate was a good start, especially when we got more bread to finish the cheese. Some of the side tables are a little cramped, especially the lower ones near the bar. But the front of the room near the main door look great and quiet.
We loved Long Oak. Everything we tasted was delicious. The atmosphere is perfect for a festive night out. Will definitely return!
I didn’t know this restaurant was part of a hotel when I reserved it for our anniversary dinner. I generally don’t like hotel restaurants. In my reservation, I indicated it was a celebration and requested a romantic table. We were sat two tables away from the door. There must have been a wedding that night because it was packed and loud. I couldn’t hear anything my husband said. It was so dark, the lady next to me had to use her phone flash light to read the menu (which kept shinning directly in our eyes). The service was okay as was the food. I won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend it to my friends.
(Also, it would have been a nice touch for the hostess or our server to wish us a happy anniversary since it was started on our reservation. )
