Oak and Almond
With cuisine inspired by the traditions & techniques of yesteryear, our philosophy is simple: provide delicious handcrafted food, created with well sourced seasonal ingredients with a focus on hearth & flame, Organic Farm to Table. We source the best artesian ingredients and prepare them simply with respect. The wine program highlights biodynamic and organic selections, which compliment the simple integrity of our menu.
An 18 foot communal table, crafted from local 100 year old oak floorboards anchors the dining room. Hand-rubbed walnut tables, industrial fixtures, and an open kitchen featuring a wood burning oven and stove provide a modern yet warm dining experience.
It was nice but our lovely waitress had way too many tables to handle on her own. Could have been a terrific experience but the service and wait times were problematic
Had an amazing dinner and will absolutely return again!
This might have been one of the best dinners I’ve ever had. P.E.I. Mussels were so good. Pasta was so fresh, short rib required no knife whatsoever. And the bread with sweet butter was amazing. Just a great place with a menu were you couldn’t go wrong.
Everyone in my family enjoyed their dinner from Oak and Almond! There were several specials to choose from in addition to the main menu and the server was very knowledgeable. My only complaint is the flies that seemed to be hanging out in the corner we were sitting in.
The burrata was amazing! Love the vibe. My go to place every time I am in town.
This has been my second time dinning here and the food, service and ambiance is terrific. I will definitely be back again.
I made a 5:30 reservation for a Saturday night , we got there at the perfect time not too busy at all. Our waiter was Ramon, he recited a list of about 6 different specials for the day and checked on us frequently throughout the night. The food was well worth the price and the service was excellent , would def recommend!
Sold out of the ravioli dish I wanted to order at 7:30 on a Saturday?
Food and ambiance was very good. This was our second visit in the last few months and it is becoming a favorite.
Good food. Loved the flat bread and chicken wings
Slow service, good didn’t come out all at once, forgot one plate, colleague had to get up from table twice to address the situation.
Oak and Almond was a great find. The food was delicious along with a nice wine list. The portions were perfect, not too much and not too little. I will definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu.
This was our second visit to the restaurant. On our earlier visit on a very busy Saturday night our food came out with a good pace and everything was delicious. On this night there were several problems with dishes not being available, and we were at the restaurant fairly early, so there was little excuse to run out of specials. But it happened to my wife, twice, and so our dinner was extremely delayed. The flavors were good, nothing came out of the kitchen wrong or cold, but there was a lack of cohesiveness that we found the last time. It's not enough to stop us from returning, but it won't be as quickly as we would have done if we'd had a great experience again.
Terrific food and service. One of our favorite local places.
Meeting place for old friends
Passing through CT on vacation and found this gem. Excellent food and nice decor.
I would recommend this place but I was very disappointed this time around. Our waiter was very busy and didn’t come to check on us often enough. The chicken was cooked until dry and my well done burger was also dry. The drinks were nice and strong to help though!!
Love this place. Everything is outstanding. Service is always great- never had a bad experience.
Great outdoor dining patio. Short ribs were excellent while the prosciutto wrapped monkfish was terribly under seasoned. Our server was very nice but was overwhelmed and it made service terribly slow.
Everything ordered was excellent, as was service. Good value.
The service is always terrific. I love the food as well.
Had to ask for our server a few times before anyone came over to take our order. Was probably 30 minutes before we ordered any food. Lamb burger was way over cooked despite ordering it rare. Burrata was good but vinegar and raisins that accompanied it were an odd pairing. Carrot and beet salad was fine - nothing special. Braised greens were good. Salmon tartare was just ok.
The lobster cobb salad special was amazing and should be added to the regular menu! That was worth coming back for. The salmon was very good. The prime rib was not very good, my husband was disappointed and did not enjoy it at all.
We made a reservation for Father’s Day to treat my husband to a special lunch.
Ramon was our server.
By far the best service we have received ever.
Glasses refilled throughout our meal.
Touched up in our table.
Made us aware of specials being offered.
Great Father’s Day. Food was amazing service was the best six at table gave 9 out of 10
Lovely brunch as always! We also bought a loaf of their homemade bread- delicious!
Unfortunately disappointing this time. My burger was well done when I ordered it medium, my fries were soggy. I returned those & got the salmon tartare app, is was too full of a weird mayo. The waitress was great though, took care best she could & it’s always a lovely atmosphere. I’ll stick with pizza next time.
Awesome dinner and great service!
Food was good. Service was good. There was a party going on in the big room and the noise
level made it hard to have a conversation.
Great food, service, bar and patio.
I’ve been here for lunch and it was a good experience. Dinner was very disappointing. The octopus was tough, the red snapper was dry, and it was so dark, I couldn’t even see my entree!
Excellent service wonderful food
Great place for a business lunch. Everything is good, but I love their chicken salad sandwich! Probably the best I have ever eaten.
Amazing quality in food selection. It felt like a farm to table experience that was not pretentious. The Little Gem Caesar is my fav and my bolognese was out of this world.
The only complaint I have is the cocktail. I ordered a Ketel One Cosmo. It came in those old tiny champagne glasses from 50 years ago. 3 sips - maybe. Please, use a martini glass (21st century). Also, to bartenders - RIPE cold-pressed juices for mixers. The best👌
We had a wonderful dining experience!! The food was excellent and the service was attentive and friendly. Would love to return!
Great food and service in a lovely setting. It was priced so well we returned the next night!
Mother’s Day. Terrific. Our server was incredible. We will hopefully have him again upon our return. The price point was fine except for eggs and home fries should be priced a lot lower. There was nothing incredible about eggs sunny side up and overly large chunky home fries. Great place for a meeting and for a special occasion. See you soon.
We enjoyed Mother's Day brunch. There were only 2 of us, but they were kind enough to seat us at a table for 6 because that is all that was available. Our server was exceptional (Danny?). He was very friendly, saw to every need even before we thought of it. Thank you for a lovely experience!
