Overpriced
Arrived for our reservation and received warm welcome. We were seated at the bar until our table was ready while the master bar tender prepared some great drinks. Once at the table we ordered the burger as an appetizer, slice it in 4 and share. Then the feast with the tomahawk steak for $275 to share (30 oz). Simply perfect. The music starts and the party begins.
Now for the service. We saw the waiter when we ordered and then when we were done eating. I asked for some water when we were done twice. As if he doesn’t notice everyone’s glass is empty. It was 45 minutes sitting at the table waiting. We could have walked out the restaurant. I finally asked another waiter for our check and our waiter re-appeared. This was really the only negative nevertheless being ignored was not with a gratuity of $100 for doing nothing.
The menu is totally overpriced.
After seeing reviews, I went to Nusr-Et.
I made a reservation and arrived on time. They make you wait at the bar for 20 minutes minimum despite reservations. At the bar the glass of wine is minimum around $30 for basic Malbec. In any normal restaurant it is usually $12 for a similar wine.
The decor and ambiance is very good with a great DJ. After seating we received the menus and our waitress never came back. Another waiter or manager came at one point asking if somebody has brought us water, he saw something was wrong: Servicei was not satisfying and below other restaurants on our side.
The minimum for a steak is $80. Or you have to take a basic burger for less. I choose the steak at $80 which was really so so, small, nothing special at all, same thing you can get and cook better from a good butcher. I just come back from Kobe so I have a good sense of what is a good wagyu beef. Here, it is below average and just ridiculously overpriced.
Not impressed at all and a sense of waste of time/money. You feel you have been ripped-off few dollars for nothing. You leave spending $250 and still want to eat. I believe it would be an amazing restaurant if the pricing was corrected.
Perfect! I love it!
Excelente comida y ambiente
Nothing exciting
Amazing. Service was perfect. Food was delicious
Excessively expensive. Very unwelcome the pressure of the waiters to make you order very expensive dishes
Late dinner, sushi meat tasted “old”
-Burger and steak not cooked as ordered
-Poor service
-Food was rushed
-Has become too gimmicky and they added a gift shop.
-The restaurant is very cold and they offered blankets.Even some staff members had them on.
Comi y pase espectacular
The steaks are great the side dishes are ok and the prices are extremely high. The restaurants is great and the dessert has a great taste.
Rushed service
Overpriced
La comida no vale el precio. Mucho marketing, poco contenido
Birthday celebration
Muy buena la comida. Nos tardaron en dar la mesa a pesar de la reserva.
Es lamentable que aún con reservación te hagan esperar media hora. La comida es espectacular, pero el precio estratosferico.
The most overpriced steak I’ve ever eaten, not even worth it for the experience. £300 for two, including 2 beers and 1 small glass of wine. Don’t do it to yourself, so expensive. I had a steak at Meat Market in Lincoln Rd no different but very reasonable.
Amazing but a little expensive
Awesomee expensive but worth it
Es demasiado costoso para lo que es, la comida no tiene nada de especial no iria mas
Great burger
Too expensive
Loved the service and the main dish, the ottoman steak was cooked to perfection. My only complaint came with the beef tenderloin. We got such small amount for the high price.
Meat, ribs and 17oz steak, was amazing. Baklava was delicious.
4 star only because it is overpriced.
Lunch of hamburger special is very good deal
Para los amantes de las carnes, muy original y muy rico
Precio caro, me gusto mucho
Tooo over priced as other reviewers mentioned. the flavor was ok but what you get for the price, Please. a glass of wine $26.. for a micro serving on a gigantic glass. the food was very small portions. Excellent and friendly service have to admit. But $400 for a couples dinner with 1 beer and 2 wines.... $26 for desert. its all in the place, environment and catering to tourists..
I have been to Nusr-Et twice now and both experiences were memorable. Food, service and ambiance were exceptional in both cases. We noticed that the restaurant slowly fills up even on week days resulting in a vibrant ambiance.
The menu is not extensive by any means and features Turkish inspired steak and meat options. I would recommend the Carpaccio, Shashlik, Istanbul steak, croquettes and the Baklava flown in from Istanbul. The Baklava seemed to be a universally ordered desert. Every table nearby us finished their meal with the Baklava.
On our first visit, Mr. SaltBea himself was there and served our steak, what a treat!
From a quality perspective, everything was perfect on our first visit, however some dishes came out not at ideal temperature on the second visit, specifically the croquettes and "lokum" or thinly sliced tenderloin. I would highly recommend to the management to get these issues under control. Consistency is immensely critical in this industry and especially at such a "highly" rated establishment.
On the down side, I am from Southern California and found the prices on the high side. We dine at Capital Grille frequently and I would say the final check comes to double at Nusr-Et for a comparable experience.
Finally, I am looking forward to being able to visit a local LA Nusr-Et location sometime in not too distant future.
Amazing as always!
Absolutely
Very tasty food but steak was cold
Todo el servicio es muy bueno, la comida también, solo me pareció que los precios son excesivos.
The food was amazing like always
Service was horrible over priced and waiters where concerned about one thing making money not your experience.
Lleve a celebrar el cumpleaños de mi esposa
My guy and I came here for our anniversary and we loved every moment from the drinks to food to the dessert everything was impeccable and everything i imagined. I would say it’s a bit on the pricier side but it’s worth it the drinks are great food taste awesome and presentation and service was 100 % we had an amazing anniversary and would def be back again.
Terrible steak and the manager wouldn’t even come over To talk to us after spending $800 for three people
A pretentious train wreck. A tourist trap that is a combination of Benihana and fogo de chao.
I went there for a business dinner. The waiters were standoffish. They didn’t know the high end liqour and were argumentative about the food.
They forgot I was the customer and that they worked there
The best restaurant I ever eat in my life !
Everything was perfect !
