Join Us for a Special Dining Experience Following the Silicon Zombies speaker series, we invite you to enjoy an exclusive three-course prix fixe menu at Oak & Violet, showcasing selections from our ever-evolving seasonal menu. This special seating is available by reservation only on the evening of the event, from 7:30 PM to 8:45 PM. Space is extremely limited, and a credit card is required to guarantee your reservation. Reservations must be made no later than 48 hours prior to the event, and may be cancelled without penalty up to 48 hours in advance. This Grammy Award-winning artist has played around the globe with legendary performers like Willie Nelson, Steve Miller, MC Hammer and the Doobie Brothers. Carlos has been wowing audiences since his first public appearance at the age of 5! Originally from Paraguay, Carlos moved with his family to the Bay Area as a young child and debuted with the Oakland Symphony Orchestra when he was only 14 years old. Don’t miss this special opportunity to see Carlos perform at such an intimate venue, and prepare to be blown away by his sheer genius!

It is always nice to have dinner outdoors. Not only the ambience but the food and service were great. The new menu it’s outstanding. Will defensively come back for dinner. So exited to try the new bar and lounge menu.

The service was excellent. Our hostess went above and beyond to help us get seated. The music band was great. Their wine list is superb.

Live music and dining outside were a plus for this restaurant. We expected noise as the restaurant faced El Camino Real, but there was only low noise level and wonderful live jazz music on a Friday night made the dining a joy. Appetizers for us, a group of 4, were not much to choose from. Entrees were expensive and when one of us ordered a fish entree despite not liking the paired vegetable, our friend was not offered a substitute, and do the fish ordered arrived as just a piece of broiled fish on a plate. With 4 of us, and 3 entrees ordered and 3 appetizers, and 2 desserts and 3 drinks …. The check was almost $300 and we left hungry! Service was good but really only 4 half slices of bread with the cheese appetizer! Salads were also skimpy. While we loved the music and the ambience it gave the evening .. we would not return .

Second time here and I am as impressed as I was the first time. It is pricy but the food is phenomenal and worth every dollar. Highly recommend.

Party of 12. A few other parties on patio, zero inside. 40 min wait for cocktail. Had to ask bartender to send a wait twice. When we sat inside for dinner, waited another 20 min for a waiter while kitchen staff stared at us. Opened and poured our own water and wine (which I had preselected during an ealier that day visit). Waiter, when he got there, was friendly and did a good job from that point forward. Food is above average, some items good, but not good value for the price.

We celebrated a friends birthday there. Overall great quality food. Burger was absolutely delicious . Salmon and halibut tasty and great service. Will definitely go back.
