It was well worth the trip from London with the family. Good choice from brunch/ lunch menu . Service could improve but was friendly. Half our starter was forgotten and came with main course

We came toNovellino expecting to have our dinner there after a long day at the beach. The place was a total mess and the waiter told us it would take an hour for the food to arrive at the table, after we’ve been there for an hour. Unfortunately, we decided to leave the place without ordering anything.

it was very nice to have a day out and go to a Kosher restaurant, the ambiance was very nice, staff nice, facilities clean. and the cocktails and fresh fruit juice nice. My husband enjoyed his Fish and chips. it would be nice to see a grilled version instead of pan fried fish on your menu. thank you

Firstly, I would like to say, but I really enjoyed a lot of meals at Novellino and they have been lovely. However, this was the first food event I’ve been to there and will be the last. Firstly, quite rightly we were asked if we have food allergies, I do I am allergic to Bell peppers and wrote this on the reservation form. The starters came out, the Hummus was delicious, the Tahina was runny tahina and the minute portion of Israeli salad, which is normally cucumber and tomato, was filled with bell peppers, luckily it was a tiny portion and I didn’t have to eat any which is disappointing because I love Israeli salad and couldn’t eat it!! We chose the meat option - what a stupid mistake ! Mine was burnt on both sides and the meat dried in the middle - when I could find a waitress she changed it, but it was dry and there wasn’t anything with it - just a very over cooked pita with meat in the middle - honestly it was awful! Then came the 40 minute wait and going up twice asking for service, until we were going to be served dessert, people were already leaving! We took our desserts and missed coffee! The bill - when you book on open table you can’t prepay - so, even though the whole food experience was awful I was still going to pay the £60 for 2 of us - I hope other people were honest as well, as the waitress only wanted to charge us for our juice drinks. Will I return to Novellino - yes, it’s lovely to have a kosher restaurant in Hove - will I go to another food event there- NO ! They were understaffed and awful food.
