Amazing location. Well prepared and delicious food. Service was rocky—asked for water and it never came. They were busy and understaffed so can’t complain that much. Overall great experience.
The Espresso martinis are a must to end the evening.. the bartender was spot on with ALL of our cocktails!
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere.
Good breakfast. Nice views from deck. Service was a little slow, but pleasant.
Nice place, but the cocktails were not very tasty. We ordered two appetizers, one for each of us, but they assumed we both wanted to share and only brought out one at a time. The rack of lamb was undercooked. The lobster was very good, but the filet mignon was tough and also undercooked.
This is not our first time dining at the Noyo Harbor Inn Restaurant. We have always had exceptional experiences. Can't recommend them highly enough.
Always a nice atmosphere and always a slow bar but now, with a new chef in the kitchen, the food was clearly sub standard. Too bad but it’s clear that the chef makes the difference.
Excellent food! I was there in early September and now early October and the food was excellent. Before this the food was pretty mediocre but now they have excellent food. The new chef has really upped their game! Bravo!
The bar was nice. Our table was not ready. We waited past our reservation. We had no water and silverware. The waitress was VERY busy. My scallops and risotto had ZERO flavor. It was not like the picture. My husbands lamb was good. It was my birthday and they sand to the other guests but not me. The food too FOREVER, they did not offer bread. I was sad to be so disappointed.
Food not cooked correctly. Cold raw hamburger.
Unfriendly local patrons who stared incessantly.
I will preface with the fact that I realize that The pandemic has created a number of challenges for the service industry. So, to keep things in context, I can’t say if my experience is evidence of the times we are in or if there are deeper problems. Much of the staff seemed stressed and systems seemed disorganized. Some staff, to be fair were quite professional and kind, this seemed to be mostly the bussers. We were told by the hostess that an outdoor seat would be ours in about five minutes only to be told 15 minutes later that that table had been given to another customer, because they had a dog. A drink at the bar, before being seated (indoors, without the view), never arrived and instead was delivered to our table after being seated. Service at the table was not ideal. Drink orders were forgotten and the waiter was rushed. Meanwhile, we finished our indoor dinner while seeing empty outdoor tables sitting empty for our entire meal. Food was decent.
We have never been to this restaurant before so we went without expectations and were delighted with our first visit. The menu is interesting. The food was excellent. The service was very good. We enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the Noyo River with lots of heaters to keep everyone toasty. The patio is dog friendly.
pastrami sandwich was delicious and on the special
polenta cake was so good too!
Great as always.
Delicious menu. Had the sole - served with a picatta sauce on a bed of mashed potatoes - outstanding!!
Beet salad was excellent - we added avocado.
Jalapenos drinks were also great.
The restaurant was crowded and the bar was busy last Saturday. The staff didn't seem rushed and we enjoyed a lovely meal, served in a nice leisurely manner. This is the best restaurant/bar in Fort Bragg.
Wonderful food and terrific service. Nice views of the harbor from the patio. Lovely evening
Overall great experience. The staff was so friendly and accomodating, bringing blankets on the patio and then finding a table inside when it became too cold. The food was outstanding!
Food was excellent. Ambiance was wonderful
The setting is lovely. The food is exceptional and it’s not very expensive. I’ve tried several items on the menu from breakfast meals to luncheon and starters. Everything has been good. For instance the eggs are light and the Brussels sprouts are a revelation.
Our reservation was at 7 pm and we were seated immediately on the patio. They had nice heaters to make it comfortable and the ambience was nice. We ordered rack of lamb, surf and turf, New York steak, and cod special. All of the food was good with the exception of the filet mignon on the surf and turf. Very undercooked and was definitely not a filet cut. Chewy and almost rare. The biggest issue was the amount of time it took to get our food. Over an hour and our waitress appeared frazzled. We had two kids with us and they were losing it by the time our food came.
Great food and service. Love their cocktail list and wine list. They have some different wines which is refreshing. So courteous and helpful with our dietary needs. Food took a bit, but the atmosphere was such a pleasant one it didn’t matter. Looking forward to returning.
Most brunch meals were good; Eggs Florentine w/ ham was "sloppy" ham slices could have been trimmed to size of dish and eggs were horribly overcooked.
