About Nougatine at Jean Georges
Nougatine is the more casual sister of Jean-Georges, with a very lively bar scene at night. The restaurant attracts a mix of celebrities, socialites, and movers and shakers in the business world. Adjacent to the formal Jean-Georges dining room, Nougatine serves the signature and seasonal dishes of Chef Jean-Georges for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, 365 days a year. The menu is more casual than that offered at Jean-Georges but still market driven, utilizing only the freshest and finest ingredients. In addition to providing gorgeous views of Central Park, the newly renovated dining room by Thomas Juul-Hansen features a bustling, immaculate open kitchen. Tones of brown and cream mingle to create an elegant space that is soothing by day and exciting by night. Nougatine offers a prix-fixe lunch menu Monday through Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.

Nougatine at Jean Georges Ratings and Reviews
beautiful menu- very charming and knowledgeable service staff. Loved the food. only issue was bread not what it used to be, but so few d us eat bread anymore that it’s no big deal. Really appreciate that they have interesting non alcoholic drinks and FANTASTIC coffee served with a pitcher of steamed milk.
We love Nougatine. The prix fix lunch is a great value and dinner is refined and always special. We have been going Nougatine or Jean Georges for the past 8 years and it never disappoints. Chef Jean Georges is mostly there everyday overseeing the service. A gem of a restaurant...and Chef!
Phenomenal experience overall! We were visiting from Minneapolis and were in search for a restaurant with great ambiance, great food & not a pre-fixed menu. My husband & I sat at the bar for a drink/appetizer and moved to the dining area for dinner. Would recommend this to anyone in search of a great dinner spot!
We live around the corner from this restaurant and visit for a casual, civilized dining experience. The food and the service have always been consistent however last night, for some reason, we were excluded from the amuse bouche as well as the tiny offering of after dinner chocolates. Strange. After 2008 there was a shift in many of the restaurants in order to cut expenses. Unfortunately it's been those little things that made a restaurant special and this establishment was no exception. No longer was there an offer of choices of bread, no longer were there nice placemats on the tables, delicate sugar cubes were replaced with packets of ordinary sugar. It's sad that even the nicest restaurants that charge the most money for the dining experience find it necessary to cut back on the little things that make it special.
We had lunch for three and chosen the prefixed menu. The food was very good and the wine which was selected by the sommelier was perfect matched to the food we had chosen. There were some troubles connected though with the ambiance of the restaurant. First of all the plates in which the dishes were served were scratched on the sides, which was very unexpected. Secondly, they served french fries along with lobster burger and to that dish we had ordinary ketchup, without any touch of the restaurant. If the restaurant had come up with a ketchup blending that was totally different from the usual one which we are used to get anywhere else it should raise up the level. Finally the coffee, it was cold and very light in taste. In total, we are very satisfied and warmly recommend this restaurant.
underwhelming and disappointing experience. inattentive hostess (3 standing like having a job to stand there) to the meal that is way too salty and nothing special. I had a high hope for Jean George restaurant. Without his name, this restaurant would not survive. Mediocre ingredients drawn in salty sauce.
