Nougatine is the more casual sister of Jean-Georges, with a very lively bar scene at night. The restaurant attracts a mix of celebrities, socialites, and movers and shakers in the business world. Adjacent to the formal Jean-Georges dining room, Nougatine serves the signature and seasonal dishes of Chef Jean-Georges for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, 365 days a year. The menu is more casual than that offered at Jean-Georges but still market driven, utilizing only the freshest and finest ingredients. In addition to providing gorgeous views of Central Park, the newly renovated dining room by Thomas Juul-Hansen features a bustling, immaculate open kitchen. Tones of brown and cream mingle to create an elegant space that is soothing by day and exciting by night. Nougatine offers a $44 prix-fixe lunch menu Monday through Friday from noon to 2:30p.m.

Still the best prix fix lunch in town. Love the tuna tartare and salmon. Desserts are always wonderful.

Our family always enjoy the dining here. This brunch we ordered the foie gras, the lobster burger, and the pork chops. The foie gras was delicious. Lobster burger - good enough. Pork chop was disappointing - not as juicy/tender as it should be.
The service and ambience is always good. So still a go to on our list.

One of the best places in New York for an elegant and delicious lunch.
The prix fixe menu offers a good selection of exquisitively prepared dishes .

Great business lunch with a lovely window view of Central Park. In lieu of main courses, we shared 5 appetizers (& wine & dessert ) Pricey but oh so worth it!!

Food is good as usual, some interesting changes to the menu is great. My order of sweetpea soup and angelhair pasta were delicious. Good service by the servers. Only so-so part was the receiptionist's snobby attitute. Can we get some smile while welcoming guests?!

Always a grand slam home run at Nougatine. Bar or table the ambiance is wonderful and food fantastic. Tuna tartare portion has noticeably decreased in size, but the food is so healthy with fresh ingredients that sharing the famous original lava dessert is guilt free.

While the food is still very good I think that it has moved away from it's original Belgium roots to encompass a more American style of food. We had an issue with another table who were very "loud' and insensitive but the staff dealt with that impeccably, so while we felt that it is not quite as good as it used to be we still had an enjoyable evening.

The ambiance, food, service all were top notch. I found our waiter really patient as we took our time ordering because we were catching up from not seeing each other for so long. He was also so good and would show up when we needed, was knowledgeable and unobtrusive. I had the skate, which had very fresh, Asian flavoring with snow peas. Lemon creme brulée -delicious tartness.Out of this world. Our view was of Central Park and we got the table we requested, which we really appreciated.
The food is pricey but well worth it. I'll definitely come here for a special occasion.

The shrimp salad came with a mound of greens looking like deli plate. Very disappointed because I always have this dish and it was presented much more delicately before. I was treating my guest and felt embarrassed.

The martini was perfect. Service was excellent. The foie gras was delicious but not special. The trout on the crispy sushi rice was excellent as was the salmon. The most delicious, exceptional item we tried was the peanut banana and caramel tart. The dessert menu will definitely bring me back.

Prefix lunch was very good but getting more expensive. Including wine its getting an expensive lunch and we may consider to change the venue for lunch during our biannual visit to NYC

Nougatine do a fabulous value lunch at $44.00 for 3 courses.
We have been before when we were in NYC.
It was no exception last Thursday 28 March.
Good food, great service in a wonderful room overlooking Central Park.

Outstanding as always.
Bartender, servers and sommelier were all very intelligent, professional, conversational and charming.
We had a great time pairing our wines and courses. We had the beef Tenderloin and Ragu pasta with Robert Foley Cab-Sauv suggested by Peter. It was a better choice over the amarone we wanted. Tuna tartare appetizer. Three hard cheeses and chocolate ice cream for dessert.

Truly exceptional from the second we arrived. The prosciutto wrapped pork chop and angel hair with asparagus and morel were fantastic - thank you to everyone in the kitchen! Kunal, our server, was top notch and made sure that we had a great evening. Will be back as soon as possible.

I reserved window side seat but I could not need arranged even though I could see the available table at window side when I was at another table. I did not complain yesterday because I would not like to break the good mode with my friends. Your detailed food made us impressed. As like this, I hope your service can be improved more with delicate concerns for customers.

Usually I like this restaurant, but this was the 1st time we dined there on Sunday. It was a totally different experience - service was below their standard, which spoiled our evening. I will not go back there on Sundays for sure.

Wife and I had the tasting menu at Nougatine and had a deep conversation on whether the tasting menu at $350 (which for us includes tax, tip, 2 cocktails and 1 Cappuccino) all in, is as good as Per Se for about $850. Wife thinks it is, I'm not so sure, the only slight miss was the Seared Beef Tenderloin, mine was a little tough and the Miso Mustard sauce on the plate was a little "Atomic". I assured my wife Jean Georges doesn't use the word Atomic in his menu descriptions. A great luxury dinner and the price really isn't over the moon.

Our server was amazing . We had Kanal (sp?) and he was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and made our experience so special. The food was great especially the tuna tartare. We ordered it three times! Amazing! Everything was really good and the overall experience was fantastic!
