Novello Restaurant & Bar
For old world charm, dine indoors. For a tropical "Addison Mizner" feel, opt for a table on the patio. Order a bottle from their well stocked wine cellar as you peruse the menu. An Italian Super Tuscan, Moscato, Montepulciano D’Abruzzo or Chianti by the bottle or the glass sets the mood.
At Novello, we suggest that you dine like an Italian...share!

Garlic bread and bruschetta were good. Eggplant rollatini was somewhat lacking in flavor and reminiscent of a microwaveable meal. Risotto was undercooked. Chicken Scarpariello was lukewarm and sausage was a bit dry. Desserts were overpriced. Service was okay. Staff was friendly but could stand a little polish. As an example, the dessert plates were left on the table when the check was delivered and weren’t removed until after we paid and left. Given the price point and the number of Italian restaurants in the area, there’s a lot of work to be done here If they wish to be competitive and have any chance of surviving.
The best Italian in Boca
I hardly ever rate a restaurant with a straight 5, just because hardly ever that matches my dining experience. However this restaurant is exceptional. The owner greets you as you step into the restaurant, our server Roland was incredibly knowledgeable and pleasant. The food was to die for. My adult children and I enjoyed a wonderful meal. We will definitely return to dine at Novello.
Fantastic garlic bread, great service, welcoming atmosphere, reasonable prices but mediocre food. Maybe the chef was off that night.
Excellent! My second visit. Will return.
Marco always serves up a great meal. Definitely a Boca hot spot! Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed!
Music was lovely but much to loud we could not talk to each other
We found this gem of a restaurant two years ago. We read an online review that sounded good. Since then we have been there many times. We love introducing our friends to this place-and everyone loves it. Marco the owner is a great host.
The food the service and the atmosphere were all excellent! We all throughly enjoyed our evening and can’t wait to go back❤️
New Years Eve should have know better! Waited a half hour despite our reservation. Once at our table it was long periods of time before we saw our waiter. Priced fixed never got our appetizer had to ask came after our main course. Dissapointed!
Excellent cuisine, but service was unusually slow due to the facility being crowded for the holiday season. One of our local favorites, well worth the cost.
The food was terrible! Over priced and small portions. The Caesar salad was a very small portion of a few leaves.
We were charged a ridiculously amount for the sea bass. The chicken dish was swimming in sauce and were not told.
I told 2 people about a birthday, and to have something for one of our party.
The service was awful. Had to remind the waiter to get our food!
Will never go back!
Kudos to Mario. Ana big job!!
While it is in every restaurateur's interest to accept as many reservations as possible, if you don't have the staff to serve the people at the tables, you shouldn't have accepted so many. As it was, we were seated, got menus, were served a bottle of wine, and 45 minutes later, there we were. No waiter ever appeared to take our order. He took the order from the adjacent table, but apparently felt our party of two was not actually there for dinner. I complained to the maitre d', perhaps the owner, and asked to just pay for the wine and leave. But he insisted on taking the order personally, and within another short hour, we had our food, which was good. But by then we had been there nearly two hours.
When the check arrived, the only surprise was the price of the specials; the waiters are happy to tell you what all the specials are, but not that they are priced well above the prices of the entrées on the menu.
There is a corkage charge of $35 per bottle, which seems ridiculous considering the Montepulciano on the menu is priced at only $36. At the same time as he acknowledged that that was kind of ridiculous, he insisted that $35 would encourage sales of the wines he stocked. From the wine list at the back of the menu, which was the only wine list the waiter offered, it was not a particularly impressive wine list. Perhaps there was another wine list we did not see. I see that online, there is a much more extensive wine list. Too bad they never showed it to us.
Would I go back? No.
Seated our party of 16 happily. Great service and the food was delicious. An excellent find and perfect for a large group.
Lovely evening! Can’t wait to go back!
A great family friendly Italian restaurant with amazing service!
We love Novello
Marco is lovely
All the servers are efficient and accommodating
The food is delicious
Always a pleasant way to dine. Enjoy the food, ambiance and courtesy.
The food was very good. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and everyone was very nice. Would definitely go back but probably would not use an open table reservation.
My only criticism is that 2 of our party could not come because of a back injury and when we tried to cancel there would have been a $35 per person cancellation charge. They did allow us to reduce our party by 2 but $35 per person seems excessive.
Delicious! Novello never disappoints. Service is so warm and friendly. We love the patio or the piano bar room for ambiance.
Excellent as always
Novello never fails to impress. Great food only surpassed by the friendly, professional, attentive service. The salt crusted Bronzini is always perfect! Highly recommend!
Very good! Excellent service!
As always the charming owner Marco, greeted us at the door. A nice start to the evening. The special veal chop was to die for. Actually, the food is always exceptional here which is why we return. The staff deserves kudos too. They don’t miss a trick. The prices are reasonable for the area too. I’m sure we will continue to return here to dine.
Outstanding service (Salem was the best) excellant food and all accompanied by a phenomenal pianist!
Lovely experience. A few glitches with waiter who was new apparently but all ok overall
We love this restaurant. An intimate dining experience, great food and Marko is a wonderful host! Always feel like you are part of the family! It is our go to restaurant❤️. We keep breaking friends and they love it!
I gave it 4 stars for food because the appetizers were delicious. My main dish was just ok.
ate on the patio. greeted by the owner very nice touch. service was excellent as well as the food. A bit pricey. but will definitely go back
Great dining experience. The owner Marco is always a gracious host.
Food is very good especially fish dishes. Always a lovely evening here
Very friendly staff and great, authentic food.
Always get a warm welcome and delicious food!
A personal favorite in Boca. The food never disappoints and the owners (Marco and Maya) go out of their way to make you feel at home. Highly recommend.
This is one of the best Italian restaurants in Boca and Delray! The staff were extremely warm and welcoming. Marco, the owner, treated us like family, even though we were newcomers. We sat on the patio and it was really comfy. I started with a delicious arugula salad which was perfect. And then ..... the BEST fish I have ever had anywhere - branzino baked in a salt crust. Divine! I think it was a special so I’m hoping they include it on their regular menu.
Although the food was good/adequate, the prices are high when compared to peer restaurants in the area.
Really enjoyed the food and the service. I had the fettuccine bolognese -- I thought the pasta could have been a little more al dente but the sauce was awesome. The capreze had an excellent flavor. We asked for a side of olives and were disappointed in that they looked like they came from a can -- not what you get when you visit Italy. My wife had the angel hair veneziana that was excellent -- huge shrimp and scallops with a great sauce to it. The competition in the area for Italian restaurants is strong, but this place holds its own. We'll definitely go back.
We really enjoy sitting in the piano room and enjoy the pianist. Excellent Dover sole, which is prepared table side by our wonderful server,Caesar salad and fabulous bread which is addicting. The rose wine is from France and has a wonderful light refreshing taste followed with cappuccino and amazing lemoncello. We will visit again.
