Terrible service. Had to beg to be waited on. Took 30 minutes to even get water
The moment you step into Noyane you are transformed into a cultural experience. Superb food and the most delicious bites at every meal that came out!
We had reservations here on Saturday, to celebrate my husband's birthday. We showed up to a closed restaurant. No one communicated that you would be closed. Extremely disappointed in the lack of communication. Won't be making a reservation here again or recommending you to anyone. It sucks because I was REALLY looking forward to eating here.
People were nice from the door person all the way through the server and chef. But as the sun set and it became cold, the service slowed down and after clearing our dishes, came to learn that the dessert was never ordered after 30 min. And took another 15 min to bring and the delays caused me to be over an hour late to helping a friend move in this short window of time. It was very cold and we waited in the shade for nearly an hour to finish our meal/dessert portion of our visit. The first hour was great..and the chef was really nice.
We were really looking forward to our reservation but unfortunately we had a rude, unaccommodating waiter. Also, one of the meals didn’t come out until all others had finished their meals! They didn’t even apologize until we mentioned it and did not attempt to make it right by offering additional items or taking it off the bill. When we asked for the late food to be taken off the bill, the waiter did agree to do so. We won’t be back!
More veggie options
I don’t know if it was on off day or what, but based on the audible yelling/fighting coming from the kitchen and then the shuffle of managers, servers and bartenders all headed to the stairwell for private chats, and finally the conversations we could hear at our table next to the servers station I’d say this place has recently undergone a management/leadership change and they’re having trouble finding their way.
I probably won’t go back of my own accord but I’d definitely come back if someone I knew made plans or asked me to meet them there.
For the prices they’re charging this should 4-5 star experience.
Great location with a cool look at downtown Chicago. Our waiter was great, often getting down to our level to speak to us. Had the California rolls which were excellent with lots of crab. Also had the pork belly which was delicious. My husband had the Noyane burger which included pork belly on it. That was very good. Also had the best sweet potato fries ever. Had a great time. Highly recommend.
I ate here on a Sunday with 4 friends. There were only about 4 other tables with people and plenty of wait staff. The service was awful. We saw our waiter only once every 30ish minutes. We were there for 3.5 hours and it was not on purpose. The service was just that slow. The drinks and food were also extremely over priced.
I wouldn’t go back.
We had reservations at 11am. They weren’t open and ready. Said it would be 15 min and that was at 11:05 and we didn’t have time to wait
Views were 5 out of 5! Service wasn't great, I think he was new because seemed very nervous and for being only 1 of 2 tables there he was no where to be seen most of the time. Had to ask for someone to find our waiter few times.
Menu so so. Thought was going to a sushi restaurant and hardly any sushi on menu, maybe 5 things.
The food was actually very good but just expected way more.
Wouldn't go back again.
Great Drinks, Sushi and Roof Top in the spring/summer. Highly Recommend!
I thought the service was very poor. Hostess was extremely unfriendly and condescing. Food was okay, but looked much better in the pictures. Disappointed that I specified it was a birthday celebration and they did nothing for it.
The views were great! Perfect for the air and water show. Our server was super friendly. Food and drinks were fun and very tasty but the food took 25 minutes to be brought to our table and we only ordered 1 thing of sushi nachos and we were the only people on the rooftop. We went right when they opened too.
One word ... Amazing! One of
Our new favourites. We will definitely be back!
Noyane was a nice surprise - the rooftop bar/restaurant is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. The menu is limited but good. We were able to enjoy the air show while eating and had a great time. Next time I will go for drinks and appetizers on a date night or with friends.
You end up over paying for pricey drinks and over rated food but it’s worth it for the ambiance and the view.
This place has a great view to match its food and drinks. Definitely has good options when it comes to seating and the type of view you’re looking for. The staff is very attentive and friendly.
Getting into the hotel we were greeted right away and shown where to go to get to Noyane so that was great! Get our table and wait over 15 min to be served water and get our drink order taken. We knew what we wanted right away so we did order our food right after drinks but service to get more drinks was terrible. The waiter was super nice but I think he had to cover the entire rooftop so it made service really slow. Overall, it was amazing food but they need to have more waiters.
After reading the reviews, I was nervous to try this place but it’s been on my list for so long, my boyfriend and I decided to take a chance and check it out. I am so glad we did! Noyane totally exceeded our expectations. The food is amazing. We had the sticky ribs, the nachos and the miso hand roll. The peach bourbon spiked snowball was great! The service was a little slow, however, we were not in a hurry so this did not strike us as an inconvenience but I would warn future goers that this is not a quick meal. It’s better if you have time to kill on a gorgeous Chicago afternoon. The view is wonderful and the space is modern and cool. It is on the pricey side but in my opinion, worth it.
