    MUSIC IS OFTEN TOO LOUD. THE SAME TRACKS HAVE PLAYED AT LEAST SINCE JANUARY OF 2023. SOMETIMES THE HASH IS FULL OF GREASE AND OTHER TIMES PERFECT. THE STUFFED OYSTERS ARE A COMPLETE RIP OFF SINCE THE ORDER INCLUDES ONLY 2 OYSTERS.

    A great meal. Scored a reservation the day before after finding out I’d be in Boston. Wonderful menu choices well prepared. I had the blue hills mussels and we split an order of shisito peppers and they were phenomenal and enough mussels to feed an army. The entrees were more modest sized - thankfully. Ricotta Gnudi and seared Duck Breast with pine nut risotto. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Probably the finest “thanksgiving” dinner I’ve ever had. A good 2 mile walk back to our lodgings and we were well satisfied.

    We come here every Thanksgiving. Service is great, food excellent and surroundings are lovely. PS: we never get the Turkey. The other offerings are more interesting!

    OAK is a favorite that my dining companion and I have been to many times. But we were very disappointed in the service we received - distracted, slow, getting multiple requests wrong, conspicuously paying more attention to the next table, and instead of giving us separate checks as we requested at the beginning, simply dividing the total check in half, which was not really fair to my companion. Worst service we've ever had there. If we hadn't had such a good time on other occasions earlier this year, I would not recommend it.

    Main course was cold. We unwisely opted to have starters and the main course arrived simultaneously - why. When the main course was brought back it was cold. Not a good experience

    My fiancée and I went for our anniversary and were extremely disappointed. The location of the restaurant is in one of the most coveted hotels in Boston but the restaurants quality was far from that. My steak was overly salty and had way too much pepper. It’s hard to overly season a steak so this was incredibly disappointing. My fiancée’s haddock tasted saltier than the ocean itself. The bread appetizer was extremely dense and underwhelming. Overall we expected an elegant, upscale experience but we would’ve been better off spending it at home for the quality of food served to us. I will not be dining here again and would not recommend this restaurant to my peers.

    This is my favorite brunch in Boston. The interior is so beautiful as is the lobby of the Fairmont Copley plaza hotel. The staff is very attentive and my favorite place to eat is at the bar. Because of its configuration, there are lots of corners, so two people usually can sit at a corner and really enjoy conversation. The breakfast is fabulous and the bartenders are extremely attentive, professional and polite. My favorite dish is the corned beef hash. Sunday brunch here has become a family tradition frequently throughout the year. If you can get it, reserve the table for two in the back in front of the blazing fireplace.

    The service and atmosphere were great. Disappointed in the changes to the menu for our favorite dishes such as the gem salad - no more lardons, peas or goddess dressing. It’s a lot of $$$ for lettuce and croutons. The lobster addition tasted old. Wine prices have taken a major increase for not so good wines. The only thing that was tasty was the burger and fries. SO DISAPPOINTED as this is/ was one of our favorite spots in the city!

    Overall, we had a very nice lunch with friends who were visiting from out of town. The room was almost empty so it was nice and quiet. It’s a gorgeous and special room. Everyone enjoyed their food: baby gem salad w chicken, grits and shrimp, beets, short ribs and fresh from the over bread. It took a little while for the food to come out but we hadn’t seen each in almost a year so had a lot to catch up on. Our one complaint was that our waiter looked like he had slept in a dumpster. His vest and pants had many obvious stains on them and he didn’t seem to care - or notice that only half his shirt was tucked into his pants. I don’t know why the manager would allow someone in a guest facing position to ever dress like that. This person should not be serving food. We can only imagine how dangerous, health wise, it would be if his hands touched the food.

    Came to Boston for work. My bir6jqppened to be during this trip some 3 coworkers and myself went out for a nice meal or so we hoped. Food was terrible. We ordered pork belly, cauliflower, cod, oysters, Maine lobster and duck. The only good thing was the duck. You needed a saw to cut through the pork belly. We got 2 oysters for $21 and the cod was dry. The duck was the only good dish. Ambiance is what you want for a Saturday night energetic vibe and it's beautiful. The service was terrible and our server was rude!

    Wonderful atmosphere. It was a business lunch when I asked for a quiet table. They sat me at the fireplace, which was perfect for conversing with my guest. The hamburger and fries were yummy! A great lunch places

    Food was fine but it took an HOUR to arrive. They yelled at us for asking where it was. No accommodation for the long wait. Would never go back. And it was expensive.

    The food was needlessly overpriced - definitely felt like it wasn't anything special for all the extra money. Lobster roll was fine - but $42!? Clam chowder came out with a film on the top - b/c it had sat for a bit? The atmosphere was pretty (albeit a tad too dark) but the service was great (funny Russian woman) who made my daughter's birthday special. It's a nice place to get a fancy drink, but I'd go eat somewhere else next time.

    The menu isn’t great. I hated my meal. Service was awful. Waitress never came to check on our appetizers or dinners. Then we got coffee came out cold. The honey butter & bread not as good as usual. Waiter seemed like she was overworked, running from table to table. When she came to take my plate, she asked me if I wanted to bring it home because it was uneaten and I said I didn’t like it, not a word from her. When we told her that the coffee was cold and we didn’t want a refill that we just wanted it taken off our bill because we didn’t drink it, she didn’t apologize or respond. We got married 36 years ago in the grand ballroom. We come every year for our anniversary and the last couple of years we have found that the food isn’t that good. Read in the globe that they got a new chef so we felt it was worth another try But the menu hasn’t changed in any significant way and the selections are bizarrely constructed. Then we went to peek into the grand ballroom, and some manager accosted us, and was like kicking us out without even asking a question and then, when I explain the situation, he’s like OK, go take a peek in the ballroom. We always look in the ballroom to remember our time 36 years ago. Not only did I get married there, my sister did, and my parents as well. The hotel holds a lot of memories for us. Unfortunately we won’t be coming back because the food and the service was not worth it. Will go, have a drink, take a peek in the ballroom and go eat somewhere else.

    The Long Oak bar is one of my favorites. This time I was meeting a date, a first date. Unfortunately the background music was way too loud to carry on a conversation. And apparently pizza is no longer on the menu. Other Share-ables were not very share-worthy. We ended up leaving after one glass of wine and going someplace else to get a bit to eat. That being said, the hostess and wait staff were excellent, very attentive without being overbearing. I’ll be back but probably not for a date night.

    A good spot in the city with notable history and ambience. Unfortunately, our server continued to underestimate the portion sizes so we ended up with significantly more food than my family needed, which created a feeling like we were just being upsold.

    We LOVED our dinner here! Our waiter was thoughtful and attentive without being obtrusive. The food was so, so good, and the Fairmont is the most beautiful hotel in the city. We loved every moment!
