The Black Magic Box Sushi, the Uni Spoons, and the Nigiri Flight were absolutely incredible.
Great food and decent pricing on 1/2 off night. Service is very polite however often slow. Other than that a great place to have a group dinner! Stay munchin!
Every time we come to Charleston we have to go to O Ku. Have never been disappointed with the food or service. Quality all the way around.

As usual, everything is excellent from the food to the service. The sushi is hands down the best in Charleston. They are very accommodating with food allergies. I am allergic to onions and garlic and they were able to modify the order to exclude those.
Appetizers were amazing Had special dumplings and vegetarian spring rolls. Tuna Tataki roll was amazing. Really enjoyed the sweet tea.
O-Ku is always amazing. Freshest sushi, great atmosphere, and the friendliest staff. I've enjoyed O-Ku now for 7 years. Remains one of our favorites. Can't beat Monday, Wednesday, and Friday happy hours.

I took friends from out of town here and was sorely disappointed. This place needs LIGHT! It is so dark in there you have to use your phone to read menu. I personally do not like eating food I can’t see. The wait on food was WAAAYYYY too long! We sat woth empty plates on our table literally 10 min. Finally menu is limited. They did offer to make me unagi (eel) which isn’t on menu so I thought how great! They brought me 6 small rolls for 12$. Seriously? Harris Teeter gives you 9 pieces for less than that and the difference was MINIMAL! I would not go back here really for anything. 🤷🏽♀️ Sorry but Fuji in Mount Pleasant way better for ambiance, flavor and price.

The Omakase experience was absolutely amazing. It's like we flew to heaven and stayed there for the time being. Best Japanese sushi spot in Charleston. Thank you Colton for recommending the A5 wagyu beef with a side of raw quail egg as a dipping sauce. It was an out of the world experience.

We eat at O-Ku at least twice a month. It's definitely the best sushi in town. It's just so fresh tasting. The drinks are good as well and I highly recommend the chocolate bliss dessert.

We made reservations at 5 on a Friday. I gave the overall experience 4 stars because out of the twenty empty tables, we were seated all the way in the back in a two person table by a computer where servers enter orders. The other tables were not occupied the entire time we dined. Why not put us in a better location? It was not a great seat. I also asked the waitress about a drink and she said she didn’t know, she was just filling in. It took awhile to get a drink but once we were acknowledged things moved pretty quickly. The food was great and the happy hour is awesome! I would come back but request specific seating next time!

Best sushi/sashimi I ever had. Drinks were creative and delicious and service was excellent. Noise level high, but I’m an older woman who prefers quiet dinner. Still, I will be back! Love the decor too!
