Beautiful dining room. Delicious food. Great cocktail choices. Very fresh fish. Our server, Cliff was wonderful, attentive, & not overbearing. One star deducted for noise level. If ur looking for cheap eats, this is not it. U get what u pay for. We shared shishito peppers, west st wings. Ordered miso soup, CAB hangar steak entree, hamachi & scallop sashimi, spicy tuna crunch roll. Both ordered the Shogun cocktail, a perfect compliment to our meal. All so delish, cant wait to return to try more menu items.

We went for our anniversary on a Monday evening and it was our first visit. The decor is nice although it is a little loud if you expect to have any quiet conversation. Xinh was our server and she was wonderful - very friendly, informative about the menu and attentive. The food was delicious, notably the O-Ku Shrimp and the Mont Blanc Cake. I’m sure we will return!

Food is always well prepared and delicious, never had a bad food experience. The nigiri signature flight is always a must, they maintain their quality every single time. The dumplings as an appetizer hit the spot! Service was extremely slow, almost an hour to get our drinks and only when we asked about them. It was pretty busy so it’s understandable but our plates stacked very quickly, with having 5 guests, one side of the table was dedicated to piling our plates on. Staff was extremely friendly and great. Expect a high bill.

The food was fresh and delicious, our server was attentive and personable. Loved the decor, but the dining experience was ruined by the extremely LOUD music, which compared to a night club. It was difficult to have a conversation without yelling across the table. Unfortunately, I will not be back. I can find amazing food and service elsewhere without having to sacrifice my time and conversations with my friends and family. (I asked the server about the music and he said that he would talk to his manager and see what he could do…the volume never went down, so I guess that’s the vibe they want).

Took our friends who recently moved into town - big sushi lovers. They said it is the best sushi they have had in Raleigh! Server was lovely. Only complaint is that it was pretty noisy in the restaurant when we arrived - a few big tables - nothing that interfered with our enjoyment though.

We reserved a table for our anniversary dinner, and had a perfect experience. Our waiter was quick, polite and informative. Out water glasses were never empty, and he made great recommendations. The atmosphere was a perfect match to the high quality food, and the best miso soup I have had in a long time. We will be back soon.

We went right at 5 so it was much quieter than when we left around 6:30. Everything we ordered was amazing. Not one thing that came to the table wasn’t delicious!! Favorite by far: the Akita roll closely followed by the salmon appetizer in ponzu. We got 5 rolls and an appetizer to split between the two of us and we both left full. Incredible experience!

Delicious food. We ordered a bunch of apps at the happy hour prices so we could try a bunch of different dishes. The server was helpful in explaining the flavors and portions before I ordered. The place is well decorated. The only reasons I didn’t give them 5 stars for ambience is because it is a very open room and so it doesn’t feel intimate. We were celebrating a birthday so they gave us a free dessert and Prosecco. So delicious. So sweet. They even lit a candle and placed it on top of the dessert.

This was my second time here within a short period of time. We went back with our kids to celebrate a birthday because the food and service were exceptional. This time the food was still terrific, but the service was not at the standard I expected. We had to consistently pile dishes on our table to have them taken away; we were never offered anything for our water (unlike last time where the server brought cucumber and lemons). The server was nice but wasn’t nearly at the level of the one last time.

Waiter gave us the best experience I've ever had in a restaurant. He was attentive, fast, and friendly. Took his time to cater to the gluten free restrictions we had in our party. The food was out of this world good. If you're ever in the area, definitely check O-Ku out.
