Staff were amazing! Food is amazing - thank you!!!
We enjoyed this restaurant! We were a group of 8 including some children. We had delicious thin crust pizzas, pastas, and a chicken dish, too. The lava cake is a great choice for dessert. We were celebrating two birthdays and the staff was terrific. They brought the desserts out with sparkly candles that delighted everyone, and the played a lively happy birthday song, too. Speaking of music, it was a bit loud, but also really good and fun to listen and chair dance to. The decor is warm and interesting; I especially liked the tables made of very thick wood. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. This is a nice place to get together with friends and celebrate...well, anything!
Numbering 28 doesn’t disappoint. There was a new server this time learning the rope and my girlfriend and I still had a great experience! Try the burrata! Yummy!
Great lunch at Numero 28 East Village. My salad was delicious. And the vegan pizza with kale and mushrooms was just amazing. I finished with the chocolate cake, which was also excellent. The service was terrific and the prices most reasonable. Wonderful dining choice in the East Village.
Good food. Terrible service.
I have been here many times but not in the past year. Overall I give them high marks. This time I had 2 minor issues. I didn’t think the pizza was as hot as it should have been when delivered the table. It was warm, not hot. My 2nd issue was re the music being played. I like jazz but felt everything about this place is Italian and the music should have been too! But don’t let this stop you from an enjoyable meal!
Took about 30 minutes to receive our appetizer and another 30 minutes for the entrees. Food wasn’t worth the wait or price. Very loud and crowded indoors. First and last visit there.
Pizza was amazing. Highly recommend the prosciutto pizza!!
Had a great time as usual here!
I had forgotten how DELICIOUS the pizza was at Numero28. I had a lunch date with two friends who lived in Manhattan and it was the perfect spot to get together - wonderfully spaced and clean per Covid regulations. Thank you Numero28!!!!
Came here for dinner on 2/1 (yes the day after a nor’easter hit Manhattan, I know) and had a great time. They have small heaters on the ground standing and three attached to the ceiling of a concealed “patio.” Pretty warm considering it was freezing outside. Pizza was still amazing as usual, we had half capricciosa and half reginelle. They’ve added liquor to their bar and recently started taking credit cards. This is one of my top two (the other is Kestè) pizza places in the city. Happy to support them!
Great food & service!
Amazing as always. Pizza is excellent! Wait staff friendly and bartender always take care of you. We love this place!
They should make it very clear that there is a mandatory prix fixe menu if you BYOB and only the $45 or $60 options are available fridays and Saturday’s. We ended up spending ore than expected but overall a good experience. The prosciutto pizza was amazing!
The manager was the rudest person. We had reservation for 7:00 pm and arrived at 6:36 , early. It was virtually empty. She examined her reservation list and saw my name and asked to see my phone for confirmation. Unfriendly and outright nasty. The three other people I was with didn’t even want to stay. She finally agreed to let us sit down at a table and then said we had to get up by 8:00. Seriously? You punish people for coming to your restaurant and act nasty and then tell them you have to leave your pizza place by 8:00? There are so many restaurants. Do you need to go to one where they are not gracious and happy to have you??
Amazing food amazing service
They used to have the best BYOB policy but they changed it. I miss the old way of doing it.
Servers were slow and brought out dishes in random order. Got one order wrong.
Great little pizza and pasta place. Warm, cozy and excellent food.
Outstanding pizza, delightful place, but try having a conversation across the table on a Friday night :)
I highly recommend this restaurant! The food and drinks were great! The wait staff was attentive and nice. The atmosphere was nicely decorated for Christmas and the lighting was dim. Will 1000% be back.
Best gluten free pizza in nyc
Numero 28 pizza is awesome! Ffamily size recommended for four people
We did not get seated until 10:15 for our 9:30 reservation. Management did not try to accommodate us or compensate us for our extended wait time.
Cash only or else there’s a surge charge. Waiters know exactly how much food to order for the table - trust them
The pizza here is AMAZING. It is pretty cramped and loud though. Fun place to go with groups.
I organized dinner for 8 people after work. We arrived at different times and I was delighted we weren’t told to wait until the entire party had arrived. That was just the start of a super dining experience. They accommodated one friend that was gluten-free while the rest of us devoured their signature thin crust pizza paired with a nice bottle of Italian wine. Highly recommended!
It was my daughter’s 19th birthday and it was perfect! Service and food were great!
Service was atrocious, we had an 8:00 PM Open Table reservation and they kept seating other parties while them claimed our table was getting ready. They were seating people who might have been regulars but it was hard to say as the place was loud, and the hostess had limited English skill Once we were seated it took twenty minutes for the waitress to appear, and then another twenty five minutes to get our appetizers, which were fried calamari, a rice ball and the meat ball. There after the two large pies we ordered (Large being two pizza's each feeding two people as we were a party of four) This took another half hour after our appetizers and when they arrived they were basically flavorless. Surprising because one was their "diavola" and the other was the Calabrese, and they should have both been flavorful given the ingredients. Unfortunately there were not, politely declined dessert and ran out as fast as we could to Venerio's around the corner for dessert. Very disappointed, not returning, so many better options in the area, starting with Joe and Pats on first Avenue and East 10th Street and Sauce down the block. Expected so much more from Numero 28 and it really disappointed.
The pizza is really the best there is — so fresh and crispy and flavorful and saucy in all the right ways. Love it !
Feels very Italian and authentic. Deeply appreciate .
Never disappointed! The pizza is always cooked to perfection. The staff is very friendly.
Always a great time. Pizza, pasta and appetizers are amazing.
Love, Love, Love this place! Best pizza around! I have never had a bad meal here! Wait staff friendly and accommodating. Drinks are great. This is my favorite place to eat pizza!
Excelente pizza excelentes ingredientes
Solo que no aceptan tarjeta de crédito
We were overcharged and when trying to fix the issue, we were ignored by the waitress and other staff. It was very disappointing and frustrating.
We had a party for 9 12 year olds and the staff was so accommodating and nice! Food is excellent as usual! An east Village gem!
Very nice (ambiance) place for this neighborhood. I was with kids (age 12-13) though and menu not as simple as it could be for a place serving pizzas. Pricey for what was served as well, but it was tasty. I would go here again with friends, but not with kids.
Amazing food, table was ready when we arrived, friendly staff
Amazing duo pizza, we ordered the truffle and parmaham, both sides were wonderful, price wise also very reasonable. Service and ambience are authentic Italian, will definitely return!
