I take my 92 year old mother here quite often. They always accommodate us with a quiet table and the food is fabulous. Works for both foodies and the elderly.
I loved the menu, ambiance and food! We will be back!
Delicious, creative and innovative. Lots to choose from, reasonably priced and great atmosphere. Stopped in from a trip from NY to Boston. Highly recommend!
The filet mignon was not good quality/tough meat that seemed flayed.
The two person table was in doorway/hallway. Awful seating.
Over priced food and drink not worth the price.
I won't recommend or go back again.
Everything about this restaurant was great, food was excellent atmosphere was perfect and the style of the restaurant was beautiful.
The only problem I had was service, the waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable About the menu but lacked checking in us.
I will definitely return to Oak & Almond.
was disappointed that the squash ravioli with brown butter and sage had sugar or something very sweet on it. I wish that was conveyed on the menu. Also, the marscapone that was supposed to be on the ravioli was added to my husbands bolonese. Warning, the spicy red sauce is REALLY spicy.
Nice room, plenty to choose from on the menu, food was delicious, but burger came out medium well instead of medium rare, and pasta came out lukewarm, worth another try
Food was excellent. Wait staff was very attentive. Will definitely go back.
Always a great experience at Oak and Almond!
The food and service were terrific. Everything was tasty and quite delicious. I was pleased that the simple but well prepared fare was so good. One of the best salads I've had in a long time was the Kale with Hazelnuts and fennel and orange. The chicken was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Fantastic and fresh salads and brunch fare! Service was great, unobtrusive yet polite and laid back. No attitude when we had to wait for the rest of our party to join us at the table. Relaxing and chic atmosphere . Keep it up!
Dined for Easter brunch, my 4th time at the restaurant. The menu has not changed, and the food was lackluster. A bit disappointing as the restaurant has amazing ambience and service. Change up the menu to keep repeat customers excited.
Love the food and the place. We will come back again.
Awful hostess. They treat kids poorly here. Why request anything on Open Table when they don’t even read it? Will not be going back . So many other amazing restaurants out there!
Wish Restaurant would support local causes favored by diners who frequent their establishment. Although I like the restaurant, I prefer to support local establishments with the same civic commitments.
We shared two different flatbreads with left overs to take home. Creative and delicious
We love the atmosphere here. The food is dependably good. We can have a conversation without having to lip-read; this particular night we noticed music only occasionally, and when we did hear it, it was Vivaldi, at a low volume. We sat near the opened counter to the kitchen, so we felt the warmth of the ovens, but also the draft from the front door .
Very nice place, we sat by the fire place and had a very nice dinner with friends. The food was amazing, we had several appetizers and they were all very tasty specially the salmon tartare and the PEI Blue Lip Mussels. Dessert wasn't that good, we got the cheesecake and it was a little grainy. The overall experience was charming.
We had a family gathering with out of town guests and thought we would try the restaurant as we have only lived here a few months.
The location is good but having elderly guests the drop off entrance blocks the way in for everyone.
The food was great the service was abysmal. Then they went and automatically added 20% for a party of 6.
The table next to us had excellent service and it was frustrating to watch them have their order for drinks and refills taken while we were ignored.
I will not go back as I am afraid the service is a little poor for group dining.
Our birthday celebration was lots of fun.
Food was amazing, waitstaff was on point. Great experience overall, I would recommend it!
LOVE THIS PLACE! I took my mom here for her birthday this past weekend because this is our favorite brunch place around. They have bottomless mimosas for $10, they have a cute patio when its warmer out and the food won't break your wallet! The staff is always very friendly as well as professional, the food comes out at a reasonable time, no complaints!! I personally like their brunch more due too more vegetarian options/cheaper/less crowded but I had their ravioli there a few times which was amazing - for pictures I have posted some on my food account on instagram @baddiefoodee, cannot recommend this place enough!
A great location that has had mixed success with owners, hopefully Oak and Almond will be here for the long haul. Featuring farm-to-table cuisine, Oak and Almond has a nice variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts with something to satisfy everyone in your party. This is now one of our family's favorite dining options.
