Oak - Dallas
Great service and yummy food. Swordfish was pretty dang good. The truffle mac and cheese is a great choice for a side.
We had an amazing Thanksgiving experience but Oak is perfect for every day dining. Highly recommend!
Chef willing and able to accommodate vegan diet. Excellent service.
We will definitely be coming back. They made everything perfect. The food was top notch. I had the fillet which melted in my mouth and some of the best Brussels sprouts I have ever tasted. Also a must have is the truffle Mac n cheese The restaurant had a cozy yet modern vibe. But it was the service that was over the top. Our waiter and the service team made us feel like we were the most important guests ever. Thank you for a most memorable evening.
Wonderful spot perhaps one of the nicest decors I have seen in the Metroplex. Good is incredible and the presentation is spot on.
We went on a weeknight during this Covid mess so needless to say the dining room was pretty empty. Beautiful room and it was quiet for obvious reasons but still nice nonetheless. Our server (Carter) was outstanding with each visit to the table which seemed to be perfectly timed for a drink refill, taking our order, or providing suggestions. We enjoyed very good appetizers (crab cake, cerviche) as both were well prepared and delicious. For entrees, we enjoyed the halibut and pekin duck. Both were very good and well cooked. Even though we had no room for desert, the restaurant provided us with a very nice chocolate desert with a very nice "Happy Anniversary" message dusted on the plate with cocoa powder. Very nice gesture and a nice finish to a very good meal. Will definitely return for another visit to this fine establishment.
We really enjoyed dining on the terrace outside. Great service from Gabe and phenomenal food! Can’t wait to return!
Great ambiance, delicious food and friendly staff.
Service was short staffed. Took awhile on second round of drinks. Ordered the trio steaks and was over cooked first time and it was the same three steaks the second time, there was no difference in the meat and we paid for the variety at $85. Was disappointed considering I’ve had steaks from many steakhouses and there was no difference in then and that is what the customers pay for and the experience.
Ambiance was great and upbeat. Staff was friendly and apologetic, just seemed they were overwhelmed but looks like a lot of team work was going on.
Main concern was just value of steak and when they forgot about our drinks or not offering us bread. But we asked and they brought it to us.
My only objection was the price of the food was to expensive. A 6 oz filet was $57.00 a 16 oz ribeye was $80.00.
Had the best time celebrating our anniversary
Birthday dinner. Great service, great food.
We had a great experience at Oak! We had reservations on a Saturday night and were seated right away. The maitre d, Francisco, was very welcoming and thanked us for coming, which I thought was very nice. Our server was very attentive but not overly so, which was great. We ordered the quail for an appetizer, which was amazing! We also enjoyed our main courses, the filet mignon and lamb chops and sides, asparagus and butter mashed potatoes, the only complaint was the lamb chops were a pretty small serving. We also had a few of the martinis, which we enjoyed as well. We were also really impressed and surprised with the dessert we received as we were there on our original wedding date and just celebrate our upcoming nuptials (we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID), the dessert was amazingly good as well! Side note: Ambiance was also great and the decor was perfect. We would definitely recommend and will be back again!
The musics was great and the service was on point
This was my first time at Oak and would definitely go again. The food was excellent but found the sushi rolls to be a little too big and had to cut them in half. We also sat on the patio and three business guys all had cigars lit throughout their meals. Will sit inside next time! However, overall, I love this place! Service was amazing and the wait staff very attentive. Inside is very clean, modern and like most places very-quite due to Covid-19.

We really enjoyed dinner at Oak-Dallas. The service was slow but the vibe and music was so good it didn’t matter. The appetizers were disappointing but the main course was excellent! With that said, we can’t wait to go again!
Oak was the absolute best decision I had made to celebrate a weekend with my girlfriend. An extremely friendly staff all around and high level service that would sometimes cost you a fortune in other restaurants. Also, if you have a love for a variety of excellent choices for a bottle of wine, Oak is definitely the place for you. Thank you so much for the service and experience here and we will absolutely be returning soon.
Loved the food, loved the ambiance, but music was too loud. Went for a birthday and their presentation complete with cake and sparkler was excellent and much appreciated! Will definitely be back!
The crab cakes are amazing ton of crab in them and fresh. Hand the Bone in NY strip with bourbon peppercorn. Was flavorful! I love a good drink and Chelsie suggested two that were so awesome!
The service was wonderful. The steaks were prepared very well. The swordfish and octopus were slightly over cooked. The music playing was a little loud.
All was great! Food was excellent and service outstanding !!
We always enjoy the Oak for the atmosphere. Seating is comfortable and well spaced so you can enjoy conversation with your guests. This is especially important now. The tables are normally spaced far enough apart to where you are spaced well away from other tables. Food and service is always excellent.
Was a great experience! My friend and neighbor Francesco told us of this place and upon visiting there where he works as a host, we were treated very very well and the food was great and ambience basically creates the restaurant I think.
This restaurant was so incredible! My husband and I were absolutely shocked it was so quiet on a Thursday at 7pm. The food was delicious, service was the best we’ve ever had, and the restaurant vibe was fantastic. This is our new favorite restaurant in Dallas. It’s just the right about of bougie without being *overrated* cough, you know who you are. We cannot wait to come back!
