Always consistent and great. Wil be back soon. Recommend the bar if only a couple
Food quality is amazing. Wonderful restaurant.
The food and service was excellent as always.
We went to the restaurant on occasions on regular menu but we would definitely not recommend for restaurant week’s menu. They are great for regular menu at regular price. This restaurant is not suitable for restaurant week’s participation. For the price of restaurant’s week is definitely not worth!! It would be much better going to a decent restaurant than going to high end restaurant for this price. You get what you pay for. First time visit during ‘the restaurant’s week’ at a high end restaurant.
We waited 20 minutes from the time of our reservation to be seated. We had the restaurant week offerings which were just ok, nothing special. Expected more, since I had dined at Jean Georges previously. This was a disappointment.
Quiet, nice place with great food and professional service.
The dessert is delicious.
Just a perfect experience from start to finish. Friendly, attentive service along with exceptional food and wine made our little reunion all the more memorable.
We waited too long . The bread wasn’t great , and my salad wasn’t very good. The main meal was excellent , though.
Very good food, waiter service but haughty receptionists
It was a really horrible experience. The bread and butter is the most delicious food from my restaurant werk lunch at this restaurant. Also, the sevice was inappropriate
An absolutely lovely experience with a great and very kind waiter. Food was excitingly original in flavor and delicious, except the bland flounder (but the corn was outstanding).
A few lapses in the white glove service of opening doors, clearing the table...and when we asked for more of a condiment it was presented in a mini bottle with the plastic wrap still on — which was annoying to remove and really just clashed with the tone precedent of the dining experience.
But loved it overall and would gladly return!
The whole experience was a disappointment. Our waiter acted like we were a big inconvenience to him. But is it out of line to be offended to be asked for bread plates, a knife, butter, or water refills? Most of the food was okay, but the pastries were stale and inedible. I give the visit one star versus none for a friendly hostess and a nice table near the window.
The shrimp salad was delicious!!!
Our waiter was excellent as he was very attentive and recognized what should have been served first especially towards the end, should be coffee order first before dessert.
One of my entrees, the tenderloin was full of tendon and was very difficult cutting through it. Our waiter replaced it with a new one right away.
Nougatine has always been my choice of restaurant in NYC and tonight was the only time my food was not 100%.
I like salt as much as the next guy, but next time I would like to taste some chicken in my salt. Should have sent it back...
good restaurant with nice and delicious food，all my friends love this so much！
Service is ok. Feel so weird that no toothpick is provided even though it’s requested. That’s unusual because I travel worldwide, this is the first restaurant I came across of this issue
We sat at the bar and had a delightful dinner. The bartender was friendly and very efficient. Food was perfect. It was a novel way to dine for us, and we enjoyed everything about it.
I have been to Jean George before and I had a great experience. Just curious about the difference between JG and Nougatine at JG and made a reservation during Restaurant Week. Before going there today and already checked the recent reviews and lots of them are negative. Went for lunch today and it was quite disappointed. Service was great. Food was OK for what I ordered from the Restaurant Week menu. My friend ordered from the regular menu, for the price we paid is totally not worth it. The dish plating is not something I expected from JG, I thought they were from Applebee's. The Shrimp Salad is OK and the duck was supposed to be cooked medium, but it was close to well done at last. House made soda was good. Hm...is the chef there really on vacation? What's wrong with Jean George? He really doesn't mind to have this quality of food to ruin his reputation?
The restaurant is in first floor of Trump building. With a big window facing Central Park the view is good. We ordered RW menu which brings us a very nice dinner experience for us.
Perfect evening with delicious food in a lovely setting
We went to Nougatine during the restaurant week. Our whole dinning experience was a pleasurable one, from the restaurant ambiance to the staffs and the foods were all top notch! We have been raving about the restaurant to friends and family, Nougatine is definitely one of Jean George’s best!
Food was excellent and the hostess and waiter were even better they made us fell very welcome.waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and history of restaurant
Exelent , very nice restaurant
For the amount of people in the bar area dinningroom - it was quiet. For me that’s A Big +!!!
One of the top restaurants in NYC. Between Terrace, Nougatine et JG you cannot be wrong. The staff is great and always looking to make the guests as happy as they expect. So a must in NYC
I have dined at Nougatine over the years, especially during Restaurant Week, and I think I have finally reached the point where I can confidently say that I will never return. Overall, Nougatine (and likely the entire restaurant) is just tired and stuck in the last decade. Once a place I would enjoy eating innovative dishes and discovering new flavor combinations, the only thing I found impressive about this last and final meal was their ability to multipurpose ingredients and sauces, like the berries that were featured in both my appetizer and dessert and the cucumber yogurt sauce in both my appetizer and entree. One member of my party ordered the Veal Milanese from the regular menu and served a depressing plate of arugula doused in vinegar and a greasily fried cutlet. This disappointment competed with the molten chocolate cake, which was filled with cheap chocolate and overly-sea-salted caramel ice cream, which made me question humanity. A meal like this is simply not worth anyone's hard earned money. I'd strongly recommend dining elsewhere.
Absolutely exquisite! The service was second to none and the food was incredible. Every bite was amazing.
Mix-up in the kitchen resulted in our entrees not being prepared. The waiter did not notice and even when we inquired where our food was he made up some excuse about it being busy despite people seated after us receiving their entrees and even paying their bill before we received ours. Only after going to the maitres de we're our entrees prepared.
We are fairly "regulars"; last visit lunch July 17.
Tonight dined with friends during Restaurant Week. Dinner for four. Excellent on all counts.
Always excellent food, and is always a treat dining here. The wait staff are attentive however My only recommendation is plates should be cleared when all parties are finished.
Foie gras was uniquely divine. Crab cake was large but ordinary. Pasta with meatballs was too spicy. There were too many spicy choices on the menu. At least one dish in each category should be more plain for less adventurous companions.
The food cannot even compare to fast food. I dont know whether they don't want to cook well or they do not have ability to offer costomer tasty food. And the service is so bad. They never ask you how it taste, I think they may probaly know the answer already, they are just too afraid to know. Basically it nothing comapres to any restruants, even cannot compare to Panera. And it is just as loudly as sports bar. How can this kind of resturant be one star michelin? What a joke! WON'T COME BACK ANYMORE!
The service was not good. They cleaned our table too quickly even we didn’t finish the food. They took our bread before we had one and we asked more with entree but never made it to our table. The menu was not exciting as others his restaurant.
I had the lobster burger and it was amazing. Price was reasonable too. The waitresses are attentive and nice.
The duck is over cooked. Servants were cold even without smile.
We went for restaurant week and we really like the experience, except that the cosmo was a little bit sour, the waiter served the gazpacho so high that poured some drop of soup on my black top and the chicken was a little bit under cooked.
Absolutely delicious and creative meal. Our favorites included the trout crispy sushi, tuna tartare, summer squash pasta and the duck with mole sauce. Highly recommend!
Very overrated. Small child ran around the restaurant disturbing everyone, people stood at the bar in shorts and flip flops, the table behind us loudly complained about everything, and food was way too spicy. My daughter asked that her pasta dish come without the hot peppers and, of course, it was served with hot peppers. We were so excited to go to a Jean-George restaurant, but are now wondering what is all the fuss about. Maybe they weren't trying very hard because it was restaurant week.
