My boyfriend and I decided to try out Noyo, and found ourselves disappointed. The service was very poor. As my boyfriend said, “Ive had better service at Taco Bell”. Staff was so slow to tend to guests, take orders, deliver food, and they had no personality. In regards to the food: the fried Brie salad - while the Brie was as expected - the salad along with it was lackluster in taste, appearance, and quality (ie did you forget the a vinaigrette?). Our entrees were pretty much the only redeeming part of our dining experience. The pork scallopini was very well made and flavored to perfection. The lobster Mac n cheese gnocchi was pretty decent as well (could have used a tad bit more flavor but that’s just a personal preference). The quantity given was great and did not leave us hungry. The ambiance was average, nice but nothing too amazing. Fortunately they have lots of heat lamps which keeps you from getting very cold.
The food was good, not great, and the service was very slow.
Handling the COVID restrictions flawlessly. Lovely area outside well spaced tables and food and drinks didn’t miss a beat
While it is not inexpensive the food and ambiance are well worth the price.
Great table on deck!
Well worthy it!
We were seated outside in the “ bistro” section, which is located a long way from the kitchen. Yet our wait service was attentive and very pleasant, the view was lovely and the food dependably delicious.
Food & beverage was wonderful in a great outdoor (with heat lamp) experience. Server was very good and kindly gracious as it relates to the lengthy wait time from app to entree. Saturday night business was bustling therefore, the lengthy wait was acceptable and very pleasing to see outdoor patrons support this exceptional restaurant. Applause to the culinary team and serving staff!
Nice upgrades at an old time favorite!
A truly excellent restaurant with amazing food and service. The setting overlooking the Noyo Harbor is beautiful and of course the newly refurbished historic Noyo Harbor Inn is absolutely stunning in both architecture and landscape. There is truly no place like this in Fort Bragg. Do not miss this gem! Will definitely be back!
Noyo Harbor Inn is a dependably high quality restaurant in terms of food, service, and ambience. It's expensive, but worth the extra $$$ for the value of the experience.
Everything was great except that they were dredging the harbor the whole 2 hours we were there. Not the fault of the Noyo Harbor Inn but since we had to be outside it was very bad noise :)
The lamb and bavette were wonderful and cooked perfectly. We also loved our drinks. We will likely repeat the experience tomorrow.
It was wonderful! The service and food were amazing!
Fabulous setting. The Morocco style Salmon was superb. Don’t miss the desserts, especially the goat milk cheese cake.
Despite the mania of a holiday weekend, the staff and service were gracious and thoughtful, and our brunch was of the same stellar quality we have come to expect at the Noyo Harbor Inn. Thank you for working so hard to make us feel so good! (Plus harbor seals... so lovely)
I loved the brunch I had with my family here! The location is gorgeous and the staff was attentive and accommodating. We all enjoyed the wonderful harbor/garden atmosphere.
The food was prepared quickly and was outstanding- the homage English muffin was the best I’ve had in my life. Excellent coffee as well. Can’t wait to go back!
To be fair with the Covid restrictions they did well. The fish stew was nice. The fries platter was adequate.
We had reservations. We were seated after half an hour, which we understood as people didn’t want to leave it was so beautiful out. We were finally seated and the hostess left. Had to go get a server after another 20 plus minutes waiting. Our server had an attitude and it seemed we were inconvenienced her from the beginning. My son saw her roll her eyes after I finally said something to her regarding her attitude. The mussels were wonderful, yet two small scallops in a very bland risotto was not worth the cost. My soup was gritty, and the halibut was inedible as were my deviled eggs. Both tasted like they were prepared the day before, at least. The halibut was awful. Like everything was reheated together and served. Under the shrimp, the eggs were dark on the outside as the filling was placed there along time prior to serving. The server could not care nor did she ask if I wanted anything else after taking my eggs away. Our jalapeño margaritas had so many chunks, using a straw was useless. Beside the overwhelming jalapeños, the margarita was flavorless. Instead of walking a couple steps to serve the food, she reached out over our laying dog handing plates. There was plenty of room to serve and she was again, seemed basically lazy. Another server finished our “experience.” She was very pleasant. We will never return. Management should have been overseeing the service and food quality.
