The food and atmosphere were fantastic but our favorite part was the service! Sam walked us through the vegan options on the menu, was super patient and great the whole night. Lara and Alyssa were so helpful, sweet, and attentive. We loved them all so much!! Will be back just for them!

We’ve been going to O-ku on and off for date/wedding anniversary dinners since my wife and I met 9 years ago. We’ve been lucky to be in the area when each new location opens up but the Charleston location has a special place in our hearts. As always the food and staff were great. The tuna tataki roll is a must get.

Alexis was one of the best servers I have ever had in my life. The food was fantastic and a full meal and drinks for two was extremely affordable considering the quality and location. Highly recommend for a date night.

The salmon lemon sushi and A-5 Wagyu were amazing along with our drinks. I also loved the ambience and the decor in the restaurant. The only thing to note is the service wasn’t that great. The waitress didn’t write our order down and ended up forgetting our appetizer and the side dish in our order, but the food was so good it made up for it.

Honestly the service was just okay. Wasn’t too crowded. Server took our order and didn’t write it down and missed one of our items. And she spent more time at the next table with another server talking to the guys at that table. Didn’t bother us that much but a bit disappointing.

This place changed interior wise. Which isn’t totally a bad thing—but it was way to lit up. It used to have a darker ambience and romantic feel. Server was great. However this place doesn’t utilize cream cheese in ingredients so they don’t have anything like a Philly roll which is largely disappointing. I think if the owner added cream cheese as an option, he would see sales go up since a lot of people like Philly rolls and not everybody wants to get super fancy exploring your menu. Just a thought since I would personally visit more often if it was an option.

Server was not very friendly, especially when we said we were not ordering and alcohol. She got an attitude. Wife and I. It’s ordered a salad and never got it. I did t say anything cause I didn’t want to deal with server attitude. Definitely way overpriced. Nice place but food not worth it.

We always have enjoyed and visit every time we’re in Charleston, which is a lot, because our daughter goes to college there. However, this past visit was not up to par to usual experiences. Server was sweet, but new and made several mistakes. It was only her second day. Management should have had her shadowing another server since she was so new. Management did apologize for the mishaps.
