   Our table was adjacent to a walkway and was a little cramped. Service was friendly and prompt. Our starters were prawn cocktail and ham hock. Both were very tasty. The main course for both of us was pork loin with all the trimmings. Massive amounts of vegetables and the plates were stacked high. Just felt that eating ended up being hard because there was SO much. This might sound odd to some but overloading a plate seems to make its consumption quite an effort. We had no room for a pudding and we had to leave some. I’d like to suggest that an option for small plates be offered. It seems such a waste otherwise. It’s always a nice place to eat and decent value for money.

   Hi Jan, We do have an option for smaller potions, all you have to do is ask for a half portion of your favourite roast. Although the difference in price is not much, the option is there for you, and it would make a massive difference to your dining experience. Not a lot of people give us such a low score when the food was tasty though, just because the portion was large, but i understand your point of view. Also, we offer take away boxes, so, again, the option is there. I'll make a note for your next visit, so we can serve you half portions.    Beautiful meal, outstanding value, lovely staff and fantastic decor, l have been many times and never been disappointed, highly recommend

   Really good food, and incredible value. Service from the staff excellent, as always. If anything, some of the main courses are too large. But really tasty!

   Our 2 courses for £19.95 was really good value. The food was beautifully presented and was absolutely delicious.

   Again what a fantastic visit to this restaurant, already planning our next visit. The staff front of house are very attentive and let's not forget the back of house the food is delicious. Many thanks for today. Ernie.

   A beautiful Sunday lunch . Good choice of roasts and delicious desserts . Always excellent service by professional staff . My favourite place to be .

    Enjoyed the set lunch in pleasant surroundings. We were allocated a window table and service was very efficient, staff were polite, and decor was outstanding.
