The food and staff were great!! A couple more sides would be great! However they do advertise as a meat buffet so they’re accurate. There were 4 of us and the guys got their moneys worth. We will definitely be going back. I was craving their food today!

The tri tip and brisket were nice and juicy. The tri tip was a bit overdone, but still delicious. Mac and cheese is definitely try with that crispy top. Service was a bit slow but the server was nice and polite. Will I go back? Absolutely - there are more menu items I want to try.

This restaurant has real potential. It’s family-owned and they were very thoughtful with the decor. Walking in, you can smell the bbq and we were excited to try Oak and Ember for the first time. The food that came out hot was really good. But several dishes were lukewarm - had obviously been sitting waiting for the other dishes to come out. The brisket, chili, Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese, fries, and focaccia bread were all really good. The burger was nothing special and the cornbread was, well, just weird. The service was incredibly slow. We were there later in the evening and the restaurant was not busy at all. It took a good 30-40 minutes to get our food after ordering, and even then they forgot one of the dishes which then took another 10-15 minutes to get. I think this place has real potential if the kitchen figures out how to time the various dishes so they come out hot and the servers figure out how to keep things moving. We didn’t regret eating here completely because of the food, but we probably won’t take a chance on returning.

Service was good. We went early on a Saturday for dinner. Ordered the bbq platter. I was not a fan of the brisket and beef ribs. Both tasted like roast beef. Chicken, Tri tip and sides were good. We will be back to try other things on the menu.

1) Hostess seemed a little flustered, stressed, maybe that’s why she wasn’t the most welcoming when we walked into the establishment. 2) Took about 10 minutes for anyone to approach our table, which the server apologized for but also just seemed sort of average. I’m not sure anyone actually cares about providing good service anymore, yet a 20% or higher tip is just expected. 3) Food was ok. The chili and buffalo wings had good flavor. Loaded Mac and cheese was fair, and the chicken tender batter was both, fried and soggy. Seasoning for the fries was good. Decent wine by the glass selection. 4) I might return if someone local wants to go and try it out, but it probably won’t make my list of “have to go to,” when I’m in town.

Had a nice time, the waiter sat us quickly and gave us shots on the house. The food was great and the service was even better. I'd go back again for sure.

It's an ok kind of spot not your average I'll be returning to spot. Service needs a little brushing up as you'll be at your table for a good 10-15 waiting just to get a hello or water and even longer when waiting for your check . The food was decent nothing mind blowing, although the food could be hot not just warm like its been sitting out for awhile. Ordered the ribs and I'm sure the flavor is amazing when hot but not this time. Lucilles has hotter plates than this place. The price in total doesn't justify the value of food you get. Make sure to read the menu the sides to add to your meal are being charged at la carte they don't come like meal deal. Overall all I'd say this place is 2 stars out of 5. They could do better

2nd experience, 1st was great, server asked if we knew bout the hidden menu and we got it and it was perfect for our group. Food always delicious, seasoned well, cooked well and great staff
