O GOURMET FRENCH BISTRO
One of the best ribeye steaks I have had in a long time. Chef does it right!
Our Dinner was delicious the steaks were cooked perfectly and loved the escargot. The entertainment was the Waite staff singing show tunes. Including the owner chef Olivia. We had the best experience overall. If you thought you were getting a romantic quiet dinner for 2. Well nope! Everyone talks to everyone and they make you feel like family. We loved it and will will be back and bring friends.
I really wanted to like this place, but... I love all things French. The server was great, the decor was kitschy but had a certain appeal. The menu was interesting, but unfortunately the food didn't measure up, and it wasn't inexpensive. The night we were there some staff members entertained. Well meaning, but missed the mark. I hope they can get it together, I'd love a French bistro in Stuart. Will try again, hope to recommend next time.
Great food, expertly prepared with wonderful ambiance
Very nice experience, great food, great service. A fine dining experience.
What a cute restaurant. Food was good and the service was excellent.
Amazing all around!
We were there to celebrate my husbands birthday. Our first time there. We started with the foie gras, my husband had the duck confit and I had the veal scallopini and finished with the chocolate mousse. All delicious. Expensive but it was a special occasion
It was an awesome experience and I look forward to visiting again soon!
Stay away from the specials with no illustrated prices. This restaurant has no business selling entrées at $75 a plate. Quality is nowhere near what one would expect at that price. Restaurant smells musty and is something management could quite easily resolve
It was absolutely amazing! Our best dining experience in Stuart! You must go especially when there is live music!
I am French and would like you to succeed,. The restaurant is small but quaint and very pleasant. Service was good (not great) but friendly. Prices are rather high, $13 for escargots if fine $12 for a side of fries is ridiculous. My wife’s and one of our guest selected the boeuf bourguignon, there were but 3 small pieces of meat in the plate, pasta in it was not very good and one wonder why there were potatoes mixed with the pasta, the dish was priced at $34 ( price is fine if there is a larger portion of food) dish should be served in individual crockpots. Wine selection is fine if somewhat pricey as well. All in all you have a lot of potential to be successful in a difficult area (Treasure Coast). but you need to make some changes. Bonne chance...
I really love the brunch there as you have both salty and sweet
The food was excellent and this is a great addition to Stuart's restaurant options. The food, menu and the ambience was just like a French bistro in France .
Very good food, unfortunately the restaurant has a "moldy" smell that needs to be addressed.
It was very hot and the front of the house smelled like sewage. The food was just ok, nothing spectacular and I felt the food was very expensive for what it was. However the wine wasn’t badly priced. Our server was very lovely and attentive.
Fun decor! Try and count the number of chandeliers! FRENCH music playing. Endive salad was a good size with lots of blue cheese. Mussels were fantastic...prepared with orange, a nice twist.
There were seven of us for lunch. Everyone enjoyed the sweet atmosphere and the service was excellent. Two who had the chicken sandwich found it needed some kind of sauce as it was a little dry. The rest of us who had salads, sandwiches, etc. were very pleased with the food.
The delightful restaurant was a great choice. The menu was creative, the food delicious and the service wonderful. Can’t wait to go again.
This is a beautiful restaurant! My wife and I had lunch here last week and loved everything about the place! Can’t wait to go for dinner!
Quaint setting, very good French cuisine. A pleasant change from the typical menus.
Definitely planning to visit again soon.
My husband and I had such a wonderful dining experience last night at O Gourmet French Bistro. Great ambiance, outstanding food, wine and amazing service. It’s such a treasure to have Chef Olivia share all of her culinary talents with us in our quaint town here in Stuart. Can’t wait to go back! Thank you Chef O!
The first Whiff of the scallops was horrendous; therefore multiple lemons were required. Unminced Tarragon in one entree was choking hazard. Tarte Tatin desert unworthy also, as apples were incinerated.
Onion soup was nothing special. None of the entrees were considered having a gourmet presentation nor taste.
Often we give a restaurant a second chance, but not this establishment. Exception to explanations offering French wine only by Wait Staff -- no alternatives to French wine; however, served on German dishes, served Belgium beer and admitted using American butter.