Very little food for the price and for the food they actually gave you it wasn’t particularly tasty. The sushi dishes were a waste and the coconut only contained about 2 table spoons full of food.
Desert was the best part. A+ on the macha dish.
The view was nice and the food was both delicious and visually appealing. The presentation was great and I had a cocktail called The Sundance that was absolutely amazing! Best edamame ever.
Horrible customer service. We arrived at noon for our reservation to find out rooftop was not open, due to rain earlier that morning. We were advised by the hostess to wait downstairs and give them time to set up. After 45min we asked the lobby bartender if rooftop was ready and she confirmed they were open. We went upstairs to be greeted by a rude waiter and hostess telling us they were not going to open because of the weather (worth mentioning it hadn't rained for over 4 hours). The staff was rude, inconsiderate, and looked at us like deer in headlights.
I spoke with several staff members from noyane and Conrad hotel and no one made an effort to make up for the fact they cancelled our reservation twice without notification. A little customer service goes a long way.
As a Chicago resident and foodie, I will not be returning to and do not recommend Conrad hotel, Baptiste and bottle, or noyane.
Chicken wings and edamame beans were out of this world!
I made a reservation on open table and when we arrived at the restaurant we could see that several tables were vacant. The hostess told me, first, that they do not have my name in their records. She then told me they don't except reservations at all and it wasn't possible that I had made one on open table. After an awkward unwelcoming interaction she said she could still seat us at one of the many available tables. The waitress was also unwelcoming which created an uncomfortable overall dinning experience. The cocktails were creative but a disappointment after we tasted them. The sushi was mediocre and, for the price, better sushi can be enjoyed in the city. The pork belly dish was excellent!! We were very excited about how amazing this meat tasted and we were going to order a second dish but the service was so off putting I chose to go home instead (to make more food- we were still hungry). The view and the rooftop seating were very lovely. We were really looking forward to this meal because I had seen so many beautiful photos of this rooftop but I would, unfortunately, never return due to the service.
The food was amazing. The edamame was so good that I wanted a second order! The black cod was grilled perfectly. I highly recommend the food. The views from the deck were beautiful- you are at eye level with the Tip Top Tap sign on the Allerton.
Just okay, not terrible, not great.
Great food and drinks
Service staff very good
Great views of Chicago. Good small plates and coctails
We went for a birthday celebration during lunch time. We ordered 2 sticky ribs, 2 California rolls, vegetable tempura roll, Wagyu short loin, wild mushroom, black cod and a spiked snowballs with BOURBON PEACH flavor. Overall the food is very flavorful and yummy, but the black cod is a little bit too salty.
It didn't seem to have enough waitresses. They can hire one more person so the customers can receive more services.
Overrated and overpriced. Redeeming feature is the view.
The rooftop was nice, with an ok view. It doesn’t beat a view of the lake but still decent. The service was terrible. We asked for old fashions and the waiter told us the bar couldn’t make anything not on the drink list - what!? We ended up getting our drinks but it shouldn’t have been been a question. The food was ok. We had an edamame appetizer which was delicious. For mains we ordered the poke bowl and veggie roll - both were nothing memorable and definitely not worth the price. I don’t think I’d go back for anything other than drinks and a nice view.
Two of us stopped in for a quick craft cocktail at the bar, no food, on a beautiful sunny Chicago day! Friendly bartender, great views of the city - yummy cocktails, creative ingredients!
For a very limited menu, not having something is unacceptable. Drinks are so overpriced. The service was not great. Our waiter had the worst attitude, not once did he even smile.
Said they only had reservations available on open table because of a glitch and refused to seat us
Made a reservation days ahead for their patio. Was seated at 4pm and left at 5pm when no one came to our table once. I notified the hostess four times, two of which I asked for the manager to stop by. No one ever came after an entire hour! I left my name and telephone number with her on my way out to speak with their manager.. he never reached out. Very disappointed.
We made reservations for this restaurant about a week in advance very excited to go there and when we came to the lobby the gentlemen standing alerted us that Noyane was closed for the winter. The fact that they still had reservations open was absurd, next time we hope that your reservations are closed on open table when you're restaurant is closed.
Made our reservation far in advance, showed up the day of, and the restaurant was closed due to weather. We were not called or emailed about this.
Worst customer service ever! The food was good but the service was really slow and unfriendly
Beautiful restaurant. Great food. Portions are average. The lemon butter bread is a unique taste, it was good, but not truly a shareable appetizer...The best value was the Big burger for $19 its a nice size and it was delicious. $50 steak not big at all, nor flavorful to my liking; I am a fry girl. And the fries were PERFECT. The view is beautiful. The rooftop scenery was beautiful. The people were pretty nice.