Great experience and great food! The device was awesome and is by any doubt one of our favorite restaurants in Dallas.
Love it 😍 I recommend and my kids loved it as well.
Oak was an amazing choice for a Birthday dinner! Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Our dinner was superb!
This restaurant feels like it has lost its mojo. I’m not sure if it is the COVID or what, but everything was average. We’ve had some special meals in the past here with friends but we won’t be back.
We were so excited for the Re-opening of Oak, having had great meals there and enjoying the ambiance and decor of the restaurant. The restaurant should now be called Joke. The maitre de called me to tell me that if someone is sitting at our table for our slotted reservation, that we may wait 20 minutes to an hour because “they’re allowed to linger”. Really?? We get to the restaurant and they gave our requested table away. The maitre de had some satanic/outlaw black outfit on and was less than accommodating. The pop music was blaring and we asked that it be turned down so we could hear each other speak. The maitre de said he had no control over the volume. Really?? Our wait person, Paula was the bright spot in our night. She had the manager reduce the uncomfortably loud music and he did. We were so disappointed and would not go back. That once elegant restaurant isn’t going to make it with the new vibe. There are many other restaurants in Dallas that are better.
We were seated at our table for 10 minutes without a server stopping by to introduce themselves. We finally asked a server who walked by if she would assist us, and she explained that our table wasn't in her section but she would take care of us. I ordered the pork chop for dinner and requested that it be cooked medium. It came to the table rare and was sent back to the kitchen. It was cooked further and brought back to the table cooked properly. My wife ordered the chicken dish and it was very salty. She ate less than half of it. The bread that we were served prior to dinner was stale. Overall, a very disappointing evening out for dinner!
Food was excellent but it took us over an hour to receive our order. Unacceptable.
The restaurant was nice with great music although it was a bit loud.
We were seated immediately but it took a little while for our server to greet us and provide water and take our drink order.
I'm confused about the server with the bread basket. Was there a shortage on bread last night? I've been to Ocean Prine, Del Frisco Double Eagle, Eddie Vs and a few other places many times. They provide bread for the table and not a person serving you one piece. (that was a first...very odd)
We all ordered the same main course which was the new york steak. 2 had it medium, 1 medium rare and the other medium well. When they served our meal they just placed it on the table in front of each of us and we just assumed we were getting the correct temperature steak. We didn't...after we took a bite or two of our steaks we realized three of ours were mixed up. I don't like sending things back because I don't want to take any chances. So we just swapped our steaks with each other.
We ordered brussel sprouts based on a review and the truffled mac & cheese. The BS was not good and my BF said the mac & cheese was not either.
Our server was Carter and he was MIA for much of the evening. I didn't realize they charge for refills on soft drinks so this explains the reason he wasn't just refilling our drinks...I guess. Again the other restaurants mentioned above have free refills.
Also, our table was right next to the host desk. The host would make sure to tell us to put on our mask when going to the restroom. However, there was some man talking with the host and several other employees walking around with no mask on nor was the man's little daughter who was walking around the restaurant wearing a mask. I guess he and his daughter signed up for the trial vaccine somewhere and we were not made aware they didn't need to wear a mask.
It just may have been an off night for the restaurant...it happens!
Truly the worst dining experience we I’ve ever had. Apologies for going long here but there are so many details to this that it has to be mentioned
We waited 2 hours for our main course until we finally asked the wait staff what was going on. First, we were told “we had more people here ordering restaurant week than expected”. Then we were told that they had a “computer glitch”. Both of of which do not make any sense as to why the food was MIA. This was a Saturday night with the restaurant at average capacity considering COVID so those excuses don’t check out. Tables who sat after us got their food, ate, and left before we saw our food.
To try and make up for it, they gave us a bottle of champagne on the house. However, upon further inspection this was a bottle I could have easily picked up from the store for about $8. Our table was easily going to have a ticket nearing $400, and that’s how they make it right?
When we finally get our main course, quality was sub par. I ordered a Wagyu filet and I honestly couldn’t tell a difference with a normal filet. The sides and starters were not very noteworthy. Amazed this was served at a fine dining restaurant.
Of course, we expecting a lot of our bill comped given all of these problems. When we finally received our check, they had taken off a total of about $15....off of a check of $400. You cannot charge people those prices when we are paying for top quality and service. We immediately sent the check back. The manager then sent us a new check with about half of our bill comped, which I figured was acceptable.
This restaurant needs an honest review of customer service and food quality. If they can’t get these figured out, they need to close this establishment.
We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner! Thanks to Oak for great food and service.
Very good food and service. We did the restaurant week prix fixe. All was good, but the arugula salad was a bit dry and bland. They also had the air pumping and it wasn’t that hot outside, so I was freezing. But worth checking out - restaurants need business now.
Delightfully decorated! Wonderful food and pleasant atmosphere. The staff was undeniably professional.
The food was delicious! I do feel the room we were in was a little too dark but that wasn't a problem until towards the end of our meal, anyway. I always love Oak's atmosphere and food and they were still picture perfect this time.
The restaurant went above and beyond
FABULOUS SUPPER & OMBIANCE🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
