O-Ku - Atlanta
I love O-Ku. Definitely my favorite sushi spot in Atlanta. Sucks the rooftop view of Atlanta will soon be obscured by high rise apt buildings. *sad face emoji
Terrible terrible service. The food may have been good we just didn't stay long enough to find out. After waiting inordinate time for our table and food, un-welcomed by a very rude hostess, we lay some money on the table and cut our losses.
Amazing Experience! I got every weekend. Everyone is friendly from the valet, the the hostess to the Waiter. I would recommend this restaurant for best sushi in Atlanta!
Some of the best sushi of my life! The fresh wasabi is a MUST!
Flawless experience. Everything was amazing. Very fresh fish, reasonably priced, and absolutely delicious. 10/10 would recommend!
Birthday celebration. Very cool place. Good sushi.
Good food but extremely slow service.
Have been to O-Ku several times, and it never disappoints!
Very average experience. Food was OK, but added up quickly. Pay a lot for single pieces. Valet seemed unnecessary on a week night and was very slow.
My husband’s bday
Our server was the best!
great first date spot, would recommend the 5 course option. very expensive but very delicious, the chef came to our table talk to us and introduce himself. overall 10/10 would recommend if you’re trying to make a good impression on a first date !
O-Ku is probably my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. The food is almost supernaturally good—and the attentiveness and intuitive style of the service is world class. Jack, our server, really knows his stuff. Warning: you will put away a shocking amount of food... and it will be worth it!
Quality of sushi was outstanding! Our server was friendly and helpful at guiding us through the menu. Rock Shrimp appetizer was our favorite!
I’ve been O-Ku several times and all of the times have been good. However, this last time the service was below par. We got our drinks, but never saw our waiter for another 40 minutes. Don’t know the reason. We saw others having their orders taken and even getting their food even before our order was taken. I don’t care what kind of excuse it is, that’s totally unacceptable. Makes me think twice about going back. The only thing that make me want to go back is the food. I would say it’s one of the better place in Atlanta to get good sushi.
Exceptional! We love eating here!!!
Best sushi I’ve ever had. Always super fresh and the customer service is top notch as well. I couldn’t recommend this place more!
We splurged for the Omakase (which is $100 per person) and it was amazing! Our server thoughtfully asked us if there was anything we didn't like, so he could tell the chef and they were able to substitute or switch plates if needed. One of the plates of sashimi had salmon with truffle oil (!)– a combo I had never even dreamt was possible.
So delicious! Service was amazing & sushi was very fresh.
Amazing restaurant. Food is fabulous. Service is wonderful. Always accommodating to my kids & I.
Will absolutely be back... The atmosphere was lovely and a perfect setting for a chill girl's night out.
Ok used to be one of my FAVORITE sushi places that I would compare even to Umi. After this last experience, I believe the service and quality of food has gone downhill. I've had better sushi at takeout sushi places. My rolls fish even tasted like it had been previously frozen. We also ordered the "balling" pice, which is $16 a piece and they had no truffle on it. Our waiter for got our drinks, but did give them on the house since we were almost finished with dinner when they arrived. I'm not sure I will come back to Oku.
Was expecting an amazing dining experience. We ordered the chefs choice. The food was unremarkable and the sauces were the same for almost every course. The sushi was okay and the appetizers were not that delicious.
We sorely disappointed and will not return. Our waitress was lovely but she could not make up for the food.
I’m not an avid sushi fan, so I’m not the best judge of sushi. However, I was less than impressed with the food here. I didn’t like the house salad (the ginger was way too strong IMO) or the sushi rolls (one tasted like they had used Rice Krispies in it). Bright spot...the drinks were delicious. The service was kind but SO SLOW. Our waiter looked either very confused or very frustrated. It took close to three hours to eat here and we waited about 30 minutes after the food was gone to check out. We went to Umi two years ago. I’m more likely to visit it again. This wasn’t worth the effort.
Rolls are small and they ran out of miso soup. That’s was disappointing. I honestly expected the food to taste better. The ambiance was better than my food.
Great sushi. Probably best I’ve had in Atlanta. Pricey though.
Everything was perfect and the service was outstanding! The food was amazing and the experience over all was Seamless.
I always thoroughly love my dining experience here! The host down quickly and politely and my usual server Wilson came by to get my experience started. He let me know he was going home but assured me my server Jack would take great care of me.
They remembered my order from before and already prepared the food and cocktail which I thought was so considerate of them!
I love dining here. Every time I am always treated so well and leave super happy. Thank you to Jack, Wilson, and Minjee for such a great night!
New menu, new chef. Great service, excellent food and drinks. Really enjoyable! I was notified about specials as well, which i'm excited to come back and try
I always love O-Ku its consistently good.
The appetizers were had were fantastic, but that wasn't the reason we went. The sushi was average at best. Our first order arrived quick! After we finished that we ordered two more rolls but waited 48 minutes before they arrived out. No one came to the table to say anything for 35 minutes. Once we caught the waiters attention he told us that because of happy hour, they were running behind in the kitchen. We didn't complain. They provided us a free appetizer, which was really nice and unexpected. Service overall seemed inconsistent. When we arrived it was empty and we were only there with two other people. It did pick up but the person I came with was a frequent visitor and was upset they didn't give us fruit with our water or fold her napkin when she was gone. Per her, we were really getting a sub-par experience. It was a gift certificate from her to me, so she was disappointed that her referral was falling flat.
The setting is nice and dark -we were looking for this-. The food was good and delish once it actually came out. This is my only complain, the dishes would come at random and sometimes after a long while. It took so long at times that we kept ordering more food thinking we didn’t as we were very hungry. At the end, we ordered so much they even missed some of the items, yet they try to charge us for them. The drinks were very good, no hot sake though.
We had hesitation about going back because our first experience was not good. The restaurant itself was good but the valet was downright rude and soured the whole experience. But this time was a great experience. The food was good. Our waiter was excellent. All in all a good night.
Wonderful service and wonderful food!
Our new sushi go-to place. Quality is excellent.
The food presentation was fantastic and the sashimi spot on. The Chilean Uni was amazing! But the Lobster hand roll became one of my new favorites.
Always amazing and we played roulette with the menu and allowed the server to pick our courses. Creme de la creme is a must.
Great service, vibe, and food. Will definitely come back when they offer Half price rolls on Mondays
Everything was good, decently priced, waitress was very knowledgeable
Quality Asian food with a great wine list. The tuna appetizer was amazing. Modern and fun scene!
Excellent service and ambiance. Will definitely return.
