   Shay was our waiter and she was AMAZING! Knew her menu and wine list, incredibly attentive and very friendly. We sat upstairs and were very grateful there was an open table at the window w/the garage doors up so we could truly take in the view of the water and pier. I grew up in GH so it was a treat to come home and have such a wonderful experience. Thank you!

   We love Noto’s, but this time was disappointing. We ordered a bottle of wine, but our server mentioned it was his first bottle service. He had no idea what to do at the table (which we don’t really care, but the training wasn’t there). It took an hour for our food to come out, a hostess ran our food out and we didn’t have silverware, when we asked for it the host brought us forks and knives in her hand (not wrapped) so I asked for napkins. She asked if we wanted the two that happened to be crumbled up in her hands… but assured us they were clean. Mine was stained with food and had holes in them, but we were brought fresh napkins a few minutes later. Server didn’t check back with us, my boyfriend had to get up to ask for more tartar sauce and the table wasn’t cleared as we finished entrees and ordered a final drink. We arrived for a 7:45 reservation on a Tuesday evening, and it wasn’t noticeably slammed. We didn’t even know our servers name. Luckily we had a table outside to watch the beautiful sunset, but the service was just bad this time around.

   Only real reason to go is that it’s right in Lake Michigan and the view is spectacular. Food was only ok; our party got a wide variety and all thought the same. Service was terrible - took FOREVER & when someone did come they didn’t really seem “with it” and then we’d have a second person eventually check on us just to have the first follow up and ask the same things. And no, they weren’t training; they just couldn’t seem to get things worked out! For what we paid, I would have expected a higher level of service. I honestly would go somewhere cheaper and then head to the beach for the views; you’ll be much happier!

   They were extremely short of staff. Only after we flagged the bartender did we get to order. She was real friendly and thanked us for our patience. The food was real expensive but that would not be a problem but I had fettuccine and clams and the clams were literally impossible to eat. It was like a chewing on rubber bands. I was hoping to take my wife to a fine restaurant for our anniversary but this experience ruined it.

   Reservations for 730, not seated until after 8. Waiter was indifferent, took drink order, waited 15 more minutes for glass of wine, served by someone else. Appetizers and meal both served by someone else. Waiter was either too busy or indifferent to wait on us personally. Only when spoken to by manager was he more responsive. Food was delicious, I will say. Experience, not so much.

   Great spot and beautiful view! Our only complaint was the wait. Most people made rezzo’s but still had a long wait. We had a 7:15 rezzo and got sat at 8pm. Lucky we weren’t in a hurry. We’d still go back :)

   Lettuce on salad not fresh wilted, forgot meatballs for spaghetti they were brought finally near end of dinner. From what I can see you go for the view not the food. Noise to loud to to have much of a conversation

    We had reservations for 6 adults at 6:15 for Mother’s Day dinner. We ended up only having 5 in our party and when we arrived there was a 6 top table being cleared. We had asked to sit at that table and were told there was another reservation for 6 that they needed that table for. So our party of 5 adults was sat at a 4 top with 1 at the end of the table. Ended up that party of six that needed the 6 top only ended up being a party of 4. Our concerns were not taken seriously and frankly we had eye rolls from the hostess. Our server was not attentive and clearly overwhelmed with her duties even though the restaurant seemed fully staffed as I observed other staff members standing around. The only redeeming about our experience was the food. The food was delicious. This was my second time dining at this restaurant and while I’ll dine there again, I won’t come with a large party.

    Where to begin. We had reservations at 2:30, but we were rushed upstairs as the hostess said, "We have reservations coming in at 2:30, so we'll put you upstairs." Upstairs was open walls on a 62 degree day. My father expressed concern that my elderly mom is always cold and only had a sweater on. We were told it was a comfortable temperature up there. It was NOT. It was cold and breezy upstairs. Our waiter was mediocre, at best, but he was also stretched thin and working downstairs AND upstairs, so we did not get the attention that one would expect at an expensive restaurant. There were plenty of other staff standing around when we needed water or sodas refilled, but none of them covered for each other. The online menu doesn't match the menu at the restaurant. I went intending to order scallops, but they were no longer an entree, which was disappointing (but forgivable). My mom went to order next, and she ordered lamb. At that time, we were informed they has no lamb. She opted for the walleye, which had good reviews, so she wasn't too disappointed...until the food arrived after a more than 45 minute wait. The walleye was burned on the skin side (which explained the burning smell that permeated the restaurant!) One doesn't eat the skin, so she tried to eat the food, but the fish was so overcooked she couldn't cut through it with her fork. Other than the overcooked fish, the roasted potatoes were flacid and the green beans were undercooked (not even al dente). The sad part about that was that the potatoes and beans were the only sides offered on all of the meals that were offered. While we didn't have time to wait for a new piece of fish to be fried, our waiter did get that dish taken off the bill. My mom shared my calamari (which was delicious), and she left hungry. All in all, the best part of the restaurant was that it was down the street from Pronto Pups - at least they never disappoint!

    Over priced food that wasn't all that great. Fish tacos - one little slice of fish, Chicken Pesto Pizza - one or two small pieces of chicken per slice and barely any pesto, was served pretty much cold and hard. One dish was served very late because server messed up. Very slow service. Was there when first open, thought I'd give it another shot and now I won't be back...just not worth it.

