Numero 28 Pizzeria & Bar - Forest Hills
Welcoming and accommodating staff. Terrific meals (pizza, pastas, salads) all around. Great spot before a show at the stadium.
I have been to the other locations in NYC and I believe that the large size pizza in the Manhattan locations are much larger than at Austin Street. This isn’t the first time I have noticed the size differences. The cheese isn’t as melted as it usually is as well.
Excellent stop, very convenient for a pre-concert meal before heading to Forest Hills Stadium.
Loved the dinner I had there with my family. We don’t usually go out much so it’s always special when we do, and the Numero 28 staff really made it great with the food and service. Has been one of my favorite places to eat anywhere for a while and it looks like its going to continue to be.
Made a reservation, arrived and restaurant was closed. Manage your Open Table system better in the future please.
The service and food were very good
Graduation I had a reservation and still had to wait 15 minutes the food was amazing definitely need to have dessert again the gelato was outstanding the crème brûlée though very lemony it was honestly unbearable to eat
Ordered a large pizza and got a very small pizza. Fettuccine was over cooked
Great food, server with nice and friendly, didn’t rush us.
The service was excellent. Numero 28 was compliant with NYS Covid-19 restrictions (all wait staff, etc. were wearing masks, both indoors and out). And the food was excellent! I would definitely go back and will recommend this restaurant to my friends.
The Cacio e pepe was delicious and the service always impeccable.
Must try The prosciutto and arugula pizza, it’s to die for
Food and ambiance were great. Service was excellent.
Having a reservation with open table and confirmed a person in charge was on the phone upon arrival Only 3 tables in the sidewalk with no heat He told me that they have no business with Open Table Also said that this is Open Table problem not from the restaurant
Last minute reservation, found this place on a limb, great experience, the heating lamps kept the surrounding area really warm even though we were outside, they also had inside seating available
Beat pizza in the neighborhood and great pasta too - but you definitely pay for the quality
My favorite pizza! Pasta dishes are excellent
Brunch options and food quality not good. Much better experience for dinner. The Pizza is great and the only thing worth it.
Sloooooooooooowest service I’ve ever had. 20+ minutes to get an order placed; two wrong salad deliveries and then the correct salad came after the pizza and pasta came out - there was no space on the table for it. The Cacio e pepe was oily and grainy. They need to improve their service.
Food is always amazing and the service is always top-notch. Favorite pizza in FH.
Nice spot, alittle ri
Sammy is the best. Good food and great service!
Good food, good atmosphere, excellent service! The wait was not bad and the waiter was very accommodating and friendly. Only problem you might encounter on busy days is parking. Hard to find parking around the area. Loved the tiramisu, he made it right in front of us which made the kids happy lol it was cute. Highly recommend!
We had the XL pizza and had various toppings on it - the prosciutto and arugula is our favorite! We also shared a pasta dish and that was delicious too! By far the best surprise was the citrusy crime brûlée! Who knew?
Carl our server was excellent.
Always a great option for Italian food, our favorite spot in forest Hills
Food was great- service not as good as the last time we were here. They were friendly but seemed a bit disorganized tonight.
It’s so incredibly overpriced and the food is good but nothing is worth spending 57 on pizza for a family of 5.
Can’t say enough about this place. The food is consistent and the pizza delicious. One of my favorite places in Forest Hills ❤️
Delicious food, excellent service! Will definitely go back.
A little loud for us (the volume of the music more than the people in the restaurant) but the food and service are fantastic.
Delicious brick oven pizzas, salads, entrees and more. Excellent service. Terrific jazz band on Thursday nights, just a little too loud for conversation. Overall a nice, casual neighborhood spot for Italian cuisine.
Amazing new restaurant...great service and even better food.... entire staff went out of their way to make sure everyone was having a great dining experience. Highly recommended!
Fabulous grilled vegetables with two pieces of grilled chicken. My table was ready and we were
seated immediately. Good service. The only thing negative was the basketball game on the tv.
We had a lovely dinner as always. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. A nice touch was the love music that evening. I highly recommend Numero 28.
Everything is always amazing. Great authentic Italian with professional service and nice atmosphere. Have been coming here since they opened and never disappointed.
The heat wasn’t working so it was rather cold, with an exception of one or two floor heaters that were blowing in one direction. Don’t recommend getting the chicken parm, seemed like it was made a few days ago and simply reheated! The pizza, however, was very tasty.
Wonderful dinner with my girlfriends. The servers were friendly and the food came out hot and delicious. We ordered two different salads, pizzas, salmon, gnocchi, pasta and chicken. All were tasty and plentiful. Save room for the luscious tiramisu and Nutella mousse! Will definitely be back to try the cacio e pepi special for two!
Too loud! The DJ was too much for the size of the space and the music inappropriate. But all else very good.
Incredibly slow service. It took a long time for someone to take drink orders and even longer to get the drinks. The bruschetta was soggy. There were 4 of us: 2 ordered pasta & 2 ordered pizza. The two pasta dishes came with the wrong type of pasta. The two pizzas arrived so late that the people who ordered pasta were already finished. We ended up focusing on the disappointing experience rather than enjoying our time together. We will not go back.
Food was very good. The place is really cozy nice bar with a lot of seating good wine list and the staff was very nice and attentive.