Delicious brunch! So many good options and not to mention bottomless mimosas! My guests were delighted because it was their first visit there. They loved how fresh everything was and how tasty everything was. We had salads: Caesar, farm, and burrata. For entrees: frittata, salmon, and fried chicken sandwich. The best!
Service was great, really good wine and enjoyable cheese platter. Apps and entrees were inconsistent. Burrata app was fair and flatbread was over salted, inedible. The short rib risotto was tasteless. The fettuccine alla norcina was overloaded with sausage in one servicing and sparse in another. Both dishes had too much truffle cream and the mushrooms were undercooked. The burger was fine but too thick and fell apart easily. Lastly, the white and dark chocolate mouse in the cake was awesome but the chocolate cake itself was dry and gritty.
Went with a friend for restaurant week!!! Great menu choices and worth 35.00!!!
Very fresh food. Absolutely delicious.
Food was fantastic. Very fresh and flavorful. The wait staff was a bit uncoordinated. For example, we asked for more bread and the busboy came and took our bread plates away. Otherwise a wonderful, accommodating experience. I was there with my 86 yr old aunt. They kindly seated us in a quiet area.
My new favorite brunch... food was great and our server was awesome! Can't wait to go back for dinner!
This is one of our favorites and every menu item doesn’t disappoint
Our 2nd visit (in 2 days!) was just as impressive as our 1st lunch. Calamari cooked perfectly, great starter. Waiter very patient with us and allowed us to enjoy appetizer before ordering dinner. Clams and linguini prepared just the way the diner requested, without the spiciness as listed on the menu. Fish special of the evening cooked to perfection with the crispiest outer layer...so delicious and nicely presented. Took home a doggie bag to save room for dessert. Wish we lived closer to frequent this restaurant more often, but will definitely be back on our next trip through Norwalk.
Very impressed with our first visit to this restaurant. Wanted to try it before our dinner reservation the following night as we had not been here before and are very glad we tried it for lunch. Very nice lunch menu with lots of variety and all fresh, local ingredients. Beet and carrot salad absolutely delicious as was the bread and butter brought to the table. Portion just the right size to share and were pleased that the salad was split for us and served individually. Also shared the mushroom pizza...one of the best oven fired pizzas we've ever tasted. Loved the fontina cheese used-nice and mild. Portion just the right size for sharing. Left room to try the yummy chocolate chip cookie which was served warm and tasted fresh-baked! Only concession was that we didn't have it topped with gelato! Service was outstanding, not rushed but just the right amount of attentiveness, and we thoroughly enjoyed over an hour and a half lunch. Very excited to be returning for dinner the next night.
Love their food! Everything is always delicious! And I love how they can easily accommodate for food sensitivities. Would love to see gluten-free bread added to the menu, and a gluten-free and dairy-free dessert as well (other than sorbet), but other than that, this is my favorite local, farm-to-table (and all around!) restaurant.
Always a great meal coupled with wonderful employees. 👍🏻👍🏻
Oak and Almond never disappoints. Food, beverage and service is consistently great.
Oak and Almond is always good. I can't believe this gem is hidden next to the Dept. of Motor Vehicles! I always enjoy going there. Last night (Valentine's Day Celebration), we enjoyed the salmon tartar, the flatbreads and good pours of wine that are incredibly reasonably priced!
The food was delicious with interesting combination of farm fresh ingredients. There were also a good selection of vegetarian options. It was surprisingly crowded on a Monday night so it was a bit noisy. Would go back.
My husband and I went here because we got a gift certificate for Christmas and we were pleasantly surprised how great this restaurant is! The farm to table food was delicious and many great options to choose from. I had the crispy chicken with vegetables and my husband had the grass fed hamburger and we shared the mac and cheese. All were super tasty! Then we had dessert which was amazing as well! Plus they have their own home made bread that you get when you sit down and it was one of the best breads Ive had, plus they sell a whole loaf for only $6!!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will for sure be going back again real soon!
Excellent cuisine at very reasonable prices. Beautiful interior. Patio seating when warm. Awesome
Pasta came out under cooked. They decide to clean the cappuccino machine at 9:00 on a Saturday night so I wasn’t able to have it with my dessert as ordered. Service was not very attentive.
