Menu was limited, but food was delicious
it was our second time visiting here , staff were nice but they were too busy, it took almost 30 mins to order drinks. after they get the orders from us, they got it everything in good speed , our waiter chris , he was nice .

Impeccable service provided by Chris and the team. The fresh made pasta, lamb and Branzino were delicious. The Executive Chef Simona Oliveri and her kitchen team knocked it out of the park.
The food was great and the ambiance was even better. They had live music the night we went and we sat at a table right in front of the musician. We ordered oysters and crab toast as appetizers and they were excellent. Our entrees and dessert were tasty too and the service was exceptional. This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back!
The host kindly welcomed us and sat us immediately for our evening reservation. The energy of the staff along with live music was great! Will be back soon!
We celebrated a birthday and graduation at Oak & Violet and it was an outstanding experience. Our serve, Cesar, was exceptional - he provided recommendations and insight into the menu and ensured everyone enjoyed themselves throughout the meal. We had two guests with serious food allergies, Cesar worked with the kitchen so they did not need to worry about reactions. Selection and quality of the food was excellent I highly recommend dining at Oak & Violet.

This was my second time at Oak + Violet. They are always so nice and helpful when you need a change in ingredients or dishes. And, I think this is one of the best fancy restaurants in the south bay. Valet parking is complimentary.

Food overpriced and crab toast was way too salty.
Nice cocktail menu.
Brunch menu was simple, classy, and satisfying. The cucumber gimlet was a standout cocktail with just the right touch of elderflower. Staff masked and courteous, environment. I would have preferred the meal to arrive sooner, as it seems they were waiting for us to finish the cocktail. If we had asked, I sense that they would accommodate these wishes. The environment was just quiet enough to enjoy a good conversation. This was a wonderful choice for my first time dining out. I'll be back for sure.

The food and service are pretty mediocre and the prices are steep. Steak was well cooked, but I when asked for fresh pepper, they brought me a pepper shaker. I expect a decent restaurant to have a pepper grinder. Drinks are OK but again prices are steep. Hard to find a glass of wine for <$15. Outdoor space was nice, but a bit loud. Seems like this place is designed more as a trendy spot for business gatherings rather than a restaurant striving to provide a good culinary excellence.

We had a late reservation 8:30 pm - it took over 40 minutes to place an order for drinks so we ordered our food at same time. Main course of dinner arrived prior to our appetizers. No apology from anyone working there - almost like it is normal to serve dinner in reverse order.

Atmosphere is excellent - they have the best terrace in the business. We had many great meals in the past here - but the food seems to have slipped somewhat. The 6 dishes we ordered were kind of meh. Absolutely nothing wrong but not the expression of love we experienced in the past. Fingers crossed this was a one-off.

We had a fabulous meal and evening at Oak + Violet. There was nice energy in their outside space, but plenty of room to feel comfortable. The wait staff was professional and friendly. The food by Chef Simona and her team was outstanding.

Amazing food! Gorgeous patio space with nice plants and great decor, ambience, etc. Friendly staff, but service was slow, though that might be due to pandemic-related challenges. Tables nicely spaced, so it felt safe outdoors. Live music was nice, if a little too loud.

perfect date with good music and staff
Great outdoor space and fantastic music by Freddy Clarke and works band. Not sure why there was a complaint about noise as it was not loud whatsoever. Good that facilities were fixed quickly and we were informed from the start. Wonderful evening and will be back on the weekend.

We had the beat Mother’s Day brunch ever! The food was so tasty! My parents are such critics but they kept complimenting the food. Also, the sun was moving around on this day and the servers were so accommodating and kept helping move us to avoid the sun. I just can’t say how pleasant this day was thanks to such a polite, friendly, professional team. Lastly the cucumber gimlet was AMAZING.

We came to celebrate a birthday which I had specifically said it was a birthday celebration. We got seated inside and started looking at the menu. Once we decided what we wanted the hostess heard us talking about the pizza on the menu and came over to say “sorry I forgot to mention we’re not serving pizza tonight.” So I decided on the pappardelle pasta which then I was told they ran out of the pasta for that certain pasta. The choice we were given was to order that dish but with shell pasta which was fine up until I tried the dish when it came out. The tomato sauce was so runny/watery with big chunks of tomato and was very very bland. For a $20 pasta you’d except the flavors to dance in your mouth but instead I couldn’t even finish it. Our server did not check on us not once the entire time we were there. We saw him when we ordered our food and when it was time to pay. In which they already included the gratuity for us. There was no way he would have gotten a 20% tip. Our drinks were empty and we wanted seconds. There was no desert with candle brought out to the birthday girl and at that point we just couldn’t wait to leave.

Great vibe, great food, great service! There was a live band playing which was super fun, and they gifted us some free champagne and dessert since we were celebrating our anniversary. Can't wait to come back!
