   This is a nice hotel restaurant, especially after a day of touring in Belfast.

   The food was excellent. Very modern and upbeat atmosphere, yet relaxing for evening dining.

   Novelli is fantastic, I had put a note on the booking that it was my partner's birthday and they brought a dessert with a candle and birthday message which he loved. The food was fantastic, great veggie options. Guitar music gives a nice atmosphere and not too loud

   Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it. I had high expectations that were quickly shot down. The service was the worst I have ever experienced. We were shown to our seats with a menu, and no drink order was taken. We waited quite a while for the food order to be taken & the food just wasn't great. We both got seabass & it was 2 very small end pieces that were overcooked, with 4 pieces of gnocchi, maybe 5 brocoli stems that were so tough & a few pea shoots for food measure. Again, we waited a long time for the plates to be taken away, but the dessert menu, we thought, was never going to come. We had to request it again from the same person, who i believe was a manager. The treacle tart was truly awful. The base was so hard that my spoon would hardly go through it & the top was just a mess of sugary stuff served with the wrong sorbet. We ended up going up to pay the bill as a meal for 2, took over 2 hours for 2 courses. I am sure Jean Christophe would not be impressed!

   We have visited Novelli for years now prior to the same event in The SSE. The menu hasn’t changed. We will not be returning again.

   Went for the Pri Fix menu. Very impressed. Service , ambience and food was really good. Definitely worth a visit. We will return when next in the area.

   My partner and I come here every year for anniversary and usually the food is amazing. However this time it was nothing special for example the sauce that came with the chicken was cold,poached pair had a thick layer of sugar which had been burnt too much . But the service was outstanding as usual .

   Appalling food and value , 5 frozen Thai prawns as starter with two stale croutons. Steak was nice but 5 baby potatoes with little slits in them are not hassleback potatoes. Fish main tiny and tasteless Drinks took forever to arrive Had a bad feeling when we walked in as its hotel restaurant and that very rarely works well. Being honest a decent chef in Training could have written the menu nothing of any note or creativity on it. Suppose Jean Christophe is only there for the money however if he can stand over that food franchise or not he should be ashamed !!! No manager on duty no one in charge, Had to ask twice for main course. Would not recommend.

    We made a booking online and requested a table by the window and away from kids - thank you, this was taken into consideration. We ordered a medium rare steak and a risotto. The steak was served completely rare and we had to send it back. The other steak was good however because it was the second one and cooked in a hurry, it was not rested well enough. The waitress did not bring any cutlery with the steak so we had to wait for a few minutes. The risotto was good, perhaps a bit too much seasoning was added. Overall the visit was just OK.