    We will not be returning. High end prices with low end service. Managers were barking orders at the servers, the hostesses didn't know what was going on. Waited at the bar for a drink but no one ever helped us. Our server was never around and the wait time for everything from drinks to dinner was insanely long. Our food was not worth the high cost.

    Great location right on the lake but difficult to find parking (had to park down the street). Beautiful setup in the restaurant (all tables can see the lake). A lot of menu options (the clams, walleye, perch, prime rib, and steak were all very good). A little pricey but worth it given the view. Service was quite slow but other than that, a good experience.

    I know I gave 5 stars for everything but we really did enjoy the whole experience. Such a beautiful view from our table too. It was our anniversary and we chatted about the past 34 years and what we want for the next many years to come…not too loud for our quiet conversation. Food added such a nice touch to our night!     The service was incredibly slow and felt the manager onsite could’ve done more to help the serving and wait staff. Perhaps he could’ve helped with running drinks, delivering food, etc. I don’t work in the food industry but can see when staff are missing the mark in throwing in a helping hand when tables are stagnant from service. Keep trying Noto’s! Your location is what will keep us coming back….for a cocktail, not food. Overpriced mediocre food won’t cut it for these foodies! Good luck

    The BilMar has been one of our favorite restaurants since we fist go married 38 years ago. When the Notos took over they improved it to another level. We love going there on our anniversary. We plan our dinner to be there when the sun goes down. Great service, great food, and great setting.

    I was skeptical going here because there weren’t great photos online, but once I walked in this restaurant blew me away. The food, atmosphere, and overall dining experience were exceptional. The fact that it’s off the beach is a huge plus as well.

    Highly recommend Notos at the Bilmar in Grand Haven. Only problem which towards the end of our dinner was resolved, the music was very loud and annoying but was later turned off.

    We were celebrating a birthday and left disappointed. I don’t think the issues we had reflect the whole restaurant, just our server. It took awhile before we were greeted, like 15 minutes, which was fine. Our server however hardly checked in on us at all, and when I found a bug in my drink, she didn’t even apologize or care. She still charged me for the drink too! I didn’t even drink it, and there was a bug in it! I ordered the pasta with the sausage and instead of letting me know that they were out of sausage, the food runner brought out my food informing me they were out of sausage and instead brought meatballs. That’s fine, luckily I like both, but why didn’t she inform us of this before the food hit the table. She didn’t take our order until after we were long done with our appetizers, which both came out separately. She never checked in to see how our dinner was. She didn’t even let us look over the bill before she ran my card. I was upset that I was still charged for my drink when there was a bug in it, this let’s me know she didn’t tell a manager or think it mattered. Overall, she made our special occasion not enjoyable. I did see the tables around us get MUCH better service from the two gentlemen servers in the area. I’m just a little disappointed, but I don’t hold it against the restaurant. I think it was just a server issue.

    Wait staff, Kyle, was prompt, friendly, and efficient. Bruschetta appetizer was a bit small to share, but otherwise excellent. Walleye entrees were phenomenal - perfectly baked, great seasonings, and served hot. Side veggies of fresh asparagus and sliced new potatoes a great and tasty complement to the main course. Price points good, and with a great view of Lake Michigan it was well worth the short drive from Grand Rapids. We'll be back - !

    We had to wait an hour to be seated despite making a reservation. They somehow overbooked and unfortunately did not have the tables or the staff to accommodate that level. I am not sure what happened but might have been better just to decline the reservation so everyone including us would not have had to stand and wait an hour when we all had reserved a table.     Made a reservation 2 weeks before the dinner. Arrived 10 minutes early to the restaurant. It is understood that maybe waiting for a reservation based on staffing is likely, no problem. Waited 1 hour past our reservation. Never got seated. Left so we could get dinner. Never have been to Noto’s, no reason to go back.

    Packed Saturday night! Our reservation was for 6:15, and we didn't get sat until nearly 7, which was a little irksome.but otherwise, everything about the entire night was great. Our busy server was friendly and professional and the food was fantastic! Would definitely recommend if you're planning on spending an evening with a fantastic view. It was really wonderful. Food was excellent and I didn't feel like it was overly expensive. Will be back!

    Fantastic service as always! Mary W was the best! We started with the best calamari we’ve had in a very long time. Then had a delicious Noto salad and finished it off with the Noto Original pizza. So good!

    It was a very busy Saturday night. We had reservations and were seated right away. Great variety on the menu. I had the encrusted ribeye and partner had the walleye. Both very good. I had cannolis for dessert. They were made fresh and the best I’ve ever had. Views of Lake Michigan are fantastic and very lively vibe. Not a place for a quiet romantic evening.     100 out of 10!!! :) Best birthday dinner ever!!! The entry doors: SO cool and welcoming! Hostess was a doll. The view: the best of the BEST! Lake Michigan SO beautiful! Seated right by the window. So appreciated for our special night! Make reservations and come early as everyone loves this delightful place for GOOD REASON :) !!! Kayleigh was a doll and the best server: incredible recommendations!!! So sweet! Most delicious food: from the calamari to our yummy cocktails, to the spectacular shrimp and scallop pasta, and chicken parmesan, our whole party was SO THRILLED with our whole birthday experience! The birthday cannoli was yum, so delicious as was the peanut butter dessert: too good for words. Seriously 100 out of 10: almost canceled our other in town reservations for the rest of the week to return here instead for family here from CA!!! Yes, it's THAT spectacular!! :)
