Our server was sweet and funny. Service was excellent. The menu was unexpected comfort food which was fine but below expectations for a hotel. Then again, most high end hotels seem to have cafeteria style areas for guests rather than formal restaurants. Good for what it was.
Enjoyed the beautiful location, attentive service and tasty food. Missed the buratta appetizer though.
Our server Anthony was the friendliest person ever! He was a pleasure to chat with and made the experience at OAK + CRU great. The food itself however was OK at best. Pretty location to eat at, but food quality was just alright.
First time there. The food and service were exceptional. The chef and team are at the top of their game. We will be back to have dinner next time we visit Kelowna. Highly recommend the pork chop and the beef tenderloin .The charcuterie plate was very good.
Organized, safe site (covid), friendly and helpful host, thoughtful server. Meals were beautiful, and delicious. Thank you for the perfect Blue steak.
Dinner menu food was better than breakfast. The pork chop was very good. Service is average. Prices are on the high side.
We were disappointed to not be able to sit on patio , but understand there aren’t as many tables right now.
Our wine cane just after our main meal arrived. Would have been nice to have it right away.
Did not like having to use phone to get menu. The menus could be laminated and wiped down.
The same with with salt pepite shakers. We thought it was very tacky to be brought a dish with little packets. This was not a burger place. 😞.
Overall it was good
Great food, great view and location!!
Great dining experience! Loved the view from the patio
Great view, food was good! We enjoyed our evening here.
We love to come to your happy hour and people watch! Our assigned server was a little less performing, maybe he was having a bad day, but the others made up for him and we were well served. We'll be BACK!
Mediocre.. wasn’t what I expected
A great experience, will definitely return during our next visit to Kelowna!
Good food and service
Beautiful view, delicious food, excellent service.
Had a delightful brunch with old friends who were passing through the Okanagan. We both had the Eggs Benny and were completely sated. The server, Kali I believe, was attentive and wonderful. We had arrived a little earlier than our reservation but the staff quickly accommodated us with a cleaned table in a good shady location (it was a scorcher of a day!). Overall a very good experience. We will be back!
Menu is very limited and my food choice was not good at all. I ordered the Mac and Cheese and was the worst I’ve ever had. Extremely expensive for what we had. Will not be returning.
Will definitely return the next time we are staying at the hotel. The outdoor patio had a beautiful view. Service, wine, and food was very good!
Great ambient, delicious food, and excellent service!
Great ambiance and great food. Service was excellent. Happy hour was great value.
We had the tenderloin and it was excellent. Very Gourmet accompaniments as well. Everyone loved the chicken wings as our appetizer. Somebody else ordered the chicken burger and they said it was scrumptious! The service was absolutely over-the-top; delightful in every way.
The food was okay but pretty pricey while our server was good the host was terrible. This place requires masks although most places in Kelowna do not. There was also a lot of inconsistencies seen. The host also didn’t tell us they were handing out masks at the front so we walked all the way back to our car. My mother waited for almost 15 minutes before being greeted. Our reservation couldn’t be found because some of our guests were already there.... I have worked as a server - you can partially seat a table. There were 6 of us plus an infant - which was in the reservation notes - due to covid we couldnt sit together... we should have been called and informed after making the reservation. We wanted breakfast but after waiting to be served and walking to get our masks we missed it. My mother ordered the soup on the menu and they changed it without letting us know. Would not go back.
Took my elderly parents for a light lunch and shared a couple of pizzas. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Music was too loud for my hearing impaired (hearing aid-wearing) father, and the hostess managed to turn the volume down. Ambience was fantastic and would visit again next time I’m in Kelowna.
Service improved for our lunch reservation but dinner twice was very disappointing
We chose Oak + Cru for our 11 year anniversary dinner for the waterfront view and delicious sounding menu. Covid precautions put in place were great for first impressions, but it went downhill in my mind as soon as we received our water, our glasses didn’t seem all that clean and there were some strange floaties in the water jug. The prices were insane for the amount of food that was served. $18 for three shrimp... $26 for a charcuterie board that included 9 pieces of meat that I usually buy at superstore, nothing special. We would have gotten more food, local meats and spent half as much at Flask Social House. The only thing better at Oak + Cru would be the location and even then we were told they were cleaning a table for us closer to the water as the only one available was directly outside. So we waited a couple minutes, no problem only to be led to the first table with the lesser view. Would not visit again.
Charcuterie and margarita pizza were disappointing. Cocktails were good. Nice outdoor patio on the water.
Brought my sisters to dinner since they are from Alberta, they loved every bit of it
We quite enjoyed our 2 course wine paired lunch. We were unfortunately seated right by the open kitchen, which can be rather noisy understandably. The food was delicious. A 3 oz. pour of wine per course, however, seemed a bit underwhelming. It’s a winery after all, and at those prices, a more generous pour seems appropriate.
We had a fabulous server and The food was terrific. They however have to figure out how to get the music the right level and the right type
it was so loud we couldn’t even talk at our table and many people were complaining. apparently the music control is locked up by The general manager who then isn’t around.???
The local manager tried to help but did not turn it down enough for many of the diners. Really enjoy having music in the background but not such that we had to yell at each other to hear at the table. Worth a visit though!!!
It was my birthday. We had a great experience but I was concerned with people playing musical tables and moving around when we had to have a mask on when we walked through the hotel.
Food and location was good. Waiter was going through the motions- no energy, had to ask for water 3 times. Great location and lots of options on the menu.
Enjoyable evening with good service.
Went for anniversary dinner (which was noted in the reservation) and were immediately sat in a corner on the patio, in the direct sun. When we kindly asked our server if we could move, she responded that there is a 99% chance that you cannot because they do not want to have to do the work and disinfect the table again because of Covid. So instead we sat there literally dripping with sweat.
When we looked at the menu, I was surprised at the limited dinner entrees (unless you’re after burgers and pizza - which did look good). My wife tried ordering the salmon but was told that they were sold out, which left her with a recommendation of pork chops or steak. I’m sure both would be great, but not really close to fish. Due to the limited menu, we decided to finish our happy hour fries and move elsewhere.
We may have ended up staying if there was more of an effort to make the night special because of the circumstances, but I’m sure they don’t need to because the place was packed! It was one of the more disappointing experiences we’ve had and am doubtful we will return for a while.
Always great service and people that work there. Food is good too. A little pricey but to be expected at a resort 75 breakfast for 2
Friendly staff and fast service. Nice view of the pond and lake
We had a great time! Look forward to next time. The food was excellent
I loved the chicken sandwich here. Our server was very personable and checked on us often.
Lovely experience. Excellent food and service. Recommend for special occasion
Limited, more basic menu than expected but good flavours. Reasonable price for a hotel restaurant. Nice location by the lake.
I appreciated the staff sticking to their strict COVID protocol and staying consistent with every guest. The staff was very friendly and our food was awesome! We were informed of happy-hour and were given great recommendations for both food and drink! Definitely would go back :)
