OAK Long Bar + Kitchen
Had a great experience at Oak. The waiters were all very friendly and fun. Had several great conversations with Anthony and his coworker. The food was melt in your mouth amazing. We had the meat and cheese plate and then the Gnochi and added a few lamb meat balls. Amazing. The cocktails were fabulous too. Highly recommend. Classy, fun, and delicious!
Always great food and good service. Lots of flexibility around meeting dietary needs. Fantastic ambience. Tends to be very noisy, so not so suitable if you're looking for quiet conversation.
Friends visiting from out of state. Great dinner, service and drinks! Always great, never disappoints.
Service is consistently sub par for the caliber of hotel. I got married here and know how good it can be, but Oak Room is consistently just OK.
Upon arrival, the hostess did not look away from her tablet to acknowledge my presence, and acted as if I were an inconvenience to seat. My guest, arriving approx ten mins later, was equally treated/affronted/insulted.
Our server was sweet and upbeat, but ill-informed about gluten-free preparation.
Excellent brunch! Loved the menu. Food and service were superb!
Awesome place. Comfortable vibe with delicious creative food. Cozy yet upscale.
Wife and I had a couple drinks, pretzel bites and we ordered two burgers. Neither one of us could eat the burger because it was so ridiculously over-salted. Gross. Drinks were fine, service was good. They didnt make us pay for the horrible food, but I can’t understand how something so simple gets so messed up.
Food is quiet good and the surroundings are very nice but they certainly charge a lot for simple dishes and "staple" items you'd see on a breakfast or lunch menu. They are done with more flair and penache but still...you are paying inflated hotel prices for that privilege. The check in process is a bit weird. not sure where the maître d is and people just casual walk in and out of the place and it isn't clear where to present yourself.
Noise level was 😱, jimmy fund race runners took over bar, crazy, waiter was not filling up our water glasses, martini glasses 😡, get new ones, food good, had nice day
Breakfast was far too expensive for what it was, and given price, omelette was just okay. Really odd musical choices given the general ambiance.
Awesome as usual. The service, food, drinks...everything is outstanding. One of my absolute favorite places in Boston. It is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for dinner for 3 with 3 drinks each with tip $300.00. Food is outstanding always hot when served, server was very attentive and we didn't wait but a few minutes for drinks, apps or meal to arrive. You definitely cannot go wrong here.
Thank you for your great feedback, Liz. We're so glad to have the opportunity to welcome you back multiple times and appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us. Please come see us again soon!
Lovely place for a drink and a bite. On the noisy side so that be an issue for some. The cheese platter is s good option for two to share. Wine offerings are excellent.
Great service. The best waitress I’ve ever had. She was so attentive and brought us complimentary champagne! Food was average. Atmosphere is great.
We love the Oak Bar, but on this particular night there was an ENORMOUS private affair going on in the hotel, and there were not enough staff to handle them plus regular diners. Management fell down with scheduling enough staff. Our server was lovely, and was working super hard, but there was just too much work, and our service suffered. My mushroom pizza was inedible. :-( We will come again on a slower night.
Nice place and the food was good. A bit over priced particularly the cocktails.
The food flavor was absolute fantastic the service was great french fries are amazing cop salad with chicken is awesome.
Excellent service. Excellent food.
Fantastic restaurant. Highly recommended
Thank you for your review, Niko. We're thrilled you fully enjoyed your dining experience with us at OAK Long Bar + Kitchen. Please come back soon!
Wonderful staff. Dog friendly in the space just outside the actual restaurant. Delicious beef tartare, scallops.
Thanks for your nice feedback! We're glad you enjoyed dining with us recently and our dog-friendly patio. We hope to see you again soon.
This was our 4th breakfast at OAK in a couple of weeks during our 2 stays at Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston. I also want to write a letter of praise to George Terpilowski, the Plaza Senior manager. Food is excellent: Lobster Eggs Benedict; OAK breakfast (poached eggs and toast, fingerling potatoes with side of Corned Beef Hash; juice, cappuccino).
EXCELLENT consistent friendly service by Jonathan. Could not be better. Also, able support by "Mitch"; hope he gets to be promoted as a server. Hosts Lucille and Noni were welcoming, delightful and helpful.
Music was way too loud.
Everything seemed too spicy. The woman next to us sent hers back. Our order of Chatham mussels had far too much red pepper flakes.
Prices high - portions and drinks small
Thank you for your helpful feedback. We are sorry to hear that you found the music too loud, that your food was spicy, and you didn't feel like you had enough to eat. We will be sure to share your feedback with our managers regarding the music levels and portion sizes, and will also retrain our staff to make note of the spiciness of certain dishes when taking guest orders. We appreciate your help in making our restaurant better! Thank you very much. We hope to serve you again in the future.
My absolute favorite bar/restaurant.

The restaurant space is expansive, and well-appointed. Our servers were very attentive and courteous. I would recommend this for anyone who would like a memorable experience, especially from an ambiance standpoint. The food was fresh, and very tasty - an eclectic menu.
Thank you for your 5-star review, Mike. We are delighted you had a fabulous time dining with us and that you loved our historical charm and ambiance. It was our pleasure to serve you and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Really nice time here despite being part of a hotel. Really enjoyed the enitre experience! Staff were excellent.

Everything average except for the prices. $21.00 for a vodka gimlet at lunchtime. I hadn't been here in years. It was always a very special place. Great food, service and high prices but quality all the way, everytime. The sight of a television in the center of the gorgeous bar is awful. A real sign of the times I guess. I won't return.
I booked about a week ahead of time. On the day that I arrived I was seated immediately and before I could get comfortable my server was asking me what I would like to drink. I loved everyone’s attitude. The place wasn’t loud at all, just regular table conversations going on. If you want a place that looks beautiful, comfortable seating, quick service and great food, this is your place.
My go-to place in Boston. Took friends from TX and the food and service was top notch, as always. And Cheryl at the front is a treasure. A gracious host. Great people watching. Good crowd. Olive are out of this world
The menu wasn't thrilling / didn't give you a fine-dining feel but the food was generally good.
The brunch was everything we imagined it would be.
It was the worst restaurant we have been to across 30 years and 20 countries. We had been there and also stayed in the hotel 7 years earlier, when it was very nice.
My wallet got stolen at lunch time. They need better security and servers who are aware of things. The person who stole my wallet did not order anything but asked for a couple of olives. That should have been a clue for them in a “fancy “ restaurant
I have not dined here for a while and remembered why when I arrived. The service the last time and again this visit was terrible . Server seemed like he'd rather be somewhere else & was not helpful. Absolutely no interaction other asking us what we wanted to order. Comments or questions on the F&B were ignored. Brought check over w/out asking if we wanted coffee or dessert.
I was a little embarrassed as I had suggested for a business lunch and the other parties commented at the end of the lunch how the food was good, but the service/server was terrible and they would not go back.
Stopped in the hotel had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant all good nice experience 🙏🏼
The ambiance in the restaurant was perfect, and our service, drinks and appetizers were great, but our main meals were overpriced and bland.
Fabulous night! From food to service to ambience we couldn't be happier.
Nice ambience and excellent service! Cocktails were a little bit too sour and strong for my young friends but I thought they were pretty good. We had a lobster roll, a wagyu burger and some lamb meat balls - all three were pretty good (no complaints from the girls!). And the deserts were also enjoyed! Bit too noisy for a first date!
