Food was absolutely amazing and the service was top notch! We will definitely do again! My wife had the market fish (corvina) with the curry sauce and I had the chicken with polenta. Both were excellent. The only critique I have is the ambience. The walls are painted all white and sound bounces off of everything since there is nothing to absorb the sound. You can also hear every word from tables in the same room as you. I could only imagine how loud it would be if every table was occupied. Simple things like tablecloths and upholstered seats would likely be a welcome update and might also help with the sound levels. If you are looking for really good food and great service, this is a great place, but if ambience is important, this might be a little awkward.

Steven Rojas and his team always treat us well. Nutwood is our go-to place for fine dining in Winter Haven.

It was are first time at Nutwood, we were served by Beth. Beth was very friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The food was great. I had the Pork Chop and it was perfect. The bread pudding was to die for. I highly recommend Nutwood.

We had a surprisingly wonderful experience. We were impressed with the menu, the food, the service and the atmosphere. I would Highly recommend this restaurant to anybody.

My partner and I have lived in NY and Miami and we are BIG foodies. Since moving to WH a year ago, Nutwood was on my "must try" list due to some of the raving reviews. I decided to try it out for a special date night and I was deeply discouraged. First and foremost, I had sent a message to the restaurant via Opentable to kindly sit us inside as we had an event after dinner and didn't want to arrive sweaty. No reply was ever rcvd. Although we were able to sit inside, this was something that should've been noted prior to our arrival. Second, we ordered the octopus. The octopus was sent back b/c it was lukewarm and lacked a little flavor. Our server had assured us that the octopus would be taken off the bill. It wasn't. Her reasoning for this was that the chef (Mr. Steven Rojas) had asked her if he had asked us if everything was ok when the food came out. Since we did not immediately complain, he felt this was enough cause to justify the charge. If this decision was made prior to him leaving the premises, he should've come to explain his reasoning in person. Instead, we weren't notified until the end of our dinner and he had already left. Lastly, we ordered a bottle of the super tuscan (which was delicious) but we were charged the incorrect bottle (which was of course more expensive). I noticed AFTER we had already paid, which led to the bank freezing the card for what they perceived to be fraud. We used a different card and now we have to wait a few days to see if the charges fall off. ALL OF THIS WAS PREVENTABLE. However, due to poor communication, negligent order entering and some NON-exemplary customer service, I will NOT be returning to dine here anytime soon. TO FUTURE PATRONS, make sure you review your bill AND if you are going to send anything back, make sure to stop enjoying any conversation with loved ones to immediately complain about sub par quality or you will most likely share the same experience we did.
