   We had the LI Restaurant Week prix fixe for $46 per person. Both food and service was excellent. We loved the extensive wine list by the glass.

   I was very excited to try Novita, but I have to say bread was very stale, the drinks were disappointing as they were flavorless and basically juice in a glass, even when we ordered white wine it was less than room temperature and we had to ask for ice. The food was okay, a little bland and the pork chop was overpowered by the sweetness on top. The only things we really enjoyed was our server who was fantastic and very knowledgeable and the coconut bread pudding at the end which was amazing.

    I would say I had a bad time there but it wasn’t great. It lands on average/mediocre. That’s ok, but I have issue with that plus the price. I understand the area and we frequent waterzooi and a few other spots in the area but price is justified by taste. Here that was not the case. Possibly it’s an off night since it was Easter so maybe management or staff regulars were not working. Interior was very nice looking and well done. It’s strange that everything was so bland and lacking flavor except for the ala vodka chicken parm which was good. Even the drinks were bland lacking flavor. TLDR; maybe an off night since it was Easter but food/drinks not worth the price with other options in the area.
