Portions are getting smaller and smaller. Service is okay.
Get the Playboy Roll. It was amazing.
It was our anniversary, the experience was okay. The food was not the best we had ever had. We’ve had better. The waitress was really nice, but failed to tell us that they were charging us for substitutions due to allergies. I would have just ordered something different! She did give us two free flutes of champagne for our anniversary. Our drinks were amazing!!! Would go back for drinks but not for dinner.
The food was tasty. The service was good. The price did not match the portón size. We paid $130 for two people and then went somewhere else for ‘dinner’.
Everything was amazing. Food was fantastic. Drinks delicious. Service was first rate.
It was a wonderful night from beginning to end.
Alyssa was absolutely amazing and made sure everything went well the entire night.
We need more staff like Alyssa.
We love O’ku!
Everything about the restaurant and our meal was fantastic.
Great food, below average service. Went on a Tuesday night just two of us and we’re not very attentive. One of the vents on roof was leaking on me, they offered to move us and I apologized and they said it’s ok, they probably should have been the ones apologizing - but very good food.
Love the atmosphere and the people there. Food is very high quality and it comes with a good price. I enjoyed my time
Our server was extremely slow. It was painful. It took over 30 minutes just to get our first round of drinks, it took 45 minutes to order our food. Her service was so slow that every time she brought our table drinks we went ahead and ordered the next round because we knew it was going to take so long. The interesting thing is it took 45 minutes to place our order but then our food came out so fast that the entire experience was done and over with in an hour and a half. I would go back but I would make sure I didn’t have the same waitress.
food portion got visibly smaller, we have ordered sushi
Literally the best sushi we have ever had! They have a truffle ponzu that is amazing. We didn’t use soy sauce on anything after trying it! Great service and great food!
Great food ! Very knowledgeable server ! She was awesome and very accommodating to my food allergies !
The foods and cocktails was excellent.
Wonderful food and menu, good prices. A little loud and the lighting made it tough for older people to read the menu. But, overall a great experience.
Overall good. Sushi is fresh. One suggestion: don’t wrap your fresh and delicate uni with cucumber…the cucumber overwhelms the taste of the uni.
We had a wonderful birthday dinner! It was my nieces first time there and our server recommended the best food and was so attentive!
Told them it was our anniversary and got a free sherbet. Really great quality food.
Great and very underrated restaurant! My partner and I came here for our anniversary and they gave us a small complimentary dish. The fish was very high quality and everything we got was so delicious from the rolls to the sashimi to the drinks!
Great food! Amazjng vibe.
Food was not as fresh and well presented as we’ve had at other Oku locations. The team seemed to be going through the motions and not focused on a great guest experience. Disappointing. Unlikely to return when there are so many great options in Charleston
Food was great. Recommend the black magic and surf and turf rolls
Wonderful experience! Our new date night spot!
When we went there it was right when O-Ku opened and there was anywhere from 3-6 workers standing around doing nothing but talking the entire time we were there and yet our service was still terrible. At the end of our meal, when we were finished, we had to wait at least another 10 minutes for our check because our waitress was of to the side sitting down on her phone checking her Snapchat. Very poor service.
Always love O-Ku! It never disappoints. Potato roll is my favorite!
All of the food was great, but the standout for my wife and i was the Lobster Toban Yaki. The server brings your own individual small ceramic Japanese cooking dish with a ceramic plate on top. We seared our precooked lobster and mushroom with truffle garlic butter and it was delicious. We would definitely dine at O-Ku again.
Awesome food and atmosphere. Great experience
We enjoyed the ambiance. Tried some rolls...average but tasty. We would like to return to try more dishes. The saki and coffee cocktail were excellent! We are used to friendlier service however. Menu might be a bit overpriced. Good choice overall.
Excellent cuts of fish.
Our waiter was outstanding!
Great food-amazing service. We had a wonderful night out!! Thank you!!!
Delicious food, great service!
Great food, great service. Our waitress made excellent menu recommendations and when she found out it was our anniversary they surprised us with glasses of champagne.
Went to this restaurant on my honeymoon. Ordered some drinks at the bar, went to a table, ordered two rolls of sushi, the shrimp tempura, and the teriyaki wings. everything was excellent! Wonderful service!
Disappointing. Food is ok but way overpriced and service is awful. You can tell a lot of diners there are treating this like a big night out and I just feel bad for them because the place does not rise to the occasion. Only went because we had gift certificate.
Great food, great service, great ambience, will go again.
Great food and service!
We love O-Ku- favorite date night spot. The potato roll is the best.
Phenomenal food. One of my favorite restaurants in Charleston.
