Food was exceptional. I highly recommend.
Our first date night in a few years. Everything was wonderful! The food was delicious and the service great. I appreciated the distance between tables. Will definitely be back.
Wonderful food and super friendly staff- we’ll definitely be back!
Great new place to eat, will definitely come back!
Party of five for a birthday dinner could not have been better. If you go, and you should, order a couple different items from each section of the menu and share with the table. Our favorite dish was the Sweet Potato Cappellacci.
First time dining at Novella Osteria. We will be back!
The absolute beat meal we have had in a while. Order the ricotta appetizer, the meatballs, and the Brussels sprouts. The pasta dishes we got were fantastic - highly recommend
I went here when they first opened and had a fabulous meal. This trip was my fourth visit and probably my last. Each time since the first was underwhelming. Wish they could get back to where they started.
The Ricotta appetizer was an amazing start to the meal! We had trouble deciding what to order so want to come back to try more of the menu options.
Love the food! Nice Italian wine list. Tasty cocktails. Will keep coming back for sure!
Very nice atmosphere food was great
We had a very nice dinner there. The wine prices are reasonable and the food we had was delicious. The ricotta crostini is outstanding. Service was very good. Really only thing that was not so great was the noise level. Thankfully loud music was not playing but just the number of folks in the space made for a higher noise level. This won't keep us for returning. Based on our time in Italy, this food is much more authentic than most other places in our area.
Wanted to try something special and new for my birthday! So glad I did! Novella is now a new favorite—amazing food and wonderful service! Can’t wait to go back! Love they are open on Sundays as well!
The restaurant is lovely but we sat at a hightop style table in the back which was really uncomfortable. There was booth seating on 2 sides and high bar stools on the other which seemed too high and awkward at the table. We were a party of 2 so there wasn't really any place to sit that was comfortable to be able to talk and hear each other. The plexiglass barriers made it really difficult to get to the back of the table if there is someone at the next table but obviously they are a necessity right now.
The hostess that seated me was sweet and allowed me to be seated prior to the other half of my party arriving. She chatted the whole way to the table and when I asked her about her favorite dishes, she immediately responded and seemed truly passionate about the food. It didn't seem like a canned response at all!
Conversely, the waitress was lovely but had zero knowledge of the menu. When asked about the ingredients that were in a dish she said she wasn't sure and when I made a guess, she replied "yeah that's probably it". I think the hostess and waitress should switch jobs lol!
The menu was pretty small. We started with the ricotta toast which was fluffy and delicious. The lemon olive oil cake was delicious as was the Spritzer. The meals (steak and chicken)- I could have skipped altogether. Our feeling walking out was, they were trying to hit the rustic Italian mark but were way off! That being said, neither of us ordered pasta, so maybe that hits the mark. I would go back for a Spritzer but that's about it.
Our first time & not our last! The menu was easy to explore, service was attentive but not overwhelming. I have food allergies & they were taken seriously. Also, being able to order gluten-free pasta made in-house... I was in heaven!!! We will be back sooner than later, thank you Novella Osteria!!!
This was a fantastic dinner! Definitely coming back for our date nights! Thank you!
The food was so good! My husband and I split 1 item from each course and we were both full. The pasta was fresh and the chicken was cooked to perfection with a crispy exterior that we still can't figure out how it was done. Our server was great and we didn't feel rushed as we took our time eating and drinking.
Great food!! Unique and fresh
Our dinner was really spectacular. It was our first time dining at Novelle Osteria and it was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is very pretty and it was quite crowded on a Saturday night. They did a nice job though with social distancing. Our waitress was excellent. She did a great job explaining the menu and giving us recommendations since we asked. The food was delcious. We started with the meatballs and the ricotta crostinis. I would highly recommend both dishes. We had three different pastas all were were amazing. And the wine selection was big enough so there was plenty to choose from at different price points. Overall, we had a great experience and we will definitely return.
Wonderful evening out with friends. The service, ambience, drinks and food all superb. The manager and staff were definitely dialed in to all customers, recognizing that people have choices. Their team effort made certain that we will be return customers!
My wife and I went out for our first “inside “ date since COVID . It was wonderful, from the safety , to the great dishes, to the awesome and friendly waiter (Kyle) we had. We would go back in a heartbeat!
Delicious! Beautiful interior design and exquisite dishes. Highly recommend for a luxurious date night!
We love this place. Food is always excellent
Russell, our waiter was knowledgeable of the menu and made amazing suggestions- and he made our dinner that much more fun. Thank you
Went for the Wednesday evening speciality. It was excellent and we will return. Thank you!
Great atmosphere. Would have liked more entree options however. Would go back though.
We were really looking forward to trying some of the amazing dishes they have on their menu. Unfortunately on Valentine’s Day, they had a very limited menu with items that were not very appealing to us. Part of that may be on me for not knowing about the limited menu beforehand. But I really wish they made that clear before booking. Either way, would definitely love to return to try out their normal menu.
Great Italian food you will enjoy. Wine was delicious and so was the desserts. Definitely will return soon.
Novella is awesome! We had great cocktails at the bar to start—great job on keeping us distanced and even better on the drinks.
Our server John knew his stuff! He made great recommendations on each course and the wine too. And the dessert was BOMB!!! We’ll be back again and again.
Great food and had a good experience. Highly recommend.
Best new restaurant to hit Powell in years!! Every bite was worth 5 stars and the service was just as good. They could easily charge more and get away with it. We will definitely return.
Excellent food and dining experience! Meatballs are phenomenal!
Delicious food. Friendly staff. Wonderful experience.
Wonderful ambiance for Valentine's Day night out. The meatballs were absolutely some of the best we've had. very safe, spread out with plexiglass during our pandemic. overall excellent experience and meal!
Very great service... Gluten free pasta is great
Chicken piccata amazing. Meatballs amazing. Desserts could use something chocolate- please!
Outstanding restaurant-our new favorite!
Fantastic!
Attentive staff and very fresh food. The meatballs melt in your mouth. Makes you definitely want to come back for more.
I loved the pomodoro sauce on pasta. Pasta is homemade, such a difference
When I arrived, I had to wait 20 minutes after my reservation time due to my table not being ready. Typically, I wouldn’t mind waiting a couple minutes, but 20 is excessive. Finally, when we were seated, the service seemed rushed and our table almost forgotten. As for the food, specifically the pasta, it was fine. A bit bland and nothing too special, especially for the price. However, the swordfish was excellent.
Moreover, if you are asked whether or not you are celebrating a special occasion, you would think that an acknowledgment would at least be made, otherwise why ask?! Overall, it was a fine experience, but I don’t think that I shall return.