Best parts: wait person, raisin bread, chanteuse -- in that order.
Overall conclusion: new name is Bistro zero, vs. One Gourmet French Bistro
Four diners and none would return, as discussed after leaving.
Waiter seemed to not know what he was doing. Some of the food came out cold. Wine was good!
Dinner was super. The trout was the best I ever had and mine dining companions were as impressed with theirs. They accommodated a seating change, we added one, and were gracious about it. The service was super and the location is perfect. They had someone singing and it got a little loud. We will all be back.
We had a reservation and our drink order was not taken for about 40 minutes. Our server was not very versed in the menu but I think she was new. I had the short ribs which were excellent. My friend had the mustles which were amazing and definitely the best deal on the menu. My other friend had the scallops which compared to the other two dishes was kind of pathetic and not worth the money. We got the O fries and although I liked the sauce the fries were skimpy and not worth 12 dollars. Our dessert was real good loved the mousse and the pie. The chef came out to talk to customers but despite being the last people in the restaurant she completely snubbed us which I thought was super rude. I still recomend it and despite the kinks think there is potential for a great dining experience. I definitely look forward to going again in the future and seeing how they improve.
Our servers were extremely pleasant and helpful, timing our courses well. The food was very good, although some selections were quite rich. The chef accommodated my dairy allergy perfectly. The endive salad was delicious, even without the cheese. The restaurant is cozy and charming.
This is such a treat to go to and feel like you are actually in another country. The food is simply delightful and the service is spot on. The owner is proud of her culture and it shows. She truly gives you an authentic experience of being in France. I highly recommend her and her catering company as well.
I had chicken with risotto, husband had short ribs with ratatouille. Food was good but the presentation was not particularly appealing. We ordered a side of broccoli but have had much better elsewhere...and for less than $10. Had “award winning’ chocolate mousse for dessert. It was good but came in a ramekin that was plopped on the table between us. Overall disappointing, especially for the cost.
This restaurant was simply pitiful, the worst experience by far any of the four of us had ever had in our entire lives. None of us ate the food, which with only 1 glass of wine ordered, came to $186. When we arrived, the waiter announced two of the items on the menu were not available, unusual for a restaurant open only 1 week, and at 6:45P.M. No beer available; he said the French do not have beer. One of our party ordered mussels and frites. 10 minutes later a woman came to the table and said we have no frites! My husband said what, no frites. She said oh, frites are potatoes, we have no frites! He said I KNOW what frites are, I can't conceive of the fact you don't have them. The food was horrible, truly horrible. My fish was stone cold. One order beef bourguignon; it came in a large crock for one?? with no plate??? When she took the lid off you could see just a mass of glop, no sauce, no carrots or potatoes visible. It looked like nothing I've ever seen before. The restaurant is a joke. We were furious. Had to have a peanut butter sandwich when I got home.
Food is subpar. Having just spent two weeks in France, it does not even come close, sadly. Service needs help as well. Had hoped for much more.
They need more time to work out the kinks....food needs to be hot, cooked all the way (raw scallops, and have adequate seasonings....kind of bland.. 3 people, different meals all felt the same, blah
Delicious. Authentic. Friendly service A great new restaurant.
The food was good, ambiance ecclectic, funky. Seating not altogether comfortable, but ambieance pleasant. Chef Olivia is a dynamic, fun woman who is graciously sharing her culinary skills with those who go to enjoy the cusine. I would like to come back for dinner or Brunch.
Excellent FRENCH cuisine! Service was good. We hope O will be around a long time. I would suggest adding some lower priced bistro type items so that there is something for everyone!
Very quiet secluded French restaurant , 100% authentic cuisine & amazing staff.
I was there for brunch on a Saturday morning. The menu is wonderful and the food was delicious. The servers were very friendly and accommodating and we had a chance to meet the owner/chef. The dinner menu looked great and we will definitely go back to experience it.
Delicious food. Charming & attentive waiter. Interesting & creative decor.