I had eaten at the Noyo Harbor Inn about 3 weeks previously and thought the food was excellent. This time I was disappointed. The Caesar Salad was served at room temperature and was limp. The aioli sauce that accompanied the chickpea fries seemed to lack any garlic. My companions, however, were very happy with their burgers. And we had a delightful time in that beautiful setting on the deck overlooking the harbor. Of course I will return with the hope that the food will be as good as the first time I was there.
The best restaurant in Fort Bragg hands down!
Be sure to make a reservation
We were on time to celebrate a birthday dinner, and we’re seated. Waited about 15 min to order drinks, then another 20 to order an appetizer. We waited about 15 more minutes and our server asked if we wanted anything else. I told her that our reservation was for a birthday dinner, she seemed surprised and said she’d get dinner menus. She NEVER RETURNED after we waited another 15 minutes! We got up to leave and had to find where the servers were to pay for our drinks and salad. She was serving other tables. It was such a disappointment after seeing the reviews. We went into town to a Mayan restaurant and had a wonderful experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Noyo Harbor Inn Restaurant!
The salad dressing was so wrong and watery. I only found half of a cherry tomato on the salad. For $32.00 I had one shrimp, one scallop and four little bay shrimp on my dish, and lots of pasta. My wife dish was filled with green, curry sauce, I am not sure about it.
Food was excellent and different. The service was great and waitress did not hover but checked with us frequently. Menu was different which I enjoyed and we went back for a wonderful breakfast the next day.
Great night on my 65th orbit. Service outstanding and the scallops /shrimp with risotto sublime. A lot of attention to detail but not fussy. My beloved had salmon "Moroccan" again it was a total success. Wish Marguerite was our personal chef! What a place!

We loved your restaurant. We were on a mini vacation to escape the smoke and heat in Sacramento. We will definitely be back next time we are in Mendocino. The lap blankets were such a nice touch.
Great setting, especially good during Covid 19, since the lovely patio with a nice view of the river and harbor, is blocked from the wind by the building. Many places in Fort Bragg don't have outdoor seating, and if they do, many are cold and windy in the evening.
NHI is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious and the view, stunning. Our server was efficient and helpful.
Outstanding food and good selection for our more restrictive diets (Vegetarians + fish). Exceeded expectations and we loved our experience. Will be coming back for sure!
Food was delicious. A quiet table on the grass outdoors overlooking the harbor was magnificent.
Great place to have lunch overlooking the harbor. Very good food and excellent choice of wines by the glass
food is pretty good, lot of local fresh caught seafood, portions can be shared and they are more than willing to accommodate you sharing, good wine selection, We have been there 3 times, had two of their bottles of wine and brought one of our own last time very nice wait people, great waitress Laura very knowledgeable about the menu, Highly recommend.
Very nice place to have brunch. Nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. We are definitely coming back and we are already telling our friends about it.
It's just okay. The place is nice and it's the only saving grace. Food was so-so. Though we asked for a steak knife and the server said she gave us a steak knife because the grooves are further apart - it wasn't a steak knife.
Beautiful outdoor setting, nice heaters making it very pleasant to eat outside. Dijon sauce was very salty which ruined the salmon. Service was friendly but spotty. Hostess needs some training.
Best salmon of our lives ... spectacular food
Overpriced for the quality of food you get. Got the mussels those were good, caprese tower was good however the tomatoes were very soft and it could have used some bread on the side. The risotto with shrimp and scallops was very disappointing. The seafood was delicious however the risotto had a strong flavor of what seemed like the wine it was cooked in, like they didn’t burn it off. I didn’t eat but a few bites. My husband got the beef bavette, this was tasty with the exception that it came with fries. We were looking forward to having the bread pudding for dessert and they were out of it.
We had a lovely table in the herb garden with views of the harbor complete with playful harbor seals. The food exceeded our expectations we booked another visit this trip!!!
Enjoyable early evening meal over the Noyo Harbor.
Such a lovely place on the Noyo River & harbor. The chef is spectacular. Many beautiful offerings on the menu. The wait staff is so professional. We have been here many times and will continue to come. A favorite place to bring our houseguests.
Beautiful patio dinning overlooking the backside of Noyo Harbor. The Cesar salad was exceptionally good and the chicken Marsala was possibly the best I have ever had. The soft polenta was well, polenta just not really my thing. It is just a lovely environment to eat great food served by friendly staff. I will also mention they have heat lamps on the patio which was appreciated. My recommendation would be eat early evening because the patio is in the shade.
