Novello Restaurant & Bar
For old world charm, dine indoors. For a tropical "Addison Mizner" feel, opt for a table on the patio. Order a bottle from their well stocked wine cellar as you peruse the menu. An Italian Super Tuscan, Moscato, Montepulciano D’Abruzzo or Chianti by the bottle or the glass sets the mood.
At Novello, we suggest that you dine like an Italian...share!
Outstanding food and service.
We were in Boca visiting with our parents who spend the winters here. Found Novello online and reserved a table based on the menu and great reviews. They did not disappoint. Those five star reviews are all true. The food and atmosphere are excellent. We were a party of 5 and every appetizer and entree were all delicious. The house salad, caesar salad, caprese and meatball apps all very good. Their garlic bread and bruschetta for the table was a nice touch. The chicken parm and veal dishes were also excellent choices. The owner and wait staff could not have been any friendlier and welcoming. We sat indoors but on a nice night their outside seating area would be quite lovely. We would highly recommend dining here.
Been coming to Florida for the last 10 years and randomly picked this place to dine for Valentine’s Day. Was the best decision I could have Made. Food was outstanding and the owner greeted me as soon as I walked in hands down a diamond in the rough I will be back again and again. You must try this place if you haven’t already. The service was also outstanding
Excellent Italian food. Thanks s is a real gem. Have been there twice and will absolutely go again.
Novello is an upscale Italian dining experience. The food is consistently excellent.
Great local restrant with friendly staff and good wine list
Warmth, hospitality and delicious cuisine!
Gracie Mille Marco!
Fantastic restaurant and food. We ate outdoors and it was delightful.
Great Service, friendly, great food. What more can you ask.Wide array of choices, so many specials.
Delicious food and atmosphere is lovely.
Charming neighborhood find. The service was fabulous and the food quite good, actually very good.
Totally enjoyable experience.
owner was extremely rude. we frequent here often- however the service was completely unacceptable and the owners excuse was "its a saturday night" well you should have properly trained staff if your are busier than normal. not an excuse for poor service and cold food. also extremely unprofessional and rude owner
Had a great time. It was our first time there. It was my girlfriend’s birthday.
We were warmly greeted by the owner and shown to our table. We were given the menus and asked if we’d like a drink. Our waiter then asked us if we’d like to order never telling us about the specials.
I ordered a salad as well as an entree, my husband just ordered an entree. After a considerable about of time our entrees came, never my salad. At no point during the course of our meal did anyone come over to check that everything was to our liking or if we’d like anything else.
We finished our entrees and were given the check not having been asked if we’d like dessert or coffee.
I told the waiter that I’d like a decaf cappuccino. We waited a considerable amount of time before the cappuccino was served.
We’ve eaten here numerous times and I must say that this experience was extremely disappointing.
Veal was fabulous. My dinner companions had and loved the bronzino.
Wonderful food. A little noisy. Great restaurant. Charming host
Wonderful food and service at Novello. Grilled Octupus was superb. The Branzino was served and deboned tableside. A delicious entry.
One if my favorite Italian restaurants! The food is wonderful..the owner is always attentive and makes you feel so welcome!
Best veal chop Parmesan I’ve had in a long time.
Amazing Food and friendly staff... A real bite of Italy.... I will come back.... nice atmosphere with a real touch of Italy. Do not miss it... Great esperience !!
My boyfriend and I decided to go to Novello for New Years and booked the reservation a week in advance. At that time, the website stated they would be serving the a la carte menu in addition to the New Year's special. Neither of us drink, so we did not think the special was appropriate for us. We had eaten there twice before and had enjoyed both experiences with excellent food and service. When we arrived, we were seated promptly, then handed a New Years menu showing a prix fixe meal at $125/person. We asked about the a la carte menu, but was told they were not serving it. We decided to stay for dinner anyway since we were already there. My boyfriend ordered the crab stuffed salmon - medium done and I ordered the Frutti de Mare which included clams, mussels, scallops, shrimp, and lobster. I asked if I could substitute something else for the mussels and was told no, but they can make it without the mussels. My boyfriend's salmon was served rare (uncooked in the middle) and my dish was served with a lot of clams on top. As I was taking the clams out of the shells, I was looking for the rest of the seafood and found that I was given 1 shrimp, 1 scallop, a small lobster tail, and mostly clams. For dessert, I ordered the tiramisu and my boyfriend ordered the cheesecake. My tiramisu was sloppily plated, but tasted fine and his cheesecake was completely burnt on top. He tried to cut the top off to just eat the middle, but that was not good either (grainy and bland). By the end of the meal, we felt very cheated. Their idea of decorating for the New Year was to tie 1 helium filled balloon to the back of a few chairs spread sparsely throughout the restaurant and the single rosebuds on the tables were closed and almost withered. We don't mind paying a premium for an excellent meal/experience, but we thought $125/person for the meals and experience we were provided was akin to price-gouging. We will not be returning to this restaurant again.
Always a great meal! Great service too!
Didn’t realize there would be a multi course fixed price menu on New Years Eve but it was excellent. Way more food than we could eat but enjoyed it!
Over priced for what was served (fixed price). Never did get one of the items on the list
They say "Don't go out on New Years Eve". Wrong. You can count on Novello for a consistently exceptional meal. As usual, every ingredient in every dish is superior. The smallest component is clearly top quality, making the whole dish incredible. Service was as great as any other night. Marco went out of his way to make sure that our large group was well served. Worth every penny if you appreciate truly great food.
Not as good as previous visits. The alici marinate, described as white anchovies, roasted peppers and artichoke contained barely two tiny pieces of artichoke, not worth $ 13. One guest at my table received her pasta with red sauce, when she had ordered white sauce - it was taken back and corrected. The fiochetti was excellent, the veal piccata good. For the price, Novello has to do better.
Consistently great! We felt very welcome when we arrived and the food and service was excellent as always. Looking forward to our next visit.
food as always, very good. furniture needs upgrade, not comfortable..
Food and service was very good.
It was a wonderful way to spend Christmas Eve! This was my family’s first time going out for Christmas Eve instead of cooking in, and it was fantastic! The atmosphere was great, especially outside where we were sitting by the Christmas tree. I picked the restaurant so my mom could have Zupa do pesce like what she would make as we were growing up, and it did not disappoint. The pistachio creme brûlée was also a sweet surprise! Would definitely recommend and would go again.
Everybody enjoyed their dinner. We sat outside on the patio and it was a delightful evening and quiet! Our waiter was great.
Typical Italian meal. Very good food and timely service. Nothing unusual standard good food and service. The outside dining was very nice with live music piped in from the piano player in the bar area. Not terribly pricey with very good service. Wish they had better wine by the glass list.
Dinner is always delicious and the bread is heavenly and the service is excellent! We love the piano in the bar! Great neighborhood Italian food!
Fabulous food...good piano player..the owner is amazing..personable..visited table frequently...wonderful servers...food was superb!
Too pricey for what it was, other Italian restaurants much better value.
First time there and not our last. 5 different entrees, 5 yeah's across the board.
Service was spot on as well.