I took my boyfriend here to celebrate that we had finally listed my family home for sale. Last year, I lost my husband of 30+ years and then 6 months later almost to the date, I lost my beloved youngest son. It was heartbreaking go through all the things in the midst of such deep grief and sorrow and my boyfriend stayed with me every step of the way. I'm sharing this because in many ways, it parallels the experience that I had at this lovely restaurant. We sat down on the terrace and ordered Manhattans (which were fabulous), clam chowder (warm, comforting & deeply delicious) and 2 different fish entrees. Unfortunately, my boyfriend had an extreme allergic reaction to the clam chowder (the sudden onset of a shellfish allergy?) and one minute, he was celebrating with me and the next minute, he was slumped over unconscious in his chair. I can't tell you what it was like to see yet another person that I love like that. I immediately responded, talking him back to a conscious state, encouraging deep diaphragmatic belly breaths, dipping the napkin into ice water and placing it on his blazing neck and forehead. What happened next was nothing short of amazing, especially in the time of COVID. Diners at a nearby table came over to help as we encouraged my boyfriend to breathe deeply, rhythmically and stay with us. The waitress responded with Benadryl. Paramedics were called. The owner, a beautiful caring man, came to my table and asked me how he could help. The paramedics arrived. The owner said that I didn't need to worry about the bill and we went back and forth because I understand how restaurant owners have suffered financially during COVID. Then the restaurant owner did the most caring thing: he offered to drive to the hospital so I could follow behind since I was unfamiliar with the area. What a wonderful, responsive, caring man. What a great example of humans taking care of humans. I'd go back to his restaurant in a heartbeat.
You don't need a special event to celebrate here. Great food, location, ambiance.
We were asked if it was a special occasion but server failed to follow up.
Order was misunderstood. Explanation of preparation was not adequate.
excellent food and service and location we really liked it
We were in the area as a tribute to our father who passed away 2/20. It was one of his favorite areas and we had had a great weekend with family to honor him. The food was very good and we loved sitting outside and enjoying the sounds of the sea lions and the view. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Good food nice people
My husband and brother in law both ordered the hamburger medium rare, they were both medium, and they felt they were dry, asked for extra sauce. The tacos were OK, but the Brussels Sprouts were excellent as always.
Really disappointed in the meals here. Both meals were very poorly plated, with the main dish served on top of mashed potatoes which absorbed any sauce that was supposed to be on them. The sole meuniere seemed breaded (more than drenched in flour). Service poor as well. Received out glasses of wine, after our salads were completely eaten. Great location and view, but wouldn't go back.
Strong B- experience. Not great, but not bad. Too bad, as the prices were certainly on the great side.
Excellent food, drink and service. Great varied menu, signature drinks and local wines and beer selection. The perfect location for a celebration or a quiet intimate dinner and every thing in between. We live in Fort Bragg and love the Happy Hour specials and sitting on the back deck and listening to the seal lions bark and watching the fishing boats come in. We take friends and family there for dinner...when we want to impress them on one of the millions of reasons we moved to the Mendocino Coast. We always recommend the Inn to friends coming into town for the place to stay and enjoy many fabulous meals. Bring a sun hat and a jacket, because you never know what the weather might be and you will not want to leave the patio! Enjoy.
Steak and Lobster were wonderful…the seal was laud but authentic to its surroundings…our waitress was on time and not intrusive…wine and beer were excellent!!!
Bar service a little slow. Our appetizers arrived before the cocktails.
Nice outside ambiance, great food, no rush. Halibut and filet of sole was excellent. The talking sea lion was an added bonus. We will come back in the future for sure. My wife loved the salad and the sourdough bread was from San Francisco. Thanks
Disappointed. Server ordered cod instead of salmon. Had to share my meal until salmon was cooked. Sad that service was not adequate.
Outstanding restaurant. Beautiful views, great food and service.
all good one suggestion. The last time I ordered Farro Bowl the vegetables were cut much smaller and easier for me to eat than the large broccoli pieces and carrot slices.
Food was ok this time but better before. Excellent service!
A simply gorgeous view of the Noyo Harbor for a delicious meal, friendly service and excellent value. I can't wait to return!
